Michelle's pov
I wandered around the streets trying to find myself a job but I couldn't. Not even a notice board was placed outside.
I looked down at my shoes and shook my head. I really need to buy a new one. They've been my companion since college days.
Adjusted my gown and making my way to a kiosk and sat down on the bench. I took out my phone and surf the internet.
The news of Xavier. Xavier Scott filled the net. They were talking about his new movie he just did and had been trending.
I smiled when I saw his picture. He was wearing a white shirt and a jean trouser.
I saved his picture and put back my phone into my old fashioned bag.
I really wish I could see him face to face. I had crush on him since he started acting. He's everyone's crush.
Even the old ones are crushing on him. The breeze blew my hair and made scattered all over my face.
Just as i was trying to tie with a rubber band. A car passing by splash mud on my dress.
What the hell?
The dress I brought with my sweat.
The car didn't stop, I ran after the car to make the driver stop.
"Hey! Stop driving!" I shouted and eventually stood in front of the car.
The car came to halt immediately. Yeah! Stupid bold me.
"What are you doing there young woman? Do you want to die young?" The driver said, coming out of the black-tinted car.
"You splashed mud on me and you can't even come down to say you're sorry. Do you know how I suffered to get this dress?" I ranted.
"Do I care? Leave the way please. You're trying to ruin someone's appointment." He pushed me away from the car.
"Nope. Until you say sorry. I won't leave until you say that." I moved to car again and sat on the bonnet.
Some people passing had stopped to watch the scene I'm stupidly making with the driver.
"Johnson? What's going on there? I'm fucking running late!" A voice from the car spoke.
"Sir, there's a young girl delaying us. I mistakenly splashed mud on her and she had to stop the car to make me say sorry." The driver replied.
"Give her money and let her go her way. I'm running late. If I miss this appointment you'd get fired!" The voice warned sternly.
He should give me money? He should be quick with the money. I'm not even sure I will eat this night.
I can't reject the money.
"Okay sir." The driver turned to. "You don't know who you're battling with." The driver shook his head
He came out with two bundles of dollars and handed it over to me.
"You can take it. Poor wretch!" The driver scoffed.
"A poor wretch?" I scoffed.
"What about you? A church rat? Your mates are in a good office. You're here driving someone, which I'm very sure he's younger than you." I answered with sarcasm.
His calmed face changed into a frown. He wanted to hit me but he restricted when he was called.
"The day I will see you. I'd beat you to stupor that day." He warned.
"You won't even come near me." I said with a chuckle and made my way forward.
The driver drove passed me and I did a fuck-you finger to him.
I wish I could see the man in the backseat. His voice is wow and familiar.
I boarded a taxi home. I got to my doorstep, remembered what my mom had sent me before I went out of the house this morning.
Sighing, I quickly ran to buy eggs and a tin of milk before going inside.
I opened the door and saw mom in the kitchen from the sitting room. We live in this small hole we call house.
"Mom, I'm back!" I yelled, enough for the neigbours to hear.
"Michelle, did you buy the eggs and milk?" She ignored my greetings.
Ever since I graduated and couldn't find a job, my mom has changed towards me. I feel like an outcast.
"Yes mom. Here it is." I went to the kitchen and stretched the polythene bag to her.
She collected and turned back to what she's cooking. I sighed and went to the room I share with my mom but different bed.
I placed my bag on the chair and walked to my wardrobe to get changed.
Definitely tomorrow, I'd get a job.
Got to the kitchen to helped my mom, who did her best trying to avoid me doing the cooking.
Xavier's pov
That idiot succeeded in ruining my appointment. Arrgh! A contract of 10 million dollars!
"Sir, your........."
"Just shut up!" I yelled at my personal assistant.
"I'm sorry sir, but your father is asking for you and it's urgent" He completed and moved away.
Fuck it.
I'm Xavier Scott, an actor. My father owned the Scott's Entertainment. I have passion for acting and I really love it.
I'm what they call king of dumpers. I fuck girls and dump. I hate being disappointed.
Right now, I'm supposed to sign a contract that worth millions but now, that tiny girl ruined it.
I got to my father's office and sat furiously on the chair.
"Good morning dad." I greeted, perfunctorily.
"You missed the appointment, Xavier." He said with a little anger in his voice.
"I'm sorry dad. I met a devil on the way. Had to make me come late" I apologized.
"Okay. I will be retiring on Monday and I need you to take over." He began.
"Really dad? You're retiring?" I asked surprised.
"Yes. In the next five days, I want you to bring your girlfriend to me. Then you take over."
"I don't understand. I don't have a girlfriend."
"You better find one. I have no one else than you. So you're the only heir to this Entertainment." He responded.
"What if I don't see anyone?" I inquired.
"You won't like what I'm gonna do." He said, sternly and left the office.
Gosh! A girlfriend in the next five days?
Where the hell did he want me to get that from?
