Rain splatters wildly against the high, glass windows of the cafeteria which is brimming with students desperate to avoid getting their belongings wet. The aroma of freshly made food drowned with the noise the students made.

The place is unbelievably noisy today, making my reading a complete mess as I couldn't focus on reading my book . I shut the book against the wooden cafeteria table and prepared to start to have a nice lunch with my friends.

Suddenly, a huge commotion was made at the end of the cafeteria that made all the students rush to check what was going on, A large number of students ran towards the place, leaving me wondering what was going on exactly.

"Come on, let's go check it, we don't surely want to be left out from whatever is going on, do we?" Jane said and stood up from the chair, adjusting her pleated skirt.

I stood up and picked my book with me, waiting for Taylor who was covering her lunch properly. We walked towards the crowded space and maneuvered our way to the front, my eyes widen slightly on seeing what was happening.

"That's Louise?" I whispered, leaning closer to Jane who merely nodded, still watching what was happening.

"P-Please, L-leave me alone." Lousie's voice came out unsteady, her hands were shaking as she placed her small palms against each other, pleading quietly at the boy whose eyes glinted with an unfamiliar gaze. He grabbed the nape of her neck roughly, Louise groaned in pain as tears fell freely from her eyes

"I asked you for something and you have the effrontery, the guts, the audacity, the impudence to tell me, you can't do it?" Sebastian barked to her face, his hand wrapping her hair tightly, he pulled the hair roughly that she thought her scalp would be gone along with the hair. Sebastian jerked her backward, making the girl stumble and fall on her butt cheeks. He walked closer to her with an evil smirk on his face, she moved back in fear of what he was going to do with her.

I couldn't watch the injustice being done, I couldn't stand the way the girl cowered away in fear nor could I bear to watch the boy walk closer to her as the second passes, he looked like a predator that finally found its prey.

"What do you think you're doing?' I yelled and stepped out of the crowd, I was burning with anger from watching him

"Amelia! stop." Jane tells me but I shook my head

"Is this how we would all watch him constantly bully her till she slowly becomes a shell of herself? How long until he gets tired of her and picks one of us to become his next target? will we all stay silent then?" I yelled, attracting Sebastian's eyes.

He looked at me with a distaste scowl on his face, turning fully, and walked closer to me "Who the fuck do you think you are? How dare you come in front of me and spew this trash? do you really not know who you should talk to? do you want to get beaten like her or are you just plain dumb? such impudence" He spat out.

Series of laughter followed after his comment, I shake my head not believing the kind of humans were enrolled in this school

"I don't care who you are, how can you possibly treat a human in this manner for crying out loud? you constantly ridicule and embarrass her like she worth nothing. I don't care if you are the president's son but if you treat a girl like this then you are a nobody." I snapped and rushed to Louise who was sobbing really hard on the floor.

I saw Sebastian walk towards me, his face was red with anger as he glared hard at me, he bent slowly and grabbed my hand, pulling me up forcefully. "You like big talks, don't you?" He asked, his nail digging deeper into my open flesh.

I Jerked my hand free and looked into his eyes, "I am not like Louise, I will stand up and face you squarely, Sebastian Maurice." I said, staring deep into his eyes, I could see the anger vibrating off him.

"You!" He starts but stops on hearing the principal's voice "What is going on here?" The man's voice boomed through the cafeteria, making the students flee away. The man walked forward with a confused look on his face as he walked towards them

"What is happening here?"

Sebastian glared at me before walking away with his gang members, Mr. Cole looked back and forth between us two 'Ms. Philip?' He says while I helped Louise stand up.

"Nothing happened here sir, we were all just talking," I responded

"Thank you," Louise whispered to me as she tried to stand on her two legs, I could tell that Mr. Cole was not convinced with what I just said but that Is what I can say.

I looked around and saw Taylor and Jane standing awkwardly and whispering to themselves.

"Can you walk?" I asked Louise who merely nodded so I walked toward my friends who simply shook their heads to tell me they were not in support of what I just did.

We all walked back to our table and sat down, although none of us were willing to talk because of what just happened

"Why did you do that? What was the need to behave so righteous?" Taylor voiced out.

I looked at her surprised, Why did I behave so righteous? I couldn't believe what she was saying at this point. "What?" I say baffled and she merely scoffed.

"Look, Amelia, I-we understand that you couldn't contain your anger on seeing him behave like that with Louise but that was not the right way to go about it, at all," Jane said this time around.

I couldn't believe what exactly I was hearing from my friends, were they actually supporting Sebastian? After everything that he did to Louise? I could not sit down and listen to more nonsense. I stood up and picked my novel, walking out of the cafeteria without speaking.

How was it possible that they saw me as the bad guy but not Sebastian? How? My head couldn't phantom it so I just kept walking.

"Amelia! Amy?! I heard Jane yell behind me so I stopped, turning to look at her.

"What?"

"Come on, Amelia. You are misunderstanding what I am saying"

"What we are saying." Taylor interjected

"Oh really now? I saved a girl from getting bullied, I helped her while you both stood there and watch me with condemning eyes, and what did you say? you said that I was behaving so righteous all because I wanted that girl to stop getting bullied? Is that right?" I say.

Jane sighed, removing the blond locks that fell into her eyes "No Amelia, we are only concerned for you, we are concerned for us. Sebastian is known to be a big bad bully all because his father has some high and important ranking in the town, he gets away with everything he does and it seems everyone is just blind to that fact, You saved Louise from getting bullied and you also embarrassed him in front of all those students in the cafeteria, what are you going to do when he comes for us? uh! what will you do when you become his next target because I am sure as hell he won't be leaving you alone." Jane tells me, her chest heaving up and down heavily.

"Jane is right and not only is he going to target you but he is going to target us too when he finds out that we are your friends they know he isn't going to leave us alone. I hope you now realize the gravity of what you just did."

I watched as Jane and Taylor walked away, leaving me standing in the hallway wondering if I just made the biggest mistake of my life by helping Louise. I had no idea what to think, was I right in helping Louise, or did I make a mistake in helping her?
