Prologue
I WAS on my way to school, when i was almost hit by a tricycle, and mud splattered on my uniform because he brakes so that his tricycle will stop..
WHAT THE?!
"The hell?!." I said with disgust while looking at my muddy uniform
"Sorry, Miss… I didn’t mean to put mud on you,” He took a deep breath “Look it’s muddy, please accept my sorry, Miss, I have something to do, so yeah… I’ll go ahead” He’s about to go but I stopped him
“Wait! Where are you going?! What am I gonna do with this? I’m away from home!” I said angrily
It’s my first day at school!
“Look, Miss, I’m a busy person-” I cut him off
"I will accept your apology, just take me home!” I didn’t wait his answer and just got inside his tricycle
"Uh, okay sure, Where do you live?” He ask
"There at the third village, I walked so long earlier because the driver of the tricycle I was riding earlier got a problem so I have no choice but to walk! ugh! I waited for another tricycle that I may ride but no one has passed! and now I haven’t gone to school yet but look at me! my uniform is a mess!” I said
“I didn’t tell you to tell me a story! I asked you where do you live so I can take you home,” his irritated
"In the third village! And once you enter the village turn right then go straight, then you will see a mango tree. After that turn to your left then go straight until you reach the end of the village … and there is my house, Oh! my bad I’m wrong you will see there are ten houses and my house is number eleven, just kidding,” And then I laugh. He looked at me with a frown
“Girl, If you’re playing, stop already,” He glared at me “It’s not funny,”
I feel scared by his look but I didn’t show him
"I-I’m not!,"
"what if… you drive?," he’s looking at me while his forehead wrinkled
"what?! why me?,” I shouted at him
"I didn’t understand what you said," He said in disgust
"Psh," and I look at my wrist watch
It’s already 6:30 and I need to go home again! my class starts at 7:15 am
I have no choice! so I’m the one will drive
I scratched.”Okay, fine! I’ll drive!"
We changed seats. I’m the one who’s driving and he’s the one inside the tricycle. It was good that my father taught me how to drive a tricycle. My father said, If I couldn’t finish school and just wander around, He said it’s better for me to be a tricycle driver. well that’s not bad
When I got home I saw my elder brother lying under our guava tree
"what are you doing there?are you Juan Tamad?," I said wryly
"why’re you so early?," He wonder
"I haven't even stepped foot in front of the school! Don’t you see? My uniform has a mud. I need to get changed before I go to school!”
“ Oh, shit, what happened?”
"I’ll tell you later!" I said and I immediately went to my room and got changed. After I got change I go downstairs hurry
When I went out I saw him ready to go
"Hey! Wait!" I shout and he look at me
"Why?” he shouted back
"Take me to my school! This is your fault why I’m late!” I said quickly and walk to go to his tricycle right away
"What?! I took you here at your house, I didn’t even do what I needed to do, then you want me to take you to your school? You might even want me to wait for you after your class just to take you home?” He sarcastically said
"Yes, I do, and what? you brought me? to my house? I’m the one who drove here, right?” I smiled sweetly and rolled my eyes at him
He just shook his head.
WE ARRIVED at the school, I immediately got off his tricycle and went inside “Thanks, huh!” He’s sarcastic again. I just rolled my eyes
As soon as I entered the national anthem started playing, so I stopped, there so many students here
wow huh? It's the first day but a lot of students are almost late. and yeah I’m one of them
It’s already 7:10
So many students stopping in front of me, I backed away a little but as I backed away I stepped a foot, but I didn’t see who it is
When the national anthem is finished I look at my back but there is no one behind me. Maybe he or she go to his perspective line
"You’re almost late," Kyth whispered. My best friend-- I call her Marga or Kyth or maybe witch
“She’s my best friend since-- I can’t remember it’s been a long time
“yes, something happened that’s why,”
“Ahh, what happened then?”
"You can talk later, the Principal is saying something,”," Jacob said. The Student’s President last s.y
He’s gay
The principal talks a lot. I’m bored
"Oh, God, you never fail to create a handsome man," I looked at Jacob who’s thrilled his one hand is covering his mouth
“ Huh? who?," I asked and look everywhere
"secret," He said and laugh

“he’s unbelievable,” I whispered
“ I know right. But I still have a crush on Jacob, It’s not impossible that he’ll like me back,” Kyth whispered
Since elementary she likes Jacob;Jacob keeps on pushing Kyth away
“He doesn’t like you, there so many boys out there, moved on,”
“he’s different, though,” she smile sadly
“Yeah? he’s different from other boys, because other boys likes you and Jacob doesn’t,” I said and shook my head
“You’re always like that! he will like me back, I promised,”
“Nah, he didn’t, stop that you’re just hurting yourself,”
I don’t want my best friend to be sad but I’m just saying the fact, she goes insane when Jacob’s around
