I Alexi Killed him!

The Darkness kept dragging me into the abyss of the quagmire of memories and guilt; Guilty of killing him, he turned to me and kept pointing his finger at me accusingly, groaning in pain, “Alexi, why did you kill me? Why?”

Shaking my head, tears pouring down like waterfalls onto the ground and my nails dug into my arms, giving me the pain, I deserved.

“So sorry, I loved you. I did not know it was you. Please do not be dead, I am so sorry, please forgive me.” Screaming in emotional pain in the darkness.

People kept dying, and it was all my fault.

I could see the faces of so many pack members around the world that had died, I could see my mother’s face, I could see Nicolas’s mother’s face.

They were all dead and why?

Because of me, it was all my fault.

The Vampire King wanted me, and I should just have let him have me.

Death would be my friend. All the people I knew and loved were in pain or dead because of me.

Wisps of black smoke that could not be broken had engulfed my heart. I desperately wanted to escape the memories in the black void of nothingness, but I could not. It trapped me in my self-pity, in my dark entrapment.

The New Wolf King Alexander 2nd was busy trying to find out what happened to his sister Alexandria. She had been missing for a week now.

Alexander was worried about his sister and angry at her for going on a mission to kill the King of Vampires not letting Alexander know.

One of her warriors that went on the mission was the only warrior that survived as far as he knew. One warrior could hide in the trees out of the site when the Vampire King’s men came taking away bodies, one of them the Princess

Alexanders’ Sister

away.

Relaying what he saw, the warrior stated the princess was moving, but unconscious.

The last time he saw her, she was still alive. In response, the warrior related that the Vampire King might have known they were coming, and that they had deceived the warriors into believing it was the Vampire King. Why would his sister not come to him and tell him about her mission? Other than training, she had no actual battle experience.

Out of anger, fear, and worry, Alexander smashed his hand into the wall, creating a crater.

Ares – I have warriors searching for the Vampire Kings outside the grounds under the cover of an invisibility cloak with the help of our witches.

We have tried to use teleportation to enter the dungeons of the Vampire Kings castle, but the King has put up powerful wards since our last time entering his castle to save Jeremy.

Ares reached out to his grandmother. If anyone could be able to get into the Vampire Kings Castle it would be Cordelia, his grandmother.

Cordelia - My grandson Ares has asked me to go to my son's castle as life seems to fall apart and upended in the Werewolf Kingdom.

My granddaughter appears to be in the hands of King William. Almost every pack in the world has a dead Luna, and almost every pack's Alpha is insane.

Cordelia's husband was King before my son, so I'm bringing him with me to help Alexander the 2nd and Ares. We need to restore order to the Kingdom.

My son needed to be healed, and my granddaughter needed to be found. There is plenty of work to be done, and no time to do it.

My husband and I have been packing all morning. Alexi's pack currently does not have an Alpha, Luna, or Beta. In the interim, I will ask my husband to take care of Alexi's pack.

With all the deaths and heartache that our wolves are experiencing right now, my heart breaks. Having so much animosity among species, how did we get to where we are today?

She may have thought she had the element of surprise, but I am worried about the pups Alexi carries, I am not sure why she led her own mission with such a small group of warriors? The child has always been so headstrong.

Selene - I enter the nightmare in which Alexi is living; she needs to return to reality. She is carrying twin alpha pups and the magical wards she placed on the pups to keep them safe from harm will not last much longer, as Alexi’s blood is p’s bane.

In her imagination, I see Alexi crouched in a ball, rocking back and forth. She sees and talks to invisible characters that her mind has conjured up. Alexi apologizes over and over for the deaths of imaginary people. I have never seen Alexi this depressed before. I thought this girl didn't even understand the word depression, and Alexi always bounced right back. She never doubted her strength and potential for greatness. She was a shell of the Alexi I know.

"Alexi, you need to wake up from this!" I lifted her chin as I stood before her, crouching down in front of her. Thenn I said ferociously to Alexi, "Remember the twins?"?? Do you know you are pregnant? If you stay like this, they may die. They need their mother back, and they want to live. Would you like to ask Alexi, hoping she will wake up from this hell she has created for herself. Alexi looks up and stares into the void with blank expressions, not seeing me or anything else. I slapped Alexi, “WAKEUP!” I yelled at her.” She turned to me, her eyes becoming less void of emotions and acknowledging that I was there with her. “Alexi, it is I your aunt, the Moon Goddess. I need you to WAKEUP! Your pups need you; your pack needs you; you need to quit having this self-pity and WAKEUP!” Alexi turned her face to look at me and the tears started streaming down her cheeks, drenching them in her sorrow.

Alexi – I was in my little hell with my family and pack members yelling at me for their murders. It brought me out of the hell that I deserved for so many reasons to be in. It was Aunt Selene, the Moon Goddess. She had just slapped me, and she was yelling at me. Why doesn’t she just let me rot in here? Then I remembered her mentioning my pups. I forgot about my pups. How could I forget about my pups?

Selene- “Good, I have got your attention, Alexi. You have been in this darkness for over a week. The magical ward you put on the pups will not last much longer. Then they will die from your blood. The Kings' men shot you with an arrow coated heavily with wolfsbane. I am going to clean your blood. The other Gods will not be so happy with me, as I am supposed not to interfere, but you are my blood relative, and King William has hurt you. I will not sit and see you destroy yourself and the pups.”

Alexi – “I am a failure, Auntie Selene. I am not strong, and I didn’t kill William. If I had turned myself in to King William and let him have me, then maybe all these deaths would not have occurred. In my youth, I always won, but now I am losing this battle. I am a failure and I have let everyone down.””

Selene – “B.S. It was only to prevent you from fulfilling the prophecy and using your magic for his own vengeful ambitions that King William wanted to keep you from fulfilling the prophecy. Since wolves murdered his twin sister, William has been killing wolves in vengeance. His goal is to eliminate all wolf species, so my dear, you have nothing to do with the deaths. My next step is to clean your blood.”

Alexi - Selene closes her eyes and speaks softly while her hands scan my body, emitting a warm blue light. My body temperature is rising, as if it has covered me in a fluffy blanket after a snowstorm that froze my bones.

Selene looks at Alexi, “You are healed now. Alexi, I'm going to wake you up. You were sleeping on a cot in the King's dungeon when I found you. Now you must figure out a way out on your own. Wake up now!”

Selene disappears into thin air, and I see flickers of light in a damp, smelly environment. They cuffed my hands to the bed so that I wouldn't run away. On a hot day in the desert, I smell like an outhouse. As I look around, I see sconces on the wall with old-fashioned lights. It is dimly lit to create the hopeless atmosphere a dungeon creates, creating feelings and desires that death will kiss you and take you away from here, like the stolen kiss of a lover.

I hear some noise and I squint my eyes, looking through the darkness, - and I see an old friend. Okay, she is not a friend at all. It is Samantha carrying a silver knife as her eyes look cold and dangerous. I could tell she had no love for me, and it is clear what her intent is, and that is to end my life.
