Flash Marriage, Hard to Divorce

Atualização

Introdução
Betrayed by both her fiancé and her own sister, she impulsively married a stranger—a man twice her age. What started as a cold, contractual arrangement for mutual benefit quickly spiraled into something entirely unexpected. "Mr. Jiang," she hissed, clutching her robe tighter, "weren’t you supposed to be gay? Then why are you lurking outside my bathroom?" His lips curved into a smirk, unfazed. "Mr. Jiang," she spat later, eyes blazing, "wasn’t the whole world under the impression you were paralyzed from the waist down?" He merely raised an eyebrow, his gaze darkening with amusement. "Jiang Zhengnan!" she finally exploded, throwing her hands up. "You lying snake—I want a divorce!" His voice dropped to a dangerous purr as he stepped closer. "Divorce? Not until you’ve given birth to our child."

Hospital Ward

The sterile corridor reeked of disinfectant, yet it couldn't mask the sounds of passionate gasps and whispers.

"Xianghui, tell me—am I better, or is my sister?"

"Is that even a question? Su Miaoyu might as well be a block of wood!"

"..."

Su Miaoyu stood frozen outside the door, her fingers hovering just inches from knocking. The voices, the words—they sent a shockwave through her.

Her heart shattered, but a stubborn refusal to believe kept her trembling hand suspended in the air. Slowly, she pushed the door open.

The creak of the hinges cut through the room like a knife. Inside, the entwined couple jerked apart, their heads snapping toward the intrusion.

For a heartbeat, all three of them stood paralyzed.

Disbelief in Miaoyu's eyes twisted into fury and humiliation.

The lovers tangled together were none other than her boyfriend, Zhou Xianghui, and her own sister, Su Miaoxue.

Her legs turned to lead. Every ounce of strength drained from her body, rooting her to the spot.

"What... what are you doing?" The words barely escaped her lips, choked by shock.

The insulated lunchbox slipped from her grip, clattering to the floor. Hot chicken soup spilled across the tiles, the rich aroma mingling with the sterile air.

Zhou Xianghui was hospitalized with stomach problems. She had spent five hours at home carefully preparing soup for him, only for him to give her a front-row seat to this disgusting spectacle?

Compared to her shock, Zhou Xianghui and Su Miaoxue appeared utterly unfazed. They exchanged a glance before rising from the couch, casually smoothing their disheveled clothes as if nothing were amiss.

Zhou Xianghui draped an arm around Su Miaoxue’s shoulders, raising an eyebrow as he shrugged nonchalantly at Su Miaoyu. "Miaoyu, since you’ve already seen us, there’s no point hiding it anymore. I love Miaoxue. Let’s break up."

"Zhou Xianghui, have you lost your mind?" Su Miaoyu exploded, her furious gaze boring into the shameless man before her. "Do you even realize Miaoxue is my sister? How could you deceive both of us like this?"

Su Miaoxue let out a derisive snort. "Oh, please, dear sister. Xianghui never deceived me. What we have is real love!"

As she spoke, she locked eyes with Zhou Xianghui, who promptly lifted her hand and pressed a kiss to it.

"Shut up!" Su Miaoyu jabbed a trembling finger at her sister, her clear eyes now blazing with fury. "Miaoxue, you’re engaged to Jiang Zhengnan! Even if you don’t care about shaming the Su family, have you no regard for the Jiangs’ reputation?"

"Hah!" Su Miaoxue threw her head back with a mocking laugh, her lips curling in disdain. "You think I’d actually marry a crippled blind man?"

Rumors swirled about Jiang Zhengnan—though handsome, he was blind and disabled. Who in their right mind would willingly marry such a man?

Su Miaoyu let out a cold chuckle. "That engagement was arranged by Grandpa Jiang. Weren’t you thrilled about it back then? Now that he’s disabled, you’re backing out? How despicable!"

Su Miaoxue sneered. "You know what? Originally, Grandpa Jiang wanted you, Su Miaoyu. The engagement contract even had your name on it. But back then, I thought Jiang Zhengnan was good-looking, so I changed the character 'Yu' to 'Xue.' Who knew he’d end up crippled later..."

Su Miaoyu’s eyes widened in disbelief. "Miaoxue, you’d stoop this low just to be with this scumbag? You’re making this up!"

"Don’t believe me? Go ask Mom and Dad!" Su Miaoxue shot back, unfazed. "I was ready to live with my mistake and marry that blind man, but then I met Xianghui... and I realized he’s the one I truly love!"

She clung to Zhou Xianghui’s arm, nestling against him with sickening sweetness.

"You—!" Su Miaoyu’s fists clenched, her face flushed with rage at the sight of her sister’s brazen display.

Though they weren't blood-related, the two sisters had grown up together.

As the elder sister, Su Miaoyu had always tolerated her younger sister's domineering and spoiled behavior. But she never imagined Su Miaoxue would stoop so low as to steal her man!

Twenty years of sisterly affection—was it really no match for some guy?

"Shameless!" Su Miaoyu's eyes burned crimson with fury, yet she stubbornly held back her tears. She spat the words at Su Miaoxue through clenched teeth before jabbing a finger at Zhou Xianghui. "You scumbag! You'll regret this—mark my words!"

She turned and stormed out, only to nearly collide with a wheelchair rounding the corner.

"Miss Su, wait." A deep, velvety voice stopped her in her tracks. The man in the wheelchair raised a hand to block her path.

Su Miaoyu froze and looked down.

Dressed in an immaculate white suit, the man had sharp, chiseled features—his handsome face like something carved from marble. Yet his striking eyes were dull and unfocused, clearly sightless.

"J-Jiang... Brother Jiang?" she stammered in surprise.

This imposing yet blind man in the wheelchair was none other than Jiang Zhengnan—her sister's fiancé and the eldest grandson of the Jiang family, the city's most powerful dynasty.

Jiang Zhengnan maneuvered his wheelchair forward with practiced ease and arched a brow at her, lips quirking into a smirk. "How about it? Want to marry me?"

Su Miaoyu blinked, stunned—but realization quickly dawned. He must have found out about Zhou Xianghui and Su Miaoxue's affair too.

Sensing her hesitation, the man's thin lips parted again, his tone light but firm. "Since we've both been betrayed, why not take pity on each other? Let's make do—get married and get on with life."

Despite his blindness, the man's smile was radiant and vivid, devoid of any trace of bitterness over being cheated on. Instead, he seemed almost amused by the situation. "What's the matter? You don’t want to marry a useless cripple like me either?"

"No, no, no!" Su Miaoyu shook her head frantically. "It's just... too sudden..."

Jiang Zhengnan reached out and caught her hand with uncanny precision. With a slight tug, he pulled her straight into his lap, his warm breath brushing against her ear as he murmured, "Marry me. As Mrs. Jiang, you’ll have power at your fingertips—do whatever you want, crush whoever you please."

The crisp, intoxicating scent of him enveloped her, sending an electric shiver down her spine. Instinctively, she tried to push him away, but his grip tightened, his hands firm on her shoulders, trapping her against him.

A wicked smirk curled his lips as he leaned in, his voice a low whisper in her ear. "Relax. It’s just a marriage of convenience. I’m paralyzed below the waist—I can’t exactly perform my *husbandly duties*."

"I—" Su Miaoyu wrenched herself free. "Let me think about it!"
