South City, Winter Solstice.
Heavy snow fell for three days, the streets were cold and deserted.
The Imperial Hotel was bustling with people drinking and toasting.
That day was a special day. The twin daughters of the MacGregor family, the richest family in South City, were celebrating their 20th birthday. All the wealthy businessmen and celebrities were present.
So it was no surprise that someone had taken the opportunity to 'tidy up' some loose ends.
And that's how, on such an important occasion, the elder sister, Paige, was drugged in front of everyone.
When Paige opened her eyes again, she was already lying in bed, surrounded by darkness.
She had a terrible headache that felt like it was going to split her in two, her hands and feet were numb and she had trouble getting up, she felt strange, dizzy, but even that didn't stop her from feeling something even stranger... a warm touch.
"Are you awake? Do you want some water?"
Oh my god, it was a man's voice!
Paige was completely terrified, and her body began to shake uncontrollably. With what little strength she had, she tried to run away, but as soon as she took a step back, the man next to her grabbed her.
"You said you would come see me, why did you get so drunk without me?"
The man chuckled. "If you don't wake up soon, I don't know if I can stop, I can't wait any longer."
With that, he quickly grabbed Paige's wrist, pulled her into his arms and before Paige could do anything, their lips met passionately!
The man kissing her was not only strong, he was tall, or at least that was what she could guess in the darkness, and, truth be told, he had a talent for kissing. Paige could smell the faint scent of cologne on his body. With his hand he firmly grasped the back of her head, she was completely trapped and unable to move.
Using what little reason she still had and knowing that she couldn't defeat the other party even if she used all her strength, Paige decided that she couldn't just push him away, so she waited for the opportunity.
Noticing that the man's breathing was becoming shallow and chaotic, Paige gritted her teeth against his lips, moved quickly so she was on top of him, and faced him.
There was something hoarse and seductive in the man's laughter. "Oh, so it turns out you like me being rough. You should have told me these things from the start.."
Paige didn't answer. She just turned to turn on the light on the wall.
The light of the crystal chandelier suddenly flashed, and the man under her was blinded by the dazzle.
That was her last chance to save herself and she would take it!
Paige immediately took the opportunity to grab the bottle of red wine from the nightstand. She smashed it with what little strength she could muster and quickly pointed the sharp end at the man's throat.
Her hands were shaking badly. She pretended to be calm and tried to show a fierce look.
Paige sat on top of the man, who squinted at her.
He had deep eyebrows and handsome looks. There was a faint smile on his face, and it was hard to tell whether it was because of happiness or mockery.
It didn't seem to matter how precarious his situation was, he seemed to have seen through her fierce setup.
But Paige didn't know him at all. But from the man's tone, it was obvious he did... not to mention that to him, they were very close!
There was only one possibility, this man mistook her for her twin sister, Alana!
"What's wrong?"
The man said in a lazy tone, "Why are you so angry? I've only been away for a few days, and you're so angry?"
As he spoke, the man couldn't wait to get up and kiss Paige on the face again.
Paige couldn't dodge the blow, and the glass pierced his shoulder. The man frowned in surprise at the sudden pain, and warm blood spurted from the wound. He looked at Paige in utter confusion.
"Tell me my name and who am I to you." Paige held her breath and looked at him with burning eyes. "Look at my face and answer. Who am I?"
