Shen Bai Mu was awakened by the heat, wrapped in a white quilt, pressing her so heavily that she could hardly breathe. She slapped herself in the head, the hangover giving her a pounding headache.

"Jiang Hao..." Shen Bai Mu called out weakly.

There was no response. Shen Bai Mu had no choice but to get up. Her quilt slid down, revealing hickeys all over her body, and there was some movement downstairs.

Shen Bai Mu sat still, as though she were struck by a bolt of lightning. She stared dully at the luxurious yet unfamiliar surroundings. It seemed that she'd...she'd slept with Jiang Hao...

The bathroom resounded with a faint sound of running water.

She instantly threw off the covers, draped a black suit from the side onto her body, and hurriedly walked toward the bathroom. A muscular figure was shadowily outlined behind the frosted glass. "Jiang Hao?"

"Click!"

The door suddenly swung open from inside, and Shen Bai Mu beheld a man with sharp eyebrows and distinct features. Her eyes widened dramatically, "Ah!"

Shen Bai Mu screamed in fear and tried to spin around to run. Before she could get far, a strong hand clamped over her mouth, slamming her against the wall in one move.

"What are you screaming for? Didn't scream enough last night?"

Staring in terror at the strange man who emerged from the bathroom, Shen Bai Mu bit down onto Gu Kai Feng's hand in an opening.

Gu Kai Feng's eyebrows knitted together as he immediately shoved her away. There was a clear set of teeth marks on his hand. His face darkened, "So good at biting, huh?"

Shen Bai Mu gripped the suit she wore tight, her brain a total blank in confusion. What was going on? Why was she in a room with a strange man?

Moreover, the feeling on her body was clear, she had lost her virginity!

"Who are you? Where is Jiang Hao? Are you a friend of Jiang Hao's? Did he have something urgent come up so he asked you to pick me up?"

"Jiang Hao?" Gu Kaifeng gazed at her thoughtfully, his long, narrow eyes filled with mockery. "You were calling this name in bed last night. Your boyfriend?"

Shen Baimu looked at him in disbelief.

With a cold sneer, Gu Kaifeng said, "What? You don't remember? Do you want me to remind you?" He stepped forward, wedging his leg between hers, and swiftly grasped her neck. "For this face of yours, you must have spent a good amount of money."

Shen Baimu reached up to grab his hand. "I don't know what you're talking about, let me go!"

"You don't know?" Gu Kaifeng's gloomy gaze fell upon her. "You came here willingly right? Lying on my bed like this, all done up just so I would sleep with you?"

Smack!

Shen Baimu slapped Gu Kaifeng's face. "You're probably just overconfident! It's you who is assaulting me, not the other way around! Understand, I am the victim here!"

Shen Baimu tried to move, but Gu Kaifeng's leg prevented her. She couldn't move at all. "Let me go!"

Gu Kaifeng's expression darkened.

"What now? You can't control your lower half and yet you still want to reason?" Shen Baimu felt wronged and wanted to cry. She didn't know what was going on. Wasn't she supposed to be with Jiang Hao?

Why was she on somebody else's bed?

Gu Kaifeng glanced at her. He loosened his grip on her roughly, then impatiently tied a towel around his waist. "I am indeed curious to see what kind of scheme you have in mind."

Shen Baimu didn't want to deal with him anymore. She went straight into the bathroom. "Get out, I need to shower."

Without a word, Gu Kaifeng turned to leave.

"Wait!" Shen Bai Mu suddenly called out to him.

Gu Kai Feng sneered coldly. Indeed, all women were the same.

Shen Bai Mu looked at him, her voice trembling, "Did you use a condom?

Gu Kai Feng's eyebrows instantly knitted together, "What did you say?"

"Did you use a condom? Don't you understand?" Suddenly thinking of the fluid that had trickled out from her lower body when she woke up, she took a deep breath, "You're not sick, are you?"

Gu Kai Feng's face turned dark immediately, "Do you think I'm like you?"

He wanted to strangle this woman for doubting him having a disease. Why didn't he make her lose her voice last night?

Gu Kai Feng, with a gloomy face, threw down a sentence, "After you finish washing up, come out for medicine."

With a bang, he slammed the bathroom door.

Shen Bai Mu cursed him several times in her heart. She didn't use protection, yet she was the one to take the pill! Shen Bai Mu, with a sorrowful face, squatted under the showerhead, feeling utterly miserable.

After showering, she put on a bathrobe and picked up her clothes to change. The dress was prepared for Jiang Hao's birthday, a white strapless dress that perfectly brought out her figure. She intended to fully give herself to Jiang Hao, but why was fate so unpredictable?

"Come here for medicine." Gu Kai Feng's frosty voice interrupted her thoughts.

Without saying a word, Shen Bai Mu went over to take the medicine, then slammed the glass onto the table, her eyes full of anger as she stared at Gu Kai Feng, "I must have bad luck for eight lifetimes."

"What did you say?" Gu Kai Feng's eyes narrowed as he gave her a dark look.

"It's nothing!" Swallowing her anger, Shen Bai Mu swiftly turned around and ran. The aura emanating from him was intimidating, and she was smart enough to know who she should or shouldn't provoke.

As she opened the door, what met her was not the night breeze, but a volley of flashing lights colder than the breeze itself.

Microphones from various media outlets, each marked with the emblems of their respective publication, pointed towards her as if on cue.

Shen Bai Mu's face instantly turned deathly pale.

"Miss, can you tell us the nature of your relationship with the head of Gu Corporation, Mr. Gu Kai Feng?"

"Miss, are you a university student? There are rumours that Mr. Gu has harassed university girls. Are you the victim in question?"

"Miss, do you know that Mr. Gu is already engaged? He brought you to the hotel tonight, was it by your own will?"

...

These bombardments of intrusive queries exploded around Shen Bai Mu. With wide-eyed shock, she looked at the group of eager reporters, realizing that everyone would now know that she had a one-night stand.

The reporters barged in upon seeing Gu Kai Feng in his bathrobe, snapping uncoordinated shots of everything inside the room.

Shen Bai Mu was toppled unduly by a group of people. Her exposed hand was stepped on by a few reporters. The pain was so intense that it felt like it was shooting up right into her heart, causing her to gasp, "You are stepping on me! Hey!”

No one even cared to listen to her - all the reporters were eyeing the scoop on Mr. Gu.

"Get out of the way!" Gu Kai Feng roared, pushing away the reporters in front of him. He headed towards her, picking her up from the ground.

"Are you alright, baby?" Gu Kai Feng's worried voice echoed in her ear.

Shen Bai Mu looked at Gu Kai Feng in surprise. What she saw, however, were his handsome eyebrows and eyes, filled with deep mockery from within.
