... The melody of my despair wrote the lyrics with your name...
I stood at the altar, knowing what was about to happen but still a smile was plastered upon my lips. My heart flutters in happiness because that’s the day I am going to marry the love of my life, Lydia. She is my everything and now I want to spend my life with her.
I cannot explain my content, a feeble emotion of love and benediction filled me up. My blue eyes glistened in excitement to espy the upcoming moment. I am looking forward to it.
I ran my hand in my black hair and turned to look at my Best friend Christian Elvis, looked at me with a smirk and showed me a thumbs up.
I chuckled and turned away, waiting for my bride to come and end this tormenting wait of mine. As I was waiting, one of my men came to me,
“Mr Moretti.” He called me. A faint smirk crept upon my lips as I turned to look at him. He whispered something in my ears as my eyes widened in horror.
My heart clenched and broke to pieces. My lips began to quiver as I lost my strength. It hurt me more than I could have anticipated. Breaking apart, I ran to the dressing of Lydia and saw her corpse lying there.
My world comes to a crash. I lost my ability to think. I was devastated to see the sight before me.
My love fell apart that day…

I woke with a loud gasp, I began to pant because of my nightmare. Just when I was about to start a good day this horrible nightmare ruined it. I sighed and ruffled my hair and got out of my bed. I don’t want anything to destroy my day. I have to keep my calm and don’t worry about things much.
I stood under the shower as the cold droplets of it drenched me. I tried to let out the horrendous sight to get out of my mind so that a lull can take over. I have never been that nervous in my life before. But, I know how to wrap things up. I just have to do what Kathrine told me.
“Look, The relationship aroused from hate is much stronger than others. Its strength would be greater than anything else.”
I took a deep breath and got out of the shower. It doesn't suit the Head of Mafia leader to act afraid. I am someone people's souls should tremble to hear but I have to keep my identity a secret.
From the outside, I am a simple businessman but the reality is my whole childhood started and ended in the dark world. After countless struggles and hardships I have gained this position.
I am like the puppet master of the Mafia leaders, their strings are in my hand and there was actually a point in my life where I wanted to stop and let it go but since when I was bestowed with love? It’s just a short-lived passion,
It’s simple for me. I get what I want.
I got ready and went to breakfast. It’s a habit of mine to hear about work in the morning while having breakfast- I don’t know, just to spoil my mood.
“Sir, That investigator James found out about the morning shipments.”
”Shipments of what?” I said, taking a sip of my coffee.
“Guns, Sir. They were trading under your name. If he found out exactly what you were exporting, it would be fatal.” I stopped when I heard it. I cursed under my breath and stood up. My temper is something I cannot control. It just got the best of me.
“You should have told me this before, Idiot!” I yelled. I took my phone and left. I never fail to destroy my day but that’s the only way for me to get out of that loneliness inside me. I grit my teeth and went to the port and saw Christian talking to the officer. I let out a sigh of relief knowing he got my back. He may have left the Mafia world but always been there for me.
I got out and walked to him,
“Hey, dude, What happened?” I asked, being oblivious as I didn’t know what happened.
“Nothing, Mr Moretti, just a survey.” James said. I gave him my mocking smile and asked.
“Well, enjoy yourself Officer.” He narrowed his eyes at me and challenged, “Just you wait, Mr Tyler Moretti. It will all end soon.”
“For you.” I still said with my smile and he left. After he left, I scoffed and shook my head.
“You should go and enjoy your wedding. It’s the first day.” I teased. He rolled his eyes off and remained silent.
“I am leaving for work. Good Luck.” Christian said and left. After he left I sighed and called the incharge of the shipment,
“George!” He came and I looked at him in irk, “How did the information get out?” I asked direly. “I-I don’t M-Mr Moretti.” He said, afraid. The way he speak it’s clear he would dare to betray me. “I want you to find this person in a week or else you will pay for his deed.” I said threateningly. “Y-Yes, Sir.”
I then took a look around and decided to give a ‘warm gift’ to Officer Jame so that the low level guy could know his place and of course.
I certainly didn’t make him transfer to another city on purpose so that he won’t sniff at my work like a dog he is.
And after that tiresome and monotonous day, I decided to have a coffee and lunch in a quiet place to calm my mind.
I went to the Amber one hotel as the waitress asked, “What would you like to have, Sir?” ‘You.’
That’s what I wanted to say. I mean she was cute and if we met in a bar, I would love to spend my night with her.
“Hmm.. A cold coffee.” I said and began to use my phone. Do not pay attention. She left and came with a cold coffee. My heart began to beat fast, almost about to burst from my chest.
My hand turned cold. I swallowed the lump in my throat. My gaze was fixed on my phone, still on looking up at Cand- I mean that girl.
“Here you go, Sir.” She said and moved away. I inhaled deeply and took a sip of my coffee and spit it out,
“What the hell is this?!” I asked, agitated.
“Is something wrong, Sir?” She asked innocently.
“I asked for a cold coffee, not cold water. What the hell is this?”
“I apologize, Sir. I will get you another one.”
“It’s gonna taste the same, woman!” I yelled.
“Don’t yell at me, I am not the one who made it.” She said, shrugging her shoulders.
“What did you say?” I growled.
“What you heard, Sir.” She hissed.
“Watch your mouth.” I hissed back.
“What? I am not the chef?” She said,
“What happened?” The voice of the manager came. “Teach your workers some manners.” I said angrily.
“What did you do this time, Candice?” The old guy asked sternly. “Sir, I just served him his order.”
”And talk rudely.” I added. She gasped, “You yelled at me first!”
“Enough Candice. This is the third complaint we have received from you. We cannot tolerate this kind of behavior. You are dismissed.” The Manager said. The girl, Candice’s eyes went wide when she heard it.
“No, No, No, Sir. Please, I am sorry.” She begged.
“Only if our guest forgives you.” The manager said. Tears brimmed in her eyes as she looked at me pleading.
“I am so sorry, Sir. Please forgive me.” She said, at the verge of crying. I took my phone and glasses from the table. I wore my glasses and unbuttoned my coat as a feeble smirk crept upon my lips and I left saying, “You deserve this.”
And that’s how everything started…
