                    A Retelling

Yuki Sora has always been in love with her childhood friend, his royal highness, Prince Jiro Takeshi.

She has always considered him as her own prince charming, her confidant, and her protector.

She has tried to fight her feelings, for she is aware how Jiro really feels.

She knows that Jiro only thinks of her as his sibling, a younger friend he vowed to protect many years ago.

However, the love she treasured and kept deep within her heart is finally too much to bear.

She gathers enough courage and reveals to him how much she loves him. She begs him to look at her as a woman, not just as a friend.

Jiro, not knowing how to deal with her confession, rejects and mocks Yuki, calling her nothing more than a disillusioned child.

Jiro has yet to realize the extent of his feelings for the only woman he has allowed to stay by his side.

Yuki tries to forget her feelings for Jiro. She finds it too painful to even think about Jiro after he rejects her like she means nothing to him.

She has always been a loner, and now that she has also lost Jiro she feels like she is drowning in a sea of sadness and grief.

In this storm of emotions, Kaede Oda comes into her life as the new transfer student in her class.

The boy genius shows an interest in her. He is steadfast, principled, determined, and devastatingly handsome.

But Kaede holds a secret: he is a demon general tasked with spying on mortals as a preparation to his grand plan of conquering the human world.

He initially plans to use Yuki as a cover for his real identity, but the more the gets to know her, the harder he falls for the human girl.

Will he still be able to destroy her world, or will he change his allegiance to protect the one he holds dear?

While Yuki and Kaede are fast becoming friends, Yuki's world is once again thrown into doubt when she discovers that Jiro has returned.

Will Jiro's presence awaken within her the love she once felt for the crown prince? Or will she fall for the demon general who pretends to be her friend?

Meanwhile, Jiro feels lost in a whirlwind of his own emotions when he sees another man standing beside Yuki.

Only then does he realize he can never bear the thought of losing her completely.

The unfeeling prince is suddenly confronted by his own jealousy, and the thought of Yuki with another man fills his heart with hatred.

Jiro will do everything in his power to separate Yuki from Kaede. But will the cold-hearted prince trade his soul just to have Yuki by his side forever?

In a twisted world that craves bloodshed and suffering, secret emotions cannot be hidden for long.

And what about the brewing conflict between the demons and the human world?

Will our three protagonists become a casualties in the war, forever trapped in their own bewitching illusions?
