簡介
Two completely different kingdoms, two royal children unexpectedly meet in a forest. They meet at night for two months before not seeing each other again for ten years. Chapter 3 Calla’s POV Ten years later I was summoned to my father’s study within the Phoenix castle. Told it was an urgent matter that needed to be discussed. I walked as fast as I possibly could wearing a big puffy dress that is an off the shoulder, sweetheart neckline, ball gown that sparkled with tiny diamonds and looked as if it was doused in flames. I am the first born child of the Phoenix Kingdom at age nineteen, Princess Calla Natori. My hair was waist length and looked as if the setting sun had dyed it from being out too long. My eyes were a rare sun gold color that sometimes matched my wings that seemed to have been dipped in fire itself. The spitting image of my great grandmother. I am the only child in generations to resemble a traditional Phoenix, while my father, stepmother, and half brother as well as all the other Phoenix's in the kingdom resemble the Phoenixes of the night. Walking up to the doors of my father’s study I knock before being told to come in. “Father? You asked for me?” I asked once I stood in front of him as he sat at his desk. “Yes, the King and Queen of the Dragon’s have proposed the idea of arranging a marriage between you and their crown Prince, Aiden Draca. I asked for you to come here to see if you will agree.” He said as he looked up at me from the pile of papers on his desk. I was shocked, me? Marry Aiden? Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy, but also afraid that he might not recognize me after ten years of being apart of if he will even be the same as when we were kids. “I do agree,” I said a little too quickly making father look at me suspiciously. “I mean, for the treaty to stay intact, and to keep our kingdoms at peace. I don’t want anymore wars to occur.”

The Princess of the Phoenix kingdom, Calla, was the only child of King Sorin and the late Queen Callia. Since her mother’s death Calla has been kept within the castle walls and never once left, until one night she snuck out into the woods behind the castle and found something magnificent.

His wings were like the night sky, his hair a dark shade of blue, his eyes glowed like the stars in the night sky and shined like the silver moon. Little did Calla know that the boy before her was the prince of the Dragon kingdom. Why he was there she didn’t know, she was too mesmerized by his beauty to even speak.

The Prince of the Dragon kingdom, said to be the night itself, with beauty so uncanny it was impossible to resist him. Prince Aidan was the only child of King Ozan and Queen Amelie, Aidan had fled from his home and unknowingly fell into the forest behind the castle in the Phoenix kingdom, where Calla had found him.

Aidan had hurt his wing and couldn’t fly; he heard a noise in the distance and looked to where Calla was standing staring at him. Her hair looked as if the setting sun had graced her with its light, her eyes were golden like the sun, and her wings were like a fire that had been dimmed to fit in with the night.

“Who, are you?” Aidan asked as he stared back at her, he was mesmerized by her beauty just as she was by his. Calla had been said to be the day itself as it set into night, the most beautiful girl in the entire Phoenix kingdom, just as Aidan was the most beautiful boy in the Dragon kingdom. The two kingdoms had signed a peace treaty and thus lived in peace for nearly five centuries.

“My name is Calla, who, are you?” Calla asked as she slowly got closer to him, once she was close enough, she saw his wing and gasped “Y-you’re a dragon!” She exclaimed in shock then took a closer look at him “And your wing is hurt.” She knelt next to him and took out some bandages from her bag she had been carrying.

“My name is Aiden, and, I am a dragon, but you’re a phoenix, what are you doing out here so late at night?” He asked as he watched her, tense with her being so close to him.

“I had snuck out, ever since my mother died my father had kept me inside my room. I never knew why, but father said he would explain everything to me once I got older. Say, how old are you?” She asked as she bandaged his wing gently.

“I’m ten, how old are you?” He asked as he let her bandage his wing.

“I’m nine, I’m going to be ten in three months,” she said “There, now you’re all bandaged up, how did you get all the way here to the Phoenix kingdom?” She asked, her voice soft like summer rain.

“I’m, in the Phoenix kingdom? I’m not supposed to be here, if my mother and father find out, I’ll be grounded for at least ten more years if not the rest of my life.” He said sounding a bit scared and worried.

“Only if they find out, we just have to make sure they don’t,” she said and giggled. “We should go to my hiding place so your wing can heal, you can’t fly if your wing is hurt so badly.”

“Are you sure you want to take a dragon to your hiding place?” Aidan asked as he watched Calla get up.

“You’re nothing like the stories, you’re not hideous nor blood thirsty, you’re just a boy with an injured wing.” She said innocently.

“I won’t always be like this, when I get older, I’ll be dangerous, I might even lose my humanity.” He said as he got up.

“Promise to visit me here at night whenever you can then you won’t have to worry about losing it,” she said and held out her hand for his.

Aidan looked at her hand then took it then looked at her, “I’ve never seen eyes so gold like yours, so lively and bright.”

“And I’ve never seen eyes that shined like the moon and shimmered like the stars. I never knew a dragon could be so beautiful.”

At that Aidan’s face turned slightly red and he turned away “A girl shouldn’t say such things to a guy,” he said. “Especially to a dragon.”

“Well, it’s the truth, I was taught that all dragons were ruthless blood thirsty beasts, that were hideous and wanted to kill everyone in sight.”

“Your stories are wrong, those are old stories that were told to make you fear us, not all dragons are bad. Same goes with Phoenix’s, not all of you are bad.” Aidan said and smiled as he followed her through the trees.

“Of course they were wrong, I met you and found out that they were wrong about you.” Calla said and led him to a cave, “Stay here until your wing heals, I’ll be back with some ointment to help it heal and rebandage it,” she said.

“Thank you,” Aidan said and smiled at her as she left.

An hour later Calla came back with a basket full of bandages and sat next to Aidan, he had fallen asleep and had his wings folded around him.

“Aidan, wake up, I need to take care of your wing,” Calla said as she shook him.

Aidan woke up and stretched out his wings and arms and once he did that to his right wing, he immediately hunched over in pain “Ow!” He yelled.

“Be careful Aidan, don’t do that or you’ll hurt yourself more,” Calla said as she gently took his wing and started to take the old bandages off.

“Sorry,” Aidan said as he let her fix his wing.

“Now old still,” she said.
