Introduction
Sheldon promised her mother before her death that she would stop sleeping with men for money. But this promise can hardly be kept when her savings ran out. She went back to her job and on that very night, her client's son caught them in the act. She ran away in fear to avoid the clash. A week later, the client's son, Denzel came looking for her with an offer she dare not refuse — she should marry him to spite his father. Sheldon accepted because it involved a lot of money but the arrangement is more interesting than she thought when she gets to meet the man's family and play along with the scheme. The couple wasn't fully prepared for what is to come.

SHELDON

I belong to the department of short girls. It usually doesn't bother me until tonight whereby I'm sitting among other college ladies.

They're all putting on heels, wearing lit dresses that could make men shiver, and gorgeous wigs that possibly cost my entire yearly saving. I am completely intimidated but I didn't understand why they look nice.

I was thinking they would be bitchy towards someone they don't know.

Their smile was heartwarming, the way the oldest patted my hair made me want to melt, and the soft chuckle they made when someone cracked a joke was just wholesome.

It made me feel like there's nothing wrong with showing up at a strip club wearing long sleeves and baggy jeans.

I'm a total mess.

No one can convince me otherwise.

And for the fact I am not putting on makeup, proves that I should be dumped in the trash for being so ignorant.

I'm yet to fully settle because I can't stop anticipating my cousin, Winter to show up. She was the last person I wanted to turn to while being broke but unfortunately, I ended up having no choice.

I might say I had a series of other choices whereby I didn't like any of them. I had to hit the road for something more rewarding and quick.

The door opened swiftly and an awkward silence surrounded the room. The girls have their eyes on my cousin and three of them were already making a move to meet her.

I yank myself up too, hoping I'll get in line to enter her office next since she's got a lot of guests.

Sneakily aiming for the empty couch, I feel a ray of hope reflect across my eyes when she beckoned on me to come forward.

Just to be sure, I touched my chest in question if she was really asking for me.

"Yes, you." She concurred with a hooded gaze.

For the first time in forever, I felt so proud to be related to her. Winter is one of those people who would throw a party a day after I die.

I excitedly scuttled to her and she led me into her office. It was satisfying to hear the door jam behind us, shutting out the prattling of the others.

"You could have just called me." She grunted folding her arms.

"Your phone was switched off, I had no way else to contact you," I replied, taking a seat even without her offering one.

"Oh, right. I'm too busy to argue with impatient men so I turned it off." Her eyes scoured over me. "What the hell are you wearing?" She chortled.

I smiled, stealing a glance at my outfit. "It's a cold night."

Lying to Winter was a waste of time. I knew she had an idea of what was going on in my mind. I couldn't leave campus wearing fuck me clothes. I was too worried about what people would say.

Winter only glared at me as she picked up a key.

"I already have a dress picked out for you and your chauffeur will be arriving in ten minutes. Once you're done, you find your way home. I'll transfer the money to your account before you even wake up tomorrow."

The hair on my skin rise and I was starting to imagine a chunk of cash sitting in my account.

That's like Christmas in August.

"Who's the client? Is it someone I've met before?" I questioned staring at her stunning face with my huge eyes.

"When you meet him, you'll find out. I'm sure you'll be happy to see him." She replied snapping her fingers. That was a sign that this conversation was over.

Awesome.

I accepted the key from her hand.

"Um...Sheldon, I'm sorry about your mom's passing. I hope you got my flowers." She suddenly said making me pause.

"I did, thanks." I whispered before walking to her closet. In there, I found a green dress with shiny stones attached all over it.

Now, this is the Winter I know. The one who's ready to drag my name in the mud.

The dress was simply hideous. I blame myself for not grabbing something better from my wardrobe.

Later, the taxi stopped in front of the hotel and I stepped out of the ride.

It's a five-star hotel and the environment is addictive to look at. There are so many elegantly dressed people hanging around the lobby. The receptionist handed me the key to the booked room and I made it to the elevator.

I reached the floor before stepping out from it. It didn't take me a second before I spot the door to the booked room. I went in after using the key.

As I heard the shower running, I go over the things in my purse. I have protection in case he doesn't have any, there's pepper spray which I have for freaks, there's some gum to chew when I can't fall asleep, and finally, fresh underwear.

It's been weeks since I had myself wrapped under the sheets with someone. I figured if I'll be doing it again tonight, I needed to be ready.

I unzipped the dress with the help of the mirror and that was when I noticed the quiet atmosphere.

Checking behind me, I found the bathroom door open and a completely naked Mr. Morgan gazing at me with his shoulder leaning on the wood line.

My shock is overthrown by my curiosity about how it happened to be him tonight.

How he knew I'd be the one.

I'm worried that Winter intentionally did this. I can't let that stop me from doing my work anyway.

"Sheldon, it's good to see you again." He remarked before walking toward me.

I knew I'm in for it.

I can never escape him, can I?

'He's the tough type.' That was the first sentence that came to my mind the day I first met Mr. Morgan.

And then I got to understand why my mind said so. He's a hard-driven, cocky rich man in his early sixties. Had so many rules that I'm meant to keep note of and I don't hesitate to do so because he was very generous with giving out checks.

I barely know a thing about his family but I think that makes my job easier. I won't have to feel pity on anyone because to me, he's available.

He dropped his hands on my shoulder and after a good squeeze, he helped make the dress go down my waistline.

"Today's going to be my last night cheating." He croaked.

He always says that but I still see him coming back for more nights.

But I decided to play along;

"If that's true, then today's going to be my last night whoring around."

He scoffed, tilting his head. "You're not a whore, Sheldon."

That doesn't sound like the best way to mollify how I feel about myself but I shrugged it off.

He carried me into his arms and took us to the bed. My back rested on the duvet first before the rest of us followed, feeling like I was sinking under his weight. Being the tough man he is, he doesn't go easy, to begin with, and his smooching on my skin is like a harsh squeeze.

I closed my eyes so I can let him do what he wants without me monitoring.

He sheeted himself with protection before coming back to lying on top of me. I brace myself to get hammered till he's contented. I suddenly don't feel him anywhere after a few seconds and when I opened my eyes, I found him resting on his elbow on the other side of the bed looking frightened.

I trace where his stare is and I gasped seeing a stranger standing close to the bed. I would assume he was here to rob us except for the fact he had a livid expression on his face like he was here for someone. His tightened jaw instantly reminds me of someone familiar.

I'm so shocked that I'm unable to cover my exposed body with the duvet.

Meanwhile, his focus has been on Mr. Morgan the whole time. I wasn't existing between these two men right now.

And the look that passed on from the stranger was crazy insane — like he wanted to drill a hole in the man's face.
