Another day, just the same old, same old.

I tapped my alarm clock twice to shut off the loud noise ringing through my ears as I managed to stand up and go to the bathroom.

Changing from one suit to another to look as professional as any other would at work.

Giving me less than excellence in your attire and work skills will be frowned upon and result in you being fired.

Those blood sucking leeches can't do anything right which is why I was promoted to CEO of the company and not them.

They are below me, they work for me, they have no lives when it comes to putting your all in their jobs and if anyone were to suggest anything on,

family time or you wanted to take a sick day when you're obviously not that sick.

They might as well hit the unemployment office because I don't have the time nor day to discuss something I already have been doing for the past 9 years of my working for this company.

I eventually get out of my penthouse building and walk towards my favorite coffee shop nearby.

Their coffee is adequate for my needs which is why I haven't provoked their business into bankruptcy yet,

though I have been trying to buy their shop for a while and so far the owner is giving me hell.

He's an old man giving me this story about how his dad used to work here and how it's been in the family for generations, crap. But I plan to wear him down someday.

I don't take no for an answer and for the owner to turn me down of all people should make me angry but really I'm intrigued to see how this plays out. I just know for sure that one of us will have to cave in and that person won't be me.

I pull out my phone as I'm waiting in line and I'm not surprised to see the many text messages pop up on my screen.

One's from Lenny, my assistant who should be making sure everything's alright at the office until my arrival but this text message says otherwise.

SOS! Hurry back, your father is waiting in your office.

I type back with such a fast pace that my phone slips out of my hands and falls on the floor, but as I was about to grab it someone else does.

" Here you go, sir. By the way, it's your turn in line if your ordering anything." I look up and see this sweet angel staring back at me.

Eyes of green neon lights, brown long hair with blond highlights in them, full luscious lips calling out my name.

Get it together Alex.

I take the phone out of her hand quickly which may have caused her to flinch a little. Instantly, I felt hurt by that reaction and made it up by giving her a small smile and saying,

" Thank you, gorgeous."

She looks intensely into my eyes as if she's searching for something but then I realized that she must be stuck on my devilish looks so I just winked at her.

Her face heats up and pink flushes her skin for a second which I found to be adorable, though unfortunately, a ring to my phone interrupts this charming moment and brings me back to reality.

My phone flashes with Lenny's face on it.

What the hell does that idiot want now?

" One moment." I say, to the angel in front of me as I walk further away from her and pick up Lenny's call.

" What is it, Lenny?" " Sir, your father has told me to call you and tell you to come down here immediately. I think it's urgent news, sir."

" Is that all Lenny?"

" I believe so, sir."

" Tell my dad that I'll be there in about fifteen minutes. He can wait till then."

I hang up the phone and walk back to the counter, waiting for someone to take my order but so far no one has arrived so I decide to tap the bell next to me on the counter.

And when no one appears I tap it again and again and again and ag-

" May I help you, sir." Angel face. Just who I was looking for.

" You would have known that if you weren't in the back doing god knows what." I roll my eyes and pay attention to my phone.

" Excuse me, sir, I was doing my job. I'm very sorry that I wasn't here to take your order before but I am here now. So, what would you like?"

" I would like the workers here to start paying closer attention to their customers and not have such an attitude. What happened to the customers always, right?"

" With all due respect, sir. You were on your phone for quite a while,

do you just expect me to wait around for you all day just because you're some big shot who thinks that just because they can boss around their colleagues,

they can boss anyone in this world around."

I lift my head from my phone and stare into her eyes.

Call me crazy but that was hot.

But just because she has a voice of her own doesn't mean I don't either.

" It's your job to wait around all day and take orders from strangers, is it not?" Silence. Guess I won that argument.

a small smirk appears on my lips which seems to baffle her.

I won, did I not? Of course I did, no reason to question yourself Alex.

Time for this show to end.

" I'll take my usual." I say as I bow my head back into my phone again.

" And what might that be, sir?" I'm still sensing some attitude off her but I'll let it slide for now.

" A black iced coffee with three sprints of sugar and vanilla."

" Funny, I always thought that cold hearted a-holes like you always liked your coffee to be cold like their heart." " What was that?"

" Nothing."

A loud mouthed one huh?

" Here's your coffee, sir. Have a nice day."

That might just be the fakest smile I've ever seen.

Apart from all my other co-workers' smiles.

Hard to look at from angel face though.

" You too, angel." I say, walking out the shop with my coffee in my hand and making it to my car.
