The neon lights shimmered with enchanting brilliance in the pitch-black night, transforming this place into a paradise that men couldn't resist—the Night Paris!
Night Paris was a nightclub primarily known for its drinks and the sizzling, provocative dances performed on stage. The place was a hit, not just because the bartenders concocted uniquely flavored drinks, but also, and more importantly, because of the mesmerizing dance moves and the stunning dancers who captivated the male audience. The clientele mainly consisted of young, wealthy playboys.
Now, take a look at the dancer on stage. Though referred to as a "dancer," she was actually a very young girl. She wore a pink short-sleeved top, white mid-length pants, and black high heels. Regular patrons called her the "Pink Dancer."
She was an exceptionally beautiful girl with a particularly striking figure—tall and slender, with curves in all the right places, and long, straight legs. As she danced provocatively on stage, swaying her slender waist and shapely hips, the men's eyes were glued to her. Many began to laugh and chatter, and some even threw money onto the stage. The Pink Dancer paid no attention to the gazes around her. With her long hair flowing, she danced with complete abandon, her pretty face exuding sensuality.
As the music ended, the men below roared her name, and some even whistled. Amid the thunderous applause, the Pink Dancer calmly exited the stage and headed backstage. The backstage area was bustling with performers—some still applying makeup, others changing clothes. Despite its size, the place felt somewhat cramped.
"Jiegeng, you're back so soon? It's my turn now," said a girl in her early twenties to the Pink Dancer who had just walked in. So, the Pink Dancer's name was Jiegeng.
"Yeah, my ears are practically ringing from all that noise. I can't stand those men," Bai Jiegeng complained, then smiled at the girl. "Fengling, it's your turn now."
"Oh no, I haven't finished my eye makeup yet. Ugh," Fengling said casually, turning to another red-haired girl. "Yingzi, you go on first."
"Alright," Yingzi replied cheerfully and headed out. It seemed these young dancers got along quite well.
Jiegeng sat down next to Fengling, who was applying her makeup in front of a large mirror. "Your dancing is getting better and better, and more daring too," Fengling remarked.
"Cut it out," Jiegeng shot back with a laugh, rolling her eyes. She sighed deeply, her expression turning serious. "Ugh, I have exams next week, so I won't be able to come for a while. What about you?"
"I'm not sure yet, we'll see. Will you come back after your exams?" Fengling asked curiously.
"Of course. Dancing brings me joy," Jiegeng stated firmly.
"It's dancing in front of a crowd of men that brings you joy, isn't it? Haha," Fengling teased, laughing. She and Jiegeng were not just classmates but also close friends who had both ended up as dancers at Night Paris, so they spoke to each other without any reservations.
"Not entirely. I just love the thrill of it," Jiegeng said with a mysterious smile.
"Me too," Fengling replied, winking at her conspiratorially. Both girls burst into laughter.

Bai Jiegeng took a taxi home. She patted her pockets and rummaged through her bag, realizing she had forgotten her keys. Reluctantly, she rang the doorbell. The housekeeper, Aunt Yan, pressed the button to let her in.
