Jacen’s POV:

“Sydney,” I shouted, but she already left. She left Slateville. She’s in hell. Why did she always do something without knowing the danger? She may not be ready to talk with me, but I will never be ready to lose her. She means the world to me. I can’t lose her in my life. She’s the best thing that happened in my life.

“Why did you let her go to hell? Bring her back,” I yelled at Kassidy, who’s looking like it’s already out of her hands.

“I am sorry. This is not my fault. I told her not to...”

“It’s your fault. You are the one who showed the portal. Who must have done this other than you?” I shouted as Amelia tried to pull me back.

“It’s not her fault, Jacen. We don’t know what happened. We only came here after Sydney went into the portal,” Amelia said, trying to stop me. I shrugged off her grip on my arms.

“Where is Sydney? What’s happening here?” I heard another voice. The Queen.

“Your majesty...” Kassidy trailed off as she can’t explain it to Sydney’s mother.

“Where is Sydney? Somebody answer me,” the Queen shouted, looking at everyone. Everyone’s eyes wandered over the hell portrait.

“Sydney went into the portal. She...she wants to save Lydia,” Amelia was the one who said. It took a minute for Victoria to take the words to her mind.

“Sorry, your majesty. I tried to stop her. But she’s determined to get back to her so-called aunt. She went alone by herself.” Kassidy explained the situation. This is unexpected. I know Sydney missed her aunt so much, but I didn’t think she was ready to go to hell just to get back to Lydia.

“Why didn’t you stop her? Do you think this explanation is enough? After sixteen years, I got my daughter back. I can’t lose her just like that. Are you too careless to let her use the portal, Kassidy,” Victoria shouted at Kassidy who got no answer?

“Get back to her. Go to hell. You are responsible for that,” I yelled at her again. I can’t control myself. I already felt like I am dead forever when she said 'we are over'. Before I could get back to her, she’s gone. What if she can’t survive in hell? Will I lose Sydney forever? Then what’s the purpose of living? I don’t think I can live without Sydney. I can rather stake myself.

“It’s not that simple. Even if I entered the portal, I can’t find where is Sydney? I can’t locate her. It’s not in my hands anymore. If she didn’t return to the portal in 24 hours, then she can’t get back here again. Never,” Kassidy told. Fuck. Now, what can I do? I don’t give a damn care about Coronation. I want her back. If there’s a way to lose my life to get her back alive, I would do that.

“How can she find the portal again? It’s impossible, Kassidy. I don’t know what are you going to do but you need to find a way. You are the one to blame. Do something, anything, to bring her back. She thinks she can do this. But there will be consequences if she wants to bring back Lydia’s life. Find her before she gets into any trouble. I want my daughter back. Understand,” The Queen ordered as Kassidy nodded like she knows a plan. Well, she knows nothing.

“I am going to stop the coronation,” with that word Victoria left angrily.

“How can you bring Sydney back? Please think of a way, Kassidy,” Amelia pleaded. Then some thoughts entered my mind. What if I could go to hell and find her?

“If you have no idea, let me use the portal,” I said as there’s utter silence in the room.

“You are insane. I am telling you it’s difficult to come back alive if we stepped into hell. How can I send you to hell?” Kassidy refused my idea. What else am I supposed to do?

“You are not ready to go there. You are not allowing me. Then what are you going to do? Let her die in hell?” I said as the word itself hurts me.

“I didn’t say that. Please go out of my room. I will do anything to bring the princess back. Just give me some time. I promise everyone I will bring her back. Please leave my room,” Kassidy shouted from her throat, losing her patience. I am not ready to leave. No one knows what situation does Sydney dealing with while we are arguing here. But we got no solution to save her?

“Fine. We will leave. Jacen, come on,” I heard my brother’s voice.

“I am not leaving...” I refused while Kassidy is sitting on her couch with her hands on her head.

“Jacen, please. Give her some space,” Amelia pleaded and Noah got me out, closing the door. I saw some tears fall from Kassidy’s eyes before Noah closed the door. h“You are pressuring her. This is out of her hands. If you don’t stress her, she will surely come up with a plan,” Amelia reasons, supporting her. I don’t know about ‘giving space’. I want Sydney back. I can’t think of anyone while Sydney’s in danger. First, she walked away from me and now she’s daringly gone to hell.

I already feel guilty about hiding the truth from her. Her so-called aunt Lydia didn’t accept her to study in the academy. But I want to be with her so I lied. I thought it’s a simple lie. I never ever know she’s Victoria’s daughter. I don’t know there’s a valid reason for Sydney to be locked in the house. I messed it up. Even if I find her, she won’t be ready to see me. She hates me. We never had a fight or argument, but in a single day, everything changed. She just broke up with me. I know that’s my fault. At least I should have respected Lydia and comforted her when she lost her aunt. But I didn’t do that. I don’t know why I acted like that. I lost her when I had a chance to do it. I have no idea how I am going to get her back alive and get her back to me.
