~Poppy: Age 22~
"Oh my gosh, you look so beautiful," Mom said, walking into the room where I was getting ready.
I smiled lightly and looked down at the wedding dress I was wearing. "Thanks. Do you think Grayson will like it?"
"Oh honey, he's going to love it," Mom said. "He is marrying you after all. I can't believe you're finally getting married. It took that boy long enough to propose. We all thought he was going to do it way earlier. So, are you excited?"
"Excited, nervous, same thing," I said.
"Poppy, there's no need to be nervous," Mom said. "He loves you, you love him."
"I know," I said. "I'm just nervous. I don't know why." I thought I would be more excited than nervous. I mean, I was finally marrying Grayson. He was going to be my husband and no longer my boyfriend or fiance. What was there for me to be nervous about.
"It's a big step," Mom said. "I was so nervous on my wedding day. I mean, I was finally going to marry your father and start a family. Have you and Grayson talked about having more kids?"
I tried my best not to smile. Oh, we talked about it alright. We didn't tell anybody yet that I was pregnant again because there was so much commotion going on with the wedding. Some people thought Grayson and I were crazy for having our wedding literally two months after he proposed, but we really wanted to get married, especially after someone took so long to propose.
I mean, I could have proposed to him the whole time, but he was the one who gave me a promise ring saying how he promised he would ask me to marry him.
"Yeah, we've talked about it," I said, not wanting to say anymore until we decided to tell them, which was actually going to be tonight. I then looked over at Elliot, who was sitting down in a chair with Elizabeth in her lap. "Thank you for helping me pick the dress out, Elliot. You're like the sister I never had."
Elliot gave me a smile. "Well, you helped me pick out mine when I got married. And you're also the sister I never had." She placed Elizabeth on the chair before giving me a hug. "I'm so happy you're getting married to Grayson. He needs someone like you and you need someone like him."
"Thank you," I said. "And thanks for being my maid of honor. You really helped me out throughout the past two months."
"Yeah, of course," Elliot said.
It was a tough choice for me to decide whether Elliot or Belle would be my maid of honor. In the end, I chose Elliot. Belle and I, although we were still friends, weren't as close as we were throughout high school and I honestly felt like Elliot was a closer friend.
Belle wasn't upset with the decision, thankfully. She completely understood my decision and was happy being a bridesmaid as oppose to the maid of honor.
The rest of the wedding attendants were easy to plan out. Belle, Charlie, and Gale were the bridesmaids; Laughlin was the best man; Devon, Tony, and Graeme were the groomsmen; Elizabeth and Ginny were the flower girls; and Ryder was the ring bearer.
Mallory walked into the room, giving me a warm smile. "You look absolutely gorgeous, Poppy," she said.
"Thank you," I said, smiling back.
"I'm so happy you and Grayson are finally getting married," she said. "But if he isn't a good husband, tell me and I'll beat him with my purse."
"It's true," Elliot said. "She did that with Laughlin once when he forgot our anniversary. It wasn't really his fault because it was two days after Elizabeth was born, but still. My grandma won't stop from making sure Grayson treats you right. But I know he will."
"Well, I came here to tell everyone that it's time," Mallory started. "The ceremony is starting in a minute."
When she said that, I immediately felt butterflies in my stomach. Well, it could have been three little babies....
"I'm starting to feel a bit sick," I said, my hands rested on top of my stomach.
"Poppy, there's nothing to be worried about," Mom assured, resting a hand on my shoulder.
"I know," I said. "But, can I have some water?" My morning sickness wasn't exactly gone yet, so I wasn't surprised that I was feeling a bit nauseous, especially because there were three babies inside of me instead of one.
Mom handed me a water bottle and I basically drank more than half of it before I was feeling a bit better. Then came the big moment.
The actual ceremony.
Everyone got ready to head down the aisle. I had to admit, my favorite part was the flower girls because Grayson insisted on one scattered poppies while the other scattered orchids. One of the many, many reasons why I loved Grayson so much. He was so sweet without even trying.
My hands were a bit shaky while I waited for it to be my turn to walk down the aisle. I tried telling myself that there was nothing to be worried about, but it was no helping at all.
"Poppy, stop worrying," Dad said as he stood behind me.
"I can't help it," I said.
Dad gave me a reassuring smile. "Trust me, all those nerves will be gone as soon as you say I do. You will say I do, right? You're not planning on leaving him, because I need Popson in my life."
I chuckled. "Dad, of course I'm going to say I do. I will never, ever stop loving Grayson, no matter what."
"Good," Dad said. "Because all I wanted since the day you were born was for you to find the perfect husband. And you did."
I couldn't help but tear up. "Dad, stop making me cry."
Dad gave me a side hug. "Sorry, Poppy. I'm just so happy that I can walk my daughter down the aisle."
Before I knew it, it was my turn. As soon as I walked into the room, my eyes landed on Grayson and I was feeling even more emotional, especially because Ryder was standing beside him. I was about to get married to Grayson, the love of my life, the bad boy of high school, the boy I met in detention of all places. I was very thankful that Belle caused me to get detention that fateful day.
When I got to the altar, Dad lifted my veil and kissed my cheek before sitting down in his seat beside Mom, who had tears in her eyes. Darn it, they were going to make me cry even more.
Grayson took my hands in his and gave me the most heartwarming smile I had ever seen on him. Okay, I changed my mind. If anyone was going to make me cry, it was him.
The wedding officiant began and my heart began beating faster. In just a few moments, I was going to be Grayson's wife. I was going to be Poppy Prince.
As soon as Grayson started saying his vows, I began tearing up. Although he didn't admit it, he had such an amazing way with words.
So by the time it was my turn to say my vows, I was struggling a bit because I was choking on a few sobs.
And when Grayson said, "I do," his voice cracked a bit. His eyes were tearing up, too, and he had to wipe a few of them away before holding my hands again.
Words couldn't even describe how I felt when I said, "I do," my voice cracking as well.
"And now," the officiant said, "by the power vested in me by the state of Florida, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride."
Grayson gave me a smile, resting one of my hands on my cheek and using his thumb to wipe away some of my tears before pressing his lips on mine. Everyone clapped, some even cheered, before Grayson pulled away. "I love you so much, Flower," he said.
"I love you, too," I said.
Grayson picked up Ryder, who had a bright smile on his face. "Daddy, you're crying," Ryder said.
"That's because I really love your mom," Grayson said as he wiped the tears away.
"I love Mommy, too," Ryder said. "And I love you too, Daddy."

"Tony, can you let me go now?" I asked.
"No," he said. "I am going to continue hugging you for the whole reception because I don't want my little sister to grow up."
"I grew up a long time ago," I said. "You know, when I had Ryder?"
"I don't care," he said, still holding me in a hug. "You have to stay my little sister forever."
I sighed. "Yeah, well, I'd like to talk to Grayson, you know."
"You can talk to him later," he said. "He is your husband after all. He can wait."
"Tony...."
"Alright, alright," he said, pulling away from me. "I'm just so happy for you, Poppy. After everything you went through as a teenager, I'm happy Grayson was the one to pick up the pieces."
I smiled. "Yeah, me too. Hey, can I tell you something?" I kind of wanted to tell Tony first about the triplets since I was the first one he told when him and Charlie were expecting their daughter, Julia, who was now one years old. "But you can't tell anyone yet. Grayson and I are going to announce it later on."
"Sure," he said. "Wait a minute....Are you pregnant again?"
"Well...."
"How far along are you?" Tony asked with a smile.
"Fifteen weeks," I said. "Grayson's excited. Ryder too. After all, he will be an older brother of three."
Tony raised an eyebrow. "Three? Triplets? Holy crap, you two must have been busy."
"Tony!"
Tony gave me a side hug. "I love you, too, little sis. Good luck with having three more babies. Now, I'm pretty sure dinner is about to be served, so go sit down beside your husband at the head table."
"Actually, Ryder will be sitting between...."
"Just go, doorknob."
I rolled my eyes and gave my older brother a hug before sitting down at the head table where Ryder and Grayson were already sitting. And Grayson, being Grayson, leaned over and quickly kissed my cheek.
It wasn't long before dinner was served and everyone began eating. Elliot was sitting on the other side of me and noticed my empty wine glass. "Do you want me to pour you some wine?" she asked.
"Oh, no," I said. "I don't drink wine."
"Come on, it's your big day," she said.
"Elliot, really," I said. "I can't. I mean, I don't want to."
"You said you can't," she said. "There are very few reasons why someone can't and one of them is....Holy crap. You're...."
"Elliot," I said quickly since she was talking a bit too loud. "Don't say a thing, okay? We're going to announce it later."
Elliot's response was to pick up her napkin, crumple it in a ball, and throw it at Grayson. Grayson looked at Elliot. "What the hell was that for?" he asked.
"For not telling me Poppy's pregnant again," she said in a loud whisper. Luckily, nobody else heard.
"Poppy...."
"What?" I asked. "It slipped."
"Just like last time," Grayson pointed out.
"She asked if I wanted wine," I said. "What did you want me to do, drink it?"
"Well, no...."
He was cut off when my dad decided to make a toast. "I just wanted to thank everyone for coming today," he said. "I am so thankful that my daughter found such a wonderful man to love and cherish her and I am so proud of them for the amazing job they're doing at raising their handsome son. And I do hope they give me more Popson babies in the future." Everyone chuckled, all of them being used to my dad shipping basically everyone. He even started shipping Ellin shortly after he met Laughlin and Elliot, which was after they were already married.
"And I guess it's my turn," Grayson said, standing up for his seat. "I am so, so thankful to have found my Flower who turned my life around. I was in such a dark stage of my life, but then this beautiful girl came along and changed my life for the better. Not only did she give me her love, but also our son, who I love so much."
Ryder smiled. "I love you too, Daddy!"
Everyone gushed at that and I couldn't blame them. I mean, not to brag, but Ryder was such a cutie.
"And I'm also thankful that Ryder is going to be an older brother," Grayson said. "Because Poppy and I are expecting."
"Yes!" Dad announced immediately. "Another Popson baby!"
"Gene," Mom warned in a stern voice. Dad tended to get a little excited. His reaction to Tony and Charlie announcing that they were going to have a baby was hilarious.
"Well, not another baby," Grayson said. "There will actually be three more."
"So that means three more Popson babies?" Dad asked with a smile.
"Yeah," Grayson said. He was so used to my dad's behavior now. "And I honestly couldn't be more happy. Not only am I going to be a father to three more babies, but it's my very beautiful wife I am having them with. I love you, Flower."
"I love you, too, Grayson," I said before he leaned down and gave me a kiss.
I couldn't wait to start my life with him as my husband.
