The God of Spheria named Gaviel with a gift of prophecy predicted that, "A bond of two different races shall save us from peril." When the Wizardus heard of the prophecy, they produced a poison that killed Gaviel in one drink. They thought it would be enough to stop the prophecy but they were wrong.

Two babies were born from Dragonia and Spheria and that made Mythos consorted with the Wizardus and a cursed serpent is put to life. It's a ten feet long snake with red glowing eyes. Fangs are sharp like sphere.

"I'm giving you the power to kill the two Vortans in the prophecy!" the God of Mythonia declared.

"No one shall unite the kingdoms. War will prevail in Vortaxia!" the Goddess of Wizarnia announced.

5 years later

"Arghhh!" she groans. Her hand is holding my arm tightly and I can feel her nails pressing against my skin. Her pain gives an uncomfortable stinging in my chest but my heart is filled with happiness.

I smiled as soon as I saw our baby. The room became quiet and my wife's heavy breathing filled the four corners of the room. "It's a beautiful girl," Aluncina told us and smiled. I happily glanced at my wife. She gave me an exhausting smile and looked at Aluncina. "Can I hold her?" Mary asked and Aluncina nodded.

She carefully laid our baby next to my wife and I couldn't helped myself but smile.

They're just beautiful.

I kissed her forehead as a tear fell from her eyes. My heart is filled with so much happiness. "She's just like you," I said and she chuckled. "She got your eyes." Her smile became wider.

"What do we name her?" she sweetly asked while looking at my heiress.

A wide smile formed in my lips.

"Golden," I answered. My wife looked at me. Her green eyes are sparkling with joy.

"That's a beautiful name," she agreed. I gave both of them a kiss and went out to tell everyone the good news. The Chosens gathered and congratulated me. The news reaches the Gods and Hlaford visited our humble home to bless my child.

"You're not wrong, Silver. She's just like Mary," he said. His pet, eagle, is sitting comfortably on his shoulder.

My angel is sleeping peacefully on her little bed. A smile formed on my lips as my wife wrapped her arms around me. I glanced at Hlaford and he was still looking at my child.

He walked silently to my child and blessed her. He smiles as he put his palm on Golden's forehead.

It must have been hard for him to take his eyes off my beautiful child. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Thank you Gaviel.

My eyebrows furrowed when Hlaford's smile faded. He immediately removed his hand from my daughter. He's now looking at my child with an astounded expression. Is there something wrong?

I walked towards my daughter's crib and hold her. "What's wrong?" I asked him. His face was still in shocked and it was like as if he saw something different to Golden. I tried my best to hide my offended expression for he is the God of Spheria but my eyes couldn't hide my emotion.

"I'm sorry," he apologized.

I glanced at Mary and she looks worried. "Tell us Hlaford. Is there something wrong with our daughter?" she asked. Hlaford's long white beard sways as he turn to looked at my worried wife.

There was a moment of silence before he opened his mouth to speak. "Your child is one of the Vortans mentioned on Gaviel's prophecy," he muttered.

My wife gasped in horror and I thought my heart just stopped from beating. My mind became blank and all I could hear was what Hlaford said. This can't be true.

"That's not true," I told him angrily. My loud voice wakes my child and Aluncina took her from me. I told Aluncina to give us privacy and she obeyed.

Golden can't be the one in the prophecy.

She's just a child! It's too dangerous for her.

"I know it's hard but we can't change her fate," Hlaford said. My eyebrows met. Then we will avoid it. I will not risk my daughter's life for that prophecy.

"No. We can't let that happen. That prophecy will kill my child," I disagreed. He released a deep sigh. Mary is sobbing in the corner of the room and I tried to comfort her. "Don't tell anyone about this. I'm begging you. I don't want to put my daughter's life in danger," I begged to him.

Hlaford's eyes were hesitant. Why does it have to be out daughter? "We can't stop her fate," he said. My eyes watered.

"We promised to bring her back when she's old enough. Just not now. She's too young for that responsibility," Mary said. I looked at her with wide eyes. How could she say that? She smiled weakly and hold my hand.

"We can't change her faith, Silver. We have no choice but to accept it," she mumbled. She sobbed and holds my face. "All we can do now is prepare her from the responsibility she has," she forced a smile. No...

"I'll remember that. Don't worry. I will take care of her," Hlaford promised.

As soon as he vanished in the room, I grabbed my wife's shoulder and faced her. "We'll leave," I said. I knew that she would disagree but I told her that Golden is not safe in Spheria. "We'll find a safe place," I assured her. We packed our things and told Aluncina about the plan.

I chant the forbidden spell to open the portal in the human world. I learned this from my great grandfather and he told me that I can only summon the portal once. I told Mary to enter first because she has Golden and she did. I was about to enter the portal when I heard Aluncina's scream. "Ahhhhh!" she yelled.

I immediately went downstairs and my eyes widened when I saw a black serpent with red eyes staring directly at me. Aluncina is floating in the air and is being strangled to death by the snake. "Arusia!" I yelled and waved my hand towards the serpent. It flew all the way from the bookshelves and I commanded the air to bring Aluncina upstairs.

The serpent crawled fast and I waved my hand to stopped it but it was too late. The serpent bashed me and I landed on the floor harshly. "Silver!" a female voice screamed. My eyes grew big when I recognized the voice. What is she still doing here! I thought she entered the portal already.

I screamed in pain when the serpent bit my torso. I can feel its fangs pricking through my flesh. He dropped me on the floor and I groaned in pain. The serpent turned its back at me and I saw my wife twined the snake using the roots of our potted plants. I tried to stand up. I levitated the grand piano with my hand and throw it to the serpent and it smashed its head. The snake lost its consciousness and Mary ran towards me.

"What are you still doing here! The portal will closed," I yelled. She shaked her head and tried to stand me up but she failed.

"I'm not leaving you her--Argh!" Her eyes widened and blood started coming out of her mouth. I froze in place.

No...

I waved my hand. "Arusia!" I strangled the serpent with all my strength but it's too strong. Tears keeps falling from my eyes as Mary's head fell on my shoulder. I tried my best to hold her wound but I don't have any capability to do so. My hand is covered with blood and I could see the piece of wood that pierced her back.

"Y-You can never save her," the serpent said. My vision darkens and I swung my arm to the air which made the snake choked harder. "G-Golden is safe. We should p-petrify him," Mary mumbled weakly and gave me her crystal.

"No..." I shook my head. If I take that crystal she will die. "T-Take it before it's too late," she said. I don't want to lose her. I can't take that. "You're hurt. W-We're hurt. We don't have time," she said. The light of her crystal faded which means she's dying and it can now only do half of its capability.

Even if I don't want to, I collided my crystal to hers and a bright ball of Petrificus is made. I throw it to the serpent and he slowly turned into a stone.

I fell on the cold floor and Mary's body covered mine. A tear fell from her eyes and landed on my cheek. "I-I love yous" she whispered.

"I-I love you too."
