Sofia carefully observed the villa in front of her three times, ensuring it was vacant.
She stood by her suitcase, scratching her head with one hand and wearing a worried and regretful expression wondering when the owner could return.
She no longer wanted to sell this house; she wanted to reclaim it.
With that in mind, she stood up again and approached the window, peering into the interior.
Just then, a deep, warm male voice sounded from behind her.
It was slightly husky and slowly enveloped Sofia.
"Excuse me... who are you looking for?"
Startled by the sudden voice, Sofia straightened and turned around, only to see a tall figure dressed in formal attire standing before her.
The man stood against the light, the silver moonlight gently casting down on his elegant and handsome face, momentarily stupefying Sofia.
His voice was somewhat hurried as if he was trying to suppress something.
After a moment, Sofia smiled, her voice sweet,
"You're the current owner of this house, right?
My name is Sofia, I am… the former house owner.
I came here today to see you... Ah… What's wrong?"
Sofia hadn’t finished speaking when the man suddenly staggered, nearly collapsing promptly.
She quickly reached out to steady him:
“Are you okay?”
The unfamiliar masculine scent enveloped Sofia's breath.
The man had a faint pleasant scent, clouded by the smell of alcohol.
She frowned slightly.
In the soft moonlight, she finally got a good look at the man's face.
He had a robust, Doric face; sharp-eyed; the arcs of his nose and lips were tender and soft.
However, he looked pale, with an unusual flush on his cheeks.
His brow was drenched in sweat and he seemed very uncomfortable.
"I'll help you get inside."
With this, she put her arm around his shoulder.
The moment the man came into contact with her skin, he abruptly withdrew his hands as if burned, refusing her help with a grumble. "No need to bother, I'm good. You should leave."
"Hey, don't be impolite. It’s just a lift of my hand."
Sofia shrugged, grabbing his arm and insisting on supporting him.
The man tried to resist, but his voice was weak,
"I can... you..."
"You are making it look as if I am kidnapping you, it’s no bother at all!"
Sofia repeatedly emphasized, but the man's condition kept worsening.
His hands trembled, and his handsome eyebrows furrowed tightly.
Seeing his discomfort, Sofia felt a surge of helplessness and hastened to get him to the sofa.
"Should I call an ambulance for you?"
As she spoke, she took out her mobile phone, only to have it abruptly taken away by the man.
Sofia paused at this sudden act, the man seemed to realize his abruptness and apologized while suppressing his discomfort.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to... I... I'm fine, you can go."
"You call this 'being fine'?"
Sofia took a look at his strained face, his expression filled with distress,
his handsome face had turned from tightly suppressing his pain into a flushed red.
At this moment, he appeared just like a critically injured beast, the comparison made to a beast only because she saw in his eyes a longing for her, just like a predator eyeing its prey.
Suddenly, she could feel a peculiar sensation surge up from the depths of her heart.
Sofia inexplicably came up with the urge to retreat, not knowing why she suddenly began to feel uneasy.
Just as she was preparing to turn around and leave, he suddenly reached out and grabbed her hand.
His intense breathing was spat onto Sofia's face, somewhat hot, and before Sofia had time to respond, she found herself being dragged into his arms.
The next second, the world around her spun and she was thrown onto the sofa, his hands on either side of her, his lips against her neck.
"Ah... Let me go! You pervert! Get away!"
Sofia suddenly realized what the man intended to do, suddenly screamed with fury, while vehemently resisting and yelled harshly.
The man seemed utterly out of control, Sofia's fragrance along with her soft body constantly attracted him, making him incredibly addicted. All his actions seemed unconscious.
Sofia's intense struggle made him regain some of his sanity.
When he realized what he had done to Sofia, he strenuously controlled himself, trying to force some measure of relaxation,
"I'm sor..."
Before he could finish his apology, Sofia kicked him in his chest.
She shrank back into a corner of the couch, her face steeped in fear,
"Don't come any closer,
if you dare touch a strand of my hair, you will regret it!"
she was huffing heavily.
The man made a muffled sound, as if trying to clear his head with a heavy punch to his forehead.
His self-inflicting actions startled Sofia again, glancing around the room, she hadn't even gotten up when she heard him whisper harshly,
"I told you to leave, now!"
Sofia almost lost her footing, she absolutely couldn’t figure out what the unstable man was thinking, the one moment being aggressive toward her then the next asking her to leave.
However, she didn't have the energy to think about why he was behaving like this--she was looking at the door behind him, and braved herself to run in that direction.
Unexpectedly, she again brushed past him and he once again grabbed her leg.
"Let me go, let me go, pervert, beast!"
Sofia instinctively flailed her feet, furiously struggling, fleeing out the room crawling and rolling, her distant screaming and cursing echoing in the air
"Die, pervert!"
The man felt as if his whole body was being burned, a tide of desire was surging through his body…
Leaving the house, Sofia was both scared and angry,
the further she got away, the more her anger surpassed her fear,
she felt exasperated as she violently kicked the stones by the roadside.
Turns out, less than a month after selling her house, it turned into a haven for a pervert.
Thinking of this, Sofia felt so regretful she had the urge to squeeze into a hole in the rocks and kill herself.
All the built-up resentment erupted at once.
If it weren't for that despicable ex-boyfriend, how could she impulsively have sold off her properties, which then got into the hands of such a freak?
Thinking of the true culprits behind the event,
Sofia smashed a fist into the grass, her face full of indignation.
Then she remembered her suitcase which she'd left in the garden of the villa.
Her eyes popped open and she nearly choked on her breath.
All her possessions were in that suitcase, including her computer, bank cards, identity card, and more.
If she wants to reclaim them, wouldn't she has to go back?
Remembering the scene just now, she shook her head vigorously.
Subconsciously, she reached into her pocket for her phone to come up with a plan. But then she recalled, her phone was also with the freak!
Instantly, her body went stiff.
"Ahhh."
She clutched her head, a feeling of despair rising up.
No matter what, she definitely couldn't go back now.
After all, it had taken her a lot to escape from the freak's grip.
With no other options, she decided to find a shady motel, where she could check in without an ID.
The next day, Sofia found a relatively large law firm in Vera City.
She wanted to go in to inquire about property-related information and somehow bring someone to her house to retrieve her luggage.
Only then would she be a bit safer.
However, as she entered the law office and waited for the lawyer, she saw a super familiar figure.
Instantly, her face tightened, and she subconsciously started to follow.
At a corner, she called out to the woman in a cold voice: "Anna."
