The Alpha King of the Gladian Kingdom is looking for his only daughter, Princess Ivory Caladeny. His five-year-old little girl just disappeared while they were walking in the market side together with their troop of soldiers to check if the traders are paying their taxes accordingly.
"So, have you seen the Princess?" The Alpha King's patience is running out. He just had a conversation for a while with a clothing trader hoping to find a good dress for his Luna Queen and little Princess when he suddenly noticed that she already slipped away from his hand.
"Your Majesty, we have not seen yet the Princess. Our men are still in search of her right now," Brandon, one of his elder soldiers replied with worry on his face.
“Do not stop until you find her, even if it means until the end of time!”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
At that moment the little Princess was lying in a stock of silk cloth inside one of the clothing stores in the market. Beside her is a little boy of around seven years old embracing her fragile frame with his a bit strong arms.
"I am the Queen and you are the King," the little girl said, smiling gleefully.
"Yes, and I will care and protect you as my Queen, like the way I embrace you now," the young boy replied while pulling her closer to him.
"Is this the way, a King protects his Queen?" the little girl asked innocently then thought about how his Alpha King Father protects her Luna, Queen Mother.
"Yes, I guess so. This is how I saw my father take care of my mother and when someone would hurt her like my grandmother, my father will embrace her and shield her body with his, to protect her.” It could not be denied that the young boy was proud of his father, the way his eyes sparkled while talking about him.
They were in that glorious yet innocent moment when one of the soldiers looking around heard their tiny voices.
Curious, the soldier peeped into the stock of cloth linens and was shocked to see their little princess being embraced by a little boy while lying on the pile of silk cloth.
Before the soldier could react, he felt that someone was already at his back.
"Princess!" The Alpha King shouted in anger when he saw her daughter being hugged by the young boy while lying on the pile of silk cloth.
Surprised, both the young Princess and the young boy stood up immediately.
"My Alpha King Father looked, I found my King!" She exclaimed while her eyes sparkled with innocent joy.
"Who is the father of this foolish boy?!" The Alpha King shouted in anger that everyone around approached them, including the owner of the clothing store.
"Your Highness, he is my adopted son, what happened?" the owner of the store said with fear. He approached his little boy.
"Bryden, what did you do that angered the Alpha King?" He asked his adopted son.
"I did nothing wrong father. I just took care of my found Queen. I embraced her just like what you usually do with Mother," innocently, the boy replied that made his father’s eyes grew wide, realizing what his kid really did that anger the Gladian’s Alpha King.

"Your son tried to molest my young princess. Before I kill both of you, you better get out of my Kingdom and never to return again!" The Alpha King with clenched fists and in between his gritting teeth said to the store owner, who was then petrified.
"But your Highness, this is where my livelihood is, apology, apology your Highness. I sincerely apologize for my son's actions. He did not know what it means," the store owner was trembling with fear while begging.
But the anger of Alpha King is irreconcilable. "Bring whatever you could bring from your store and go before I totally lost my patience!"
Scrambling to his feet, the store owner grabbed some clothing, held his son's hand, and ran towards his carriage.
"Where are you going my King!" the little Princess shouted while tears ran down her pretty pinkish cheeks.
"I will be back my Queen!" the young boy shouted back as he turned his head to look at her. But his father already grabbed him and stuffed him inside the small carriage together with some of the clothing.
“Get inside my son, hurry, we need to still fetch your Mother at home.”
“Father, where are we going?”
“Somewhere far my son. We need to go away, before the Alpha King could harm us, especially you.”
As the carriage sped away, the little princess cried more.
"Alpha King Father what did you do to my found King? Why did you drive him away?" Sobbing, the little Princess looked up to his father with a bit of anger in her eyes.
The Alpha King kneeled in front of his little princess and kissed her forehead with much affection and love. "My princess, I am your King right now and no one else. I am the only one, who could protect you from enemies and not that little boy. So, stop crying. Someday, when you grow up, you will find your real King."
"But I wanted him to be my King,” she sobbed again.
The Alpha King smiled and tried to pacify her. "Then he will be your King if he is your destined mate. Fate will make him return to you to be with you. Now, stop crying. It will make your eyes bulging and awful.” He teased her.
With that the little princess stopped crying and looked at his father with sparkles in her round, green eyes.
“When I grow up, Bryden will come back, right, Alpha King Father?” she looked up at her father again as if wanting to make sure that what she heard from him a while ago was correct.
The Alpha King of Gladian nodded and said “yes” just to pacify his young Princess’ heart.
The King never knew that what he said became her hope to see Bryden again.
