"Where the hell has that woman gone? Catch her quickly, don't let her escape!"

The footsteps behind her were getting closer and closer. With alcohol pervading her body, Sheryl Clarke stumbled into a slightly ajar room, crashing onto the bed in a disheveled state.

Her alcohol-dulled mind had only one thought: she could not be taken by those guys!

In the dark, she vaguely heard another heavy breath.

She instinctively looked up, meeting a pair of intense crimson eyes.

"Get out!"

The man seemed to be trying hard to hold back, gritting his teeth and glaring at her fiercely.

Hasty footsteps came from outside the door, and she could faintly hear someone calling her name.

Sheryl, her face filled with fear, shook her head hurriedly, "No! Don't chase me out! Please, I can't go out!"

Her drink had been drugged. She did not dare think what could happen if she fell into the clutches of those thugs.

Her body felt increasingly weak as if a fire was burning fiercely in her belly.

Unbearable...

Tears welled up in Sheryl's eyes. An endless feeling of emptiness compelled her to throw herself onto the man, "Save me, please call the police, I..."

"Let go!"

"No, I beg you... Help me..."

"Get lost! Don't touch me!"

The man's voice was angry yet restrained, and his eyes, almost spewing fire, glared at the woman who shamelessly broke into his room.

Sheryl's mind was barely clear. All she could hear were the footsteps growing closer to the door. She clung to his clothes, refusing to let go and mumbling incessantly under her breath.

To ruin her, they even resorted to hiring these thugs!

She couldn't fall into their hands! Absolutely not!

The man's eyes were bloodshot. The suppressed drug effects in his body burst forth due to her actions.

He gritted his teeth and grabbed Sheryl's hand. "You’re asking for this, so don't regret it!"

His self-control had always been impeccable, but at that moment, facing the woman who had suddenly invaded his territory, his body was beyond control.

Sheryl had yet to realize the danger she was in. The few remaining bits of sanity told her to hold tight to the potential lifesaver before her.

Then a sharp pain made her momentarily sober.

"What are you doing? Let me go! Let me go now!"

Sheryl struggled frantically, yelling with all her strength until her voice cracked.

A domineering aura swept over her, darkening her vision. The man's tall figure was slightly bent over. Her hand was held tightly, almost broke from the unbearable pain.

He didn't give her a chance to refuse. Seemingly annoyed by her noise, he sealed her lips with a kiss.

"Damn it! I will take responsibility." He cursed out loud, seemingly not having expected her to be a virgin.

Sheryl's tears kept falling, continuously shaking her head. Her tears clouded her vision, leaving her unable to clearly see the man's face.

After an indeterminable amount of time, Cassius Meyers gradually regained consciousness.

Under the dim light, he couldn't see the woman's face, but he could hear her faint sobbing even in her unconscious state.

The conspicuous virgin blood on the bedsheets was particularly pitiable.

Cassius had always kept a distance from women, let alone having sex, which he found distasteful.

Yet, this time proved to be an exception.

Although the effects of the drug played a significant role, it was her faint herb scent that had him utterly captivated.

Long ago...

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

Cassius's eyebrows furrowed. He quickly got dressed and opened the door.

"Sir, those men are on our trail. We must leave immediately."

Cassius frowned, shifting his gaze to the woman curled up like a cocoon. His voice deepened, "Arrange someone to guard here, take her to my villa when she wakes up."

"Yes, I will arrange it immediately."

With the current situation, he didn't have the luxury to stay with the woman he had forced. He could only continue the tender moments with her once she was safely brought back to the Meyers Mansion.

He detached a medal from the collar of his shirt. He had originally wanted to get a clear look at her face but couldn't bear the thought of waking her from her deep sleep.

Under relentless pressure from his subordinates, he had no choice but to thrust the medallion representing the Meyers Ventures into her pocket.

Before leaving, he chanced upon a business card in her pocket.

"Zoe Clarke from the Clark Group."

In Mistwood, there was only one powerful Clark family.

His eyes warm, he casually put the card into his pocket and delicately kissed her on her disheveled hair.

"I'll be back."

He whispered in her ear, his voice more tender than it had ever been.

The room door was closed again, but Sheryl opened her eyes wide in surprise, her bright pupils filled with intense fear.

She was awakened when he kissed her.

Feeling the sourness and pain of her body, tears uncontrollably trickled onto the messy sheets.

Bearing her utter desperation, Sheryl quickly left the room, which seemed like a nightmare to her.

She arrived home with her body that was tormented all night, the strong smell of alcohol still lingering.

As soon as Sheryl pushed open the home door, a glass cup was hurled towards her.

She subconsciously dodged but instantly heard her father, James Clarke's furious reprimand.

“You shameless wretch! Look what you've done! You've disgraced our family!"
