Lian POV

The sky was grey, like it's about to rain. The gust of the wind was getting stronger. I closed my eyes and lifted my face, wishing everything was a dream.

Then suddenly I felt rain drops hit my face. I opened my eyes and stared at the gravestone infront of me.

I still couldn't believe that my mother was gone. Leaving me alone. I was crying hard. My eyes were puffy, reddish and sore.

" Hahh..." I jolted getting up from my sleep, my breath going uneven. Again I had nightmare.

Since my mom's death, I couldn't sleep peacefully from then. All memory flashing in my mind giving me life threatening pain in my head.

What time is it????

I looked at my clock and it was 8 am! I had to start my chores way more early but now I'm all late! I got hurriedly and freshened up.

I wore my hoddie and ran towards the mansion as quickly as possible. As I entered there I witnessed more hustle and bustle in the hall. Many workers of mansion moving here and there hurriedly.

What's going on???

I tried to ask a servant but I flinched when fuming Shina stood in front of my field of vision.

" Where were you f***ing piece of shit!" She barked at me and I gripped my dress in fear lowering my head not even daring to utter a word.

" What a useless b*tch you are, you are good at ruining other's mood and nothing else!" Shina scoffed looking at me as if I was of no worth.

" Anyway... A special guest is arriving here in our mansion. I want you to clean all the corners of the hall and prepare variety of dishes as early as possible. "

" He's coming here to stay here for some days. If you make any mistake...I swear nobody will be worst than me. Do you understand!? "

" Yes mother...." I bowed her nervously not eye contacting her.

" And first thing you filthy animal DON'T you ever DARE call me mother in front of Dylan Wang do you understand? "  Shina said angrily.

" Yes mo.. ma'am.." I bowed her and she scowled and started walking away.

Who is he..?

He's going to stay for some days????

" Mom! Dylan Wang will be arriving in few hours in few hours and my black dress is not ready yet!! What the hell is going on here!!" Emily yelled out bursting my ears.

She was my elder sister, meant to say step sister. My father was a rich landlord of Fung Hang village, well he was the richest in this village actually.

He had many businesses in towns of Hong Kong, but we stayed in our land because of some emotional reasons.

After few years of my mother's death my dad fell in love with Shina and had married her. She was a widow with a child Emily before my dad was going to marry her.

" Lian...my child....your father is thinking of marrying again. That woman is very kind and she loves your father unconditionally... your father loves her too....will you allow your father to achieve happiness?" 

I sighed cleaning the floor, my heart breaking into pieces, tears threatening to fall against my will.

" Yes! Anything for papa!!! I love you so much papa!" I chirped and hugged my father and he chuckled cuddling me.

" I love you too my lovely child....you know what's else exciting...soon to be mama Shina has a daughter too. You are going to have a elder sister Lian.."

" Elder sister? Yay I'm so excited papa!" I hugged my father chirping excitingly. 

I was happy for my dad, as he found happiness and was excited when I was a kid that I was going to have a happy family again....but lately realised it was all curse to me.

My life became hell day by day after Shina's true colors started to show off. Every new mother will love you at the start but then the money and assets changes everything.

She got to know I was going to inherit more shares and property of my biological father than Emily, that is where it went wrong... it became unbearable for her.

She used all possible despicable tricks and my father became puppet of her and I lost everything in my life. She snatched everything to my room to my happiness.

I wish I could run away from this house and live somewhere far away from away, but it wasn't easily as it sounded.

I did try running when I was 16...But....things didn't go according to my plan.

When I went out of the town once, it was a horrible experience. The people around were not friendly. I asked for job and house to live but they said I must be atleast 18 to qualify.

Some men out there were seeing me with lust, they knew I was all alone and I ran away from my home. I somehow escaped from their sight.

I had no food, few money, it was not enough to survive. I regretted taking the decision. The worst part was....... my father came to know. He sent men to search for me.

They did find me and I was punished in the worst way. I tremble even now remembering it. From that experience I got to know I cannot escape from them. I cannot live without them. I was all weak.

I prepared all type of dishes with the help of more maids and I started cleaning the floor and then suddenly dad entered the hall. Shina smiled and offered him coffee.
