Around noon, the Qingfeng Restaurant was buzzing with chatter.

Elena Green sat by the window, gently twisting her juice glass in her hand, but her eyes kept flicking over to the man sitting across from her.

As a top graduate from a 211 university, she really couldn’t wrap her head around why her mom would set her up with someone like this.

“I’m Elena Green. 211 graduate. Annual income is 200K,” she said, highlighting her credentials with a touch of pride in her tone.

“Leo Winters. High school diploma. Monthly income: 4,000,” the man across from her replied calmly and briefly.

Hearing that, Elena sighed silently.

Sure, Leo looked decent, but with that income? No matter how handsome, without a solid financial base, he was just eye candy.

An awkward silence fell between them.

Elena absentmindedly scrolled on her phone, stealing glances at Leo here and there.

He noticed the look in her eyes — clear disdain — but he didn’t care. His expression was still calm, almost indifferent.

Then, Leo’s phone buzzed, cutting through the tension with a crisp “ding.”

He glanced at it.

[Ding! You have 7 billion red envelopes waiting. Open now?]

Leo couldn’t help but chuckle. Seven billion? That’s like every single person on Earth sent him one. Too ridiculous.

Normally, he’d close a pop-up like that right away. But today was just that boring. Might as well see what kind of nonsense this was.

With nothing better to do, he tapped “confirm.”

The screen flashed with a blinding red light, and a shiny envelope icon popped up.

He tapped it.

“Congrats! You’ve received ¥19,999!”

A second envelope appeared. He tapped again.

“Congrats! You’ve received ¥99!”

By the third one, Leo started getting suspicious. Was this some kind of endless loop? What a boring gimmick.

Just as he was about to quit, his phone buzzed again.

Two bank text alerts showed up.

“12:00 — ¥19,999 credited to your account.”

“12:00 — ¥99 credited to your account.”

His eyes widened.

Wait... that’s exactly what the app just showed.

These weren’t fake?

Not a scam?

Curiosity piqued, he tapped another envelope.

“Ding! Congrats! You’ve received ¥29,999!”

“Ding! ¥2,000 credited to your account!”

“Ding! You’ve gained professional-level driving skills! You’ll handle any vehicle like a pro.”

“Ding! ¥5 credited to your account!”

His fingers moved faster, tapping each new red envelope, while his phone buzzed like crazy with new deposit notifications.

It was real. All of it.

Across the table, Elena watched Leo poke at his screen nonstop, a deep line forming between her brows.

She leaned over slightly to sneak a look.

“Congrats! You’ve received ¥5!”

She frowned harder.

Honestly, how could someone get so obsessed over a few measly bucks?

As someone polished, well-educated, and with a solid income, she simply couldn’t understand.
