He is going to hurt me.

She knows that for a fact as those words kept ringing in her head because she knows that he is capable and she knows that he will.

There is intense fear running all over her body that she cannot explain as she is getting more and more frustrated about what she is going to do. The feeling that she has never felt before is growing deep inside her and she does not even want to head out of the room that she is hiding.

Fear.

There is so much fear inside her.

There is too much fear that she cannot even put into words.

And she knows why he is acting like this but she needed help, ASAP.

“He is going to hurt me.” A soft voice escapes her lips as she holds on tight to her phone as more negative emotions are swirling deep inside of her that she cannot shake off.

“What are you saying?” He answers, forgetting that it was a voicemail. “I don’t understand what you are saying.” He continues to say while he is in complete confusion about what was going on.

There goes another loud bang that is coming right out of the door and it shakes her body in complete fright.

Her hands are shaking and shaking that she cannot suppress. “He-He is….” Her voice is shaking as she looks back to the door. “He is going to hurt me.”

The bang continues to frighten her even more as she tries to gather courage in the back of her head but still can’t find it.

The other man that she is speaking to on the phone was still utterly confused with what was going on yet he was surprised that she called after days of going missing.

She cries over the phone helplessly and silently as she covered her mouth with her hand while he hears a muffled sound of a door banging from her background. “Please help me. Please. Please. You have got to help me. He is going to kill us Please!.”

His ear was ringing as soon as he hears those words from her. He begins to think to himself, “Us? What did she mean by that?” He begins to panic a little bit. “My child. He’s going to kill them.”

“Please help us.” She pleads again then she screams at the guy who is coming from the other side of the door as her knees are shaking in fright, “Leave me the fuck alone!!” She cries louder, wheezing and helplessly asking for help.

He didn’t know what to say after what he heard from her over the phone. In his head he kept repeating the words, “this was a mistake”, as if it was a chant that could save him.

But it was already too late.

He knows too well that it is already too late for him to do something, anything.

She was a mistake to begin with. He continues to think inside his head those words repetitively.

He shakes his head vigorously sideways as he continues to think to himself, “I never should have done that. I never should have done any of those things. I knew it was a big mistake in the first place. I should have never been interested. I never should have done it with her in the first place.”

She was hiding again in her bedroom, crying over the phone and asking for his help as she is drowning herself in fear and anxiety. It has always been like that and he hated getting these voice mails from her. She’s hurt. She’s always been getting hurt lately because of him and there is no one to blame but himself for getting involved in such a mess. She is undeniably hurt and she has been fucking up his state of mind with these messages she had left him.

“Save me, please.” She cries softly,

But in a split second, he was frozen as soon as he hears a door banging open followed by her dreadful scream that echoed through his ears. The woman sounded like she was struggling and that she was fighting with her husband and he was hurting her again mercilessly. He can hear her being dragged around the floor and thrown around the room as she keeps crying and screaming for her husband to stop but he seemed like he couldn’t hear her.

“Get the fuck away from me! Get off me!!” She screams her lungs out as she is trying to get away from her torturous husband.

He lowers his head and drowns himself in regret and guilt as he keeps on hearing her cry for help that he has no idea how to help. He listens to the voicemail more and he felt useless since he couldn’t do anything. He was too late to take this call. He could have helped her and driven her to her place to save her at least.

It’s too late. He thinks to himself guiltily.

There was so much that makes her tremble and feel much worst of a man.

He was not able to help or do anything.

The voicemail ends with a loud banging sound which made him flinch again because he knew that it sounded like a gun. He is holding tight on the phone while his heart is thumping hard in his chest as his mind is in a complete blank. He continues to listen but there was silence now and it makes him feel much more frightened and scared. He felt much more tensed because there was nothing but silence.

As the silence continues to linger, there’s more fear enveloping all over his body and his mind as to what her husband could have done to her.

He could not do it. There is a voice that echoes in the back of his head.

He hopes for something good despite what he heard.

It was then followed by a very deep voice that terrorized him to his core as the words fills into his head, “I am going to come for you Milo Beckett.”

Milo stares at his sweaty palms before pulling them up close to my lips which are trembling. His mind is in a daze and he wishes that this was not happening. As shocked as he is, he couldn’t even find any words to say or think after what he has heard and he does not even want to imagine the fear that her own husband had inflicted to him.

What could have happened? Milo thinks to himself.

“This is going to ruin you! Do you hear me?!” Ricky’s voice echoed loudly throughout the room.

Milo’s hands were shaking tremendously as he stares at his iPhone while his thoughts begin to surge in waves after waves. His mind thinks about the most horrible things that happened after the voicemail was cut off as he tries to wonder what could have happened to her by now.

Worry fills his entire body and the thought of something bad that had happened makes her want to vomit. In his ears, he is still hearing her screaming for help as she constantly calls out his name while she is telling her abusive husband to stop. He was hurting her but he couldn’t do anything. He can’t do anything to help her at the very least of how he ruined her marriage with her husband and how he feels so pathetically guilty.

His thoughts fill his head as voices keep echoing…

You are so pathetic.

You are such a coward.

You are so selfish.

You are so pathetic.

You are such a coward.

You are so selfish.

You are so pathetic.

You are such a coward.

You are so selfish.

You are too selfish that you have only been thinking about yourself after you ruined her.

His eyes travel to the mirror as he stares at himself while asking a question in the back of his head, “Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? What happened to you, Milo? What happened to you, Milo? What happened to you, Milo?”

He shakes his head and thought to himself more, “I was never like this.”

Never at all.

Never.

Ever.

He insists on those words to himself but the guilt was eating him inside out and he does not know what to do after this mess that he got himself into.

Wrong.

This is so wrong.

Everything is a mistake.

There are too many mistakes from this involvement.

Why did it come to this?

Why did this lead to this?

Why did this have to happen?

Why?

What did I do to deserve this?

His thoughts are scattered.

“You better not tell anyone about what you heard, do you understand?!” Ricky’s voice roared.

“What?” Milo chimes, uncomprehending to what Ricky said.

“You should not tell anyone about that voicemail! Are you even hearing me?”

“What do you want me to do?!” Milo says in a raising voice. “You want me to ignore that phone call and her voicemail?” Milo asked, trying to suppress my shaky hands.

“That woman is crazy!”

“That woman needed help!” He screams back.

“It’s out of your hands! Swallow it down the deepest pits of your gut and never tell a single soul because this is bad bad news. He is a piece of complete bad news.” He emphasized her husband’s threat. “He was implying you a warning and you must heed it. Or I swear to God.” He warns me viciously with his worried and much frantic eyes.

“I have to see her. Please Ricky.” Milo begs.

“It has nothing to do with you!”

“It has everything to do with me!”

“And why do you have to go and see her?!”

“She’s carrying my child!” Milo screams so loud as pain is beginning to creep inside his chest.
