FRANCE: PARIS

The sound of phone ringing filled the whole room as it keep ringing nonstop,

Fred’s step out of the bathroom he had a towel over his head to dry off the water dripping from his hair, he was in his bathrobe as he just had a late night shower ready to go to bed

He picks up the ringing phone from the bed and wonder who could be calling him that late, he stares at the number on the screen it was an unknown number. Without having much thought Fred picks up the call, still drying his hair with the towel.

“Who is this?” he asked, slipping his slippers off as he climbs the bed.

“Huh….” He hears a grunt and pause, he waits for the familiar female voice to speak again but a different voice come in.

“If you need your girlfriend come to the address that will be sent to you and mind you nobody should know about this” a hoarse voice threaten. Fred quickly stand up from the bed “Hadiza” Fred calls to hear his girlfriend's voice grunting and the call gets disconnected.

Fred look perplexed as he stares at the screen of his phone “what is happening?” he ask no one in particular “Ding” he receives a text message, and he quickly check the text, it is an address and a picture in which Hadiza his girlfriend is tied up with blood dripping from her face and a gun point to her.

Fred's eyes widened in shock and he immediately pick up a shirt and trousers, he puts them on quickly making a run for the door.

Fred run inside again to pick his car keys because he wasn’t in the right frame of mind, seeing his girlfriend in such state makes his brain stop working for a while. 

He quickly gets into his car and start the car then speed off to the address sent to him, on his way he tries dialing Hadiza’s number, but it was switched off he tried again staring at the phone but still switched, sweats forms on his forehead as he became more agitated.

 Although Fred is the CEO of Brain a reputable company in Paris which has other companies crawling after it,Fred has never thought that anything could cause him to be frightened out of his shell he has always had everything at his beck and call, never has he imagine he could be as helpless as he is now.

Fred loves Hadiza so much that he could bear to lose her, apart of his family, Hadiza is the only person who could move him and the thought of Hadiza being in danger scared him out of his with the picture he sees on his phone make his mind run wild with bad thoughts “who the hell could have done this?” thought loudly driving with a full speed.

After many thoughts, Fred couldn’t figure out who could possibly kidnap his Hadiza just to threaten him, he really hopes it was just that and nothing else, if anything happens to her, he won’t be able to forgive himself.

Fred made a rough stop at the address that was sent to him after driving for one hour and he quickly gets out of his car holding his phone, he glare at the place, it was an abandoned building, as Fred was still looking at the building the phone in his hand ring again it is the same number.

“Hello” Fred instantly picks up the call “come into the building” the harsh voice said, Fred obey and walked into the abandoned building, his so obedient only because Hadiza is with them.

When Fred walked into the building he sees Hadiza being held by two hefty men in black with their face covered, one of them is holding a big iron rod standing in front of them like the boss.

Hadiza start struggling to get freed when she sees Fred, her beautiful face is all covered up with her blood, Fred heart race fast, as he made to move forward one of them place a knife to Hadiza's neck which abruptly Fred stop him from moving any further “if you move one step forward this goes into her throat” the one holding up the knife threatened 

“What do you guys want?”Fred ask furiously with his eyes darken seeing Hadiza in such state and not being able to do anything make his heart ache badly, his fist tightened trying to pass all his frustration into it, he had his eyes fixed on Hadiza who was in tears struggling to get herself freed.

Fred made to move towards them again and the one with the knife draw the knife closer to Hadiza's throat cutting her a little, Fred panic and yell at them to stop while Hadiza look frightens at Fred, her eyes begging for Fred to help her 

“Take me instead, just leave her alone” Fred said pleading “we will decide that Fred Waltz” the boss said and they suddenly takes Hadiza away with them, the leader following them as if guarding the way.

Fred is surprise to see them taking Hadiza away.

“What are you doing?” Fred shouts after them and run towards them,, but the men locks the door to the building after them to hinder Fred from following them.

Fred pushes the door hard to open the door, but the door will not budge, Fred looks around the place and see a big stick, he quickly take the stick and break the door then start runing after them.

Fred hears Hadiza calling for him to help her, Fred did not know what to do but keep following the voice of Hadiza and was also calling her name and don't .

After sometimes Fred catch up with them beside the sea which looks plain,, but he sees that Hadiza is made to kneel at the side of a sea. 

“Blame Fred Waltz for causing your death and not me” the leader said and use the iron object in his hand to hit Hadiza's head, “Hadizaaaaa!" Fred shout and run as fast as he could do Hadiza as he sees that the leader hits her with the iron object.

The other two men push Hadiza into the sea then the leader smash Fred's head also with the iron object as he run to them, Fred slowly fall down when the iron object hits him hard looking as Hadiza go down into the sea then his eyes close, and he fell unconscious.

After a year

“What did you mean by you could not find him, I hate when people prove not to be responsible, do you need this job or not?” Fred stares at his secretary murderously “you better find a way to fix all this or forget about this job and get out of my face” he throws the documents in his hand towards his secretary in anger, his secretary quickly pick up the documents and run out of his office.

One year after his girlfriend disappear he has totally changed to a cold person without any emotions, after that night he was found unconscious by some people that took him to the hospital. When he regains consciousness he asks for his girlfriend, but he was told that they could not find her, he scatter the hospital and scream for Hadiza, he was induced before he could calm down. The doctor told his family that he is mentally affected by his girlfriend incident, after he was discharged from the hospital he searched everywhere for his girlfriend, but he could not find her.

It has been a year, but he never gave up finding her, everyone in the company already knew that his personality as become so bad after the incident, so his secretary was not offended with his behaviors just now she is already used to it.

After the secretary left Fred held his chest, when he get too agitated his heart will be hurting, he held his chest and try to sit down, Hayden his brother came into his office to see him holding his chest in pain "brother his your heart hurting again?" Hayden quickly run towards him and help him sit down "brother you must be careful the doctor already warn us" Hayden look worried "you mean I should overlook everything and let them do whatever they like and allow anything happen anyhow" Fred was breathing heavily he stand up and face his brother "i cannot take that, I will never take that, if anyone offend me or make me look low they will be trampled". He was acting as if he will fight his brother Hayden already knew that his brother as start acting strange again so he kept quiet.

Fred has been visiting a psychiatrist after Hadiza's incident because he is suffering from post trauma stress and there has been no improvement for that one year. The doctor told them that expect he finds his girlfriend or someone to fill the space of his girlfriend in his heart he might be like that forever. Hayden sigh as he look at his brother "alright brother I understand" Hayden will always calm him down by agreeing to his words, if he keep arguing with him then Fred will throw a taunt.

"Good" Fred muttered and sit down "brother I will be going to Italy for business tomorrow morning" Hayden said and look to his brother. Despite his brother's trauma the company is not affected at all because his brother work more than before, apart from working he does nothing else. "Alright you should go" Fred nod his head, Hayden sigh and pat his brother's shoulder he smile bitterly and left his office, he really wish his brother could come back to him, it seems as if he lost his brother.
