Hurriedly packing all of what her hands could take up, she stuffed them in a bag before slugging it over her shoulder. Creeping through the dark house, she quietly opens the front door before quietly closing it. Walking down the pathway, despite it being dark, she was familiar with it. Reaching the gate, she looked back at the house that had only a single light on in the top room, before putting the hood over her head and walking away without even as much as a glance back.
In the Russo’s family's residence in Venice City.
It was right out of a fairy tale or what Mrs. Russo would think it to be. She made sure everything was well planned – the décor, food, flowers… everything you could think of. She wanted no screw-ups and she made sure there was no room for error. Looking down at the courtyard, streamers and lanterns were decked across it. Car, after car was pulling up at the front, and guests, were all pooling out and walking into the courtyard. Gasps from other guests could be heard every now and then when a luxurious car pulled up. Rolling her eyes at their nonsense, she continued to watch the decorators run around trying to make the place perfect. Hearing the door open, she saw the maid come in with a look that she had on her face, it was one she did not want to see.
She knew it meant one thing and she was totally dreading it.
Hurrying to the bride’s room, she could feel her entire body trembling. “Madam, “ Jesse the gardener called out. “Me and the other guys searched the entire premises, but we were still not able to find her.” Looking at the wedding dress laying on the bed, she tried to not look worried and also not to faint.
“Where the hell did she go?” Mrs. Russo barked. Her lips trembled and her whole body continued to shake. She wanted to break down but again had to be strong.
“She may have ran off, we all knew-” fixing him with a look he immediately shut his mouth. To say he was embarrassed was the least but Jesse was terrified of her. Of course Mrs. Russo had come to that conclusion when he announced he couldn’t find her but just hearing it make everything went boom in her head like a bomb went off. She was really facing the reality that she did ran away. What would she tell the guest who were all sitting and waiting for her to walk down the isle? The main act, ran away from her own weeding! What a scandal. Not to mention, how could she explain to Ivannov that his bride ran? She could just imagine what would happen and she couldn’t help but shudder at the thought.
I can’t believe she would have done this to me, my own daughter would disgrace me in such a manner. She knew what was riding on this and she chose to do this to me, to humiliate me! Ms. Russo was dreading the thought of what Ivanov would do, the family was notorious and were known for a few things.
“No worries Mrs. Russo we will find her, but in the meantime we would need to find a solution,” Anna the housekeeper voiced. Mrs. Russo had almost forgotten that she was there, she had so much on the line that she forget people surrounded her.
“Did you find my sister?” Turning in the direction of the voice, they all saw that it was Isabella- the lost bride yonger sister, Santana.”. Great one more problem she had to deal with.
“Jesse you may be excused,” Mrs. Russo quipped before he hurriedly left the room. Looking at Santina, Ms. Russo was plotting, thinking and wondering if her crazy plan would work. Being that she had no other alternatives and the family she was dealing with was no joke, she definitely had to make it work. Walking around her, Mrs. Russo had a wicked gleam in her eye which Anna picked up all too well. Anna was her partner in crime and she knew every look, and knew how to respond to them well.
“Do you think it could work?” Anna asked, a bit skeptical.
“It could. They stated they wanted a daughter of Ian’s but they didn’t specify which one and is just just two years younger than her sister so it could work.”
“Are you sure this could work?” Anna asked again much to Mrs. Russo’s annoyance.
“It has to, I can’t trying to figure this shit out all day! It has to.” Santina was looking at both of them like they were mad. She wanted to know what they were cooking up, but she wanted information about her sister. She didn’t care about these two old hags.
“Santina, why exactly are you here again,”
“I’m here to see if you found my sister. So did you?” Mrs. Russo was taken aback by her tone as it was one she certainly did not appreciate. Fixing her with a cold gaze, she grabbed Santina by her hand but immediately let go. If she wanted this to work, she had to approach the situation carefully as it was very delicate
“Mrs. Russo, I can assure you I have no times for your repeated questions. They are guest downstairs who are getting quite impatient and not to mention Mr. Ivanov who is impatiently waiting at the alter. So please find my sister!”
“Don’t you think if I could, I would brat.”
“Then what are we going to do? We can’t have this type of scandal or gossip.”
“Oh don’t worry dear, I have the perfect solution. How about you doing me a favour?
