Chapter

White Cloud City...

In the College administration's head office...

"I'm sorry, Mr. Jaden Qiang. Your scholarship has been revoked by the Higher-ups.", said the cold voice of the School's faculty personnel.

"I... I'm sorry, Sir. What... what do you mean?", asked the young man named Jaden Qiang with an exasperated voice.

He almost abruptly stood up when the cold words of the middle-aged pot-bellied man across the desk reached his ears.

His eyes intently fixed on the middle-aged man's eyes, clearly expressing his confusion upon hearing that his scholarship was revoked in an abrupt manner.

A look of disdain flashed across the middle-aged man's face upon seeing Jaden's expression and repeated, "As I had just said, Mr. Qiang. Your scholarship has been revoked by the Higher-ups."

"How... h-how could this happen? Sir... Sir, are you perhaps mistaken?", Jaden was still quite shaken about the news and still couldn't believe what just happened and asked once more.

Jaden Qiang was, so to say, originally from a small village in the countryside. Growing up as an orphan and surrounded by strangers, life has been extremely hard on him.

Even he, himself never knew his parents or where he originally came from.

He was only told that the Chief of the Village coincidentally found him inside a basket wrapped in a baby blanket on the mountains when he was taking a morning stroll.

Fortunately, the Village has been kind of nice to him. Although the villagers are suffering from poverty, they were able to properly raise him to what he is now despite the fact that they could barely provide for themselves and their families.

Growing up with the moral teachings of the Elders in the Village, Jaden has always been a good, upright, and bright kid.

When he came of age and was in his teens, thanks to the financial efforts of the villagers, he was able to attend middle school.

And from then on, he worked harder than his peers and had been an outstanding student all throughout his middle school years.

Due to this, he graduated as a valedictorian with a bunch of honorable rewards. In which, a certificate of a full scholarship for College from the Ministry of Education was included.

A scholarship that would enable him to choose from any Colleges within the country, including the prestigious ones, free from any monetary fees.

Having a dream of being a successful businessman and currently an aspiring entrepreneur, he narrowed down the schools that focus on producing business tycoons.

After considering all the things he needed to consider and due to his reluctance of leaving to a faraway place, this brought him to the White Cloud City Business College.

A prestigious College located in the Western part of the White Cloud City, just a few miles away from the Village.

“Well, Mr. Qiang… I’m sorry but this order was from the Higher-ups of the Ministry of Education. And since today is the opening of the semester, all the faculty and staff don’t have the time to entertain you. So, please leave at once.”, said the middle-aged man

Jaden was wide-eyed at the moment upon hearing these words and couldn’t help but think ‘What’s going on!? Is my scholarship fake!? What the hell is happening!?’

Jaden was totally confused and frustrated at the moment. He couldn’t help but think that the Scholarship he received was just bogus after all.

In his hand was the genuine certificate of scholarship he got when he graduated his senior year in middle school.

The day before he came to the office where he is currently, he went to the faculty administrator’s office and submitted a copy of the scholarship certificate along with the other papers.

He was expecting and was quite excited since the day before to begin his College life. His first step towards his goal.

But unexpectedly, he was called to the administration’s office and was informed about the scholarship’s revocation.

He was racking his brains out trying to think where did it all go wrong. And what’s more, the order itself came from up top.

‘Did I offend someone?’, he thought.

He was currently feeling desperate and was anxiously thinking about what should he do until…

“Sir, is this about what happened yesterday? Is Mr. Shi behind this?”, Jaden asked with bloodshot eyes. Due to anxiety and grief, a little bit more and maybe drops of tears would soon be flowing from his eyes.

The only thing he could think of why all of this happened was because of the incident from yesterday after he submitted his papers to the admin’s office.

After submitting his papers, Jaden decided to take the remaining of his time to take a stroll inside the school. And since he’ll be studying there for years from now on, he decided to get familiarized.

He was just wandering around the campus when he suddenly heard a feminine scream for help followed by a faint sobbing coming from one of the classrooms.

Being an upright person with a strong sense of justice, he immediately ran towards where he heard the sound.

As soon as he got close enough, the sound was getting more intense. And from what he had heard, it turns out that a man was forcing himself on a female professor.

He could still hear the female professor pleading and would occasionally scream hoping for someone to hear her.

Jaden attempted to sneak a peek at what was happening inside but found out that the windows were tightly closed.

When he tried to twist the door know, he also found out that it was locked from the inside.

He was still wondering how he could open it when he heard the female professor’s voice was getting more distressed followed by a tearing sound.

Left with no other choice, Jaden tried to kick the door open. The loud banging sounds immediately attracted the attention of the people inside.
