Blake looked at Margot coldly with disdain.
"Margot." Amelie Howard bit her lip and looked at her with bright eyes. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it. I love Blake too much, so..."
"Shut up." Margot's voice was hoarse. She was furious. She looked at Blake. "My beloved husband and my trusted best friend. Sharing a hotel room together, on my birthday. You two are f*cking assholes."
"Watch your tone." Blake grabbed her hand. He almost crushed it with his strength. "Margot, do you really think I loved you? Let me tell you, I have always loved Amelie. Do you really think I would have married you if it weren't for your rich family?"
Margot's eyes widened in shock. The pain in her heart was far greater than the pain coming from her wrist. "So... you married me to satisfy your vanity?"
Blake shook off her hand. His strength caused Margot to take a few steps back. He sneered. "Now that the Pearce family has been defeated, I don't mind telling you the truth." He held Amelie beside him and kissed her. "Amelie is pregnant with my child. I want to marry her, so I asked you to come today. I want you to see who I really love."
Hearing that Amelie was pregnant, Margot felt herself turn numb from the pain.
Amelie was pregnant with his child. What about her? She was about to give birth soon.
Margot looked up and sneered. "I see it now. Are we going to divorce after this?"
Blake frowned. Margot always had a straightforward personality. Whenever she was unhappy, she would be unable to control her temper.
He wanted her to be angry so that she would have a miscarriage. Even if she didn't have a miscarriage, with her temper, she would definitely act out, increasing the chances of a miscarriage.
However, he felt slightly uncomfortable at the thought of Margot going through an abortion.
After all, she was carrying his child. He was reluctant to let go of the child.
Blake believed that was the reason for his discomfort.
Seeing that Blake didn't speak for a long time, a trace of cruelty flashed before Amelie's eyes.
Blake was hers. No one could take him away from her.
She raised her head and looked at Blake pitifully. "Blake, don't say that. After all, I hurt Margot. I'll go and apologize to her. She will understand." Then, she stood up and walked toward Margot. Her eyes immediately became arrogant and provocative, but what she said was the opposite. "Margot, don't be angry. You are pregnant now. If you are angry, it will affect the child."
"Isn't this what you want?" Margot's eyes were locked on Blake. "You brought me here to anger me so that I can have a miscarriage. Then, you two can get legally married and have children."
Blake suddenly looked at her. He didn't expect Margot to be so clever. She had always been a little brainless.
"Margot, it's not like that. I..."
Margot raised her hand and slapped Amelie.
"What are you doing?" Blake held Amelie in his arms. The corner of her mouth was bleeding slightly from the slap. Distressed, Blake wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth.
Amelie looked at Blake with teary eyes and said gently, "Don't be angry, Blake. It's my fault. Don't blame Margot."
"She hit you, yet you're standing up for her. Be good and stay quiet. I'll put some medicine on you later."
"Alright!"
Blake looked at Margot fiercely. "Margot, how dare you! If you hit Amelie again, I will make your mother drop dead."
Margot was shocked. Then she laughed in a low voice. Her laughter was shrill and psychotic. "After knowing you, my life worsened day by day. You bought my company. My father was killed in a car crash. Then, I married you, and my mother's health worsened. Did you do all of that?"
"Yes." Blake smiled in triumph. "It's all your fault. If you hadn't insisted on marrying me, I wouldn't have had such opportunities."
Thinking of the defeated Pearce family, her dead father, and her only family member, her mother, who was hospitalized due to poor health, Margot's eyes suddenly turned red. She glared at Blake.
"Blake, I was blind to fall in love with such a cruel man like you. This child." Margot touched her belly. She felt that the baby was also touching her hand. She stubbornly collected her tears. "As you wish, I will not give birth to it. I, Margot Pearce, will not give birth to such a cold-blooded child. From now on, I, Margot Pierce, and you, Blake Sutton, will have nothing to do with each other."
"Yes." Blake narrowed his eyes at Margot coldly. "If your parents hadn't killed my parents, I wouldn't have lost them when I was ten. We were destined to be enemies."
