"Today is the third year of our marriage. Why hasn't he come back yet..."

Emmalyn prepared a large table of dishes and waited for Zachary to come back with expectation. Suddenly, footsteps came from outside the door. She curled her lips slightly and looked up, but her smile froze in her eyes.

Zachary came back, followed by a familiar woman... It was Alice, this shameless mistress!

They had been married for three years, and Zachary had neglected her for three years.

On the night when he was not at home, she always received ambiguous photos and demonstration messages from Alice.

She was reminded all the time that the marriage she forced was just a joke.

"Oh, Emmalyn has cooked a lot of dishes!"

Alice snuggled up to Zachary, covered her mouth, and said with a smile, "I'm really sorry to disturb you. Emmalyn is so awesome! I don't know how to cook. Zachary dotes on my poor health and doesn't allow me to go into the kitchen."

Emmalyn pursed her lips tightly, and there was a trace of sadness in her eyes.

Alice kept reminding him that Zachary was so considerate to her that it seemed that he could only accommodate her in his heart.

"So..." Emmalyn looked at her indifferently and said coldly, "Now can the mistress be admitted directly?"

Hearing this, Alice immediately felt wronged and her eyes turned red. "Emmalyn, what are you talking about? You misunderstood me. Zachary and I are not the kind of relationship you think we have..."

"The doctor told me to eat better. I heard that Emmalyn is good at cooking, so I begged Zachary to take me home for a meal. Please don't be angry..."

"Miss Houghton, please don't try to get in touch with me."

Emmalyn's face was cold, but the hands behind her had already clenched into fists. "I don't have any sisters, and we are not familiar with each other, so I hope you can call me politely. Also... my meal was made for my husband, and I don't have any spare time."

"What are you doing?" Hearing this, Zachary frowned. "Emmalyn, it's just a meal. Why do you have to say such terrible words? Is this how you treat your guests?"

"Yes!" On the upstairs, Zachary's sister, Nicole, also came out when she heard the voice. Her face was full of impatience.

"You've been married for so long, but you're still so ill-bred! Didn't you come to our house just to serve us? What's the point of serving one more person? You're so pretentious!"

"What's more, if you hadn't played a trick, I would have married my brother 800 years ago. How could you call me master here?"

Nicole sat down at the dining table and smiled at Alice. "Alice, come on, sit here."

At a table, Nicole and Alice were chatting happily.

Both she and Zachary hated each other and didn't know what to say.

A cell phone rang. After Zachary answered the phone, he looked a little gloomy. "Emmalyn, take care of your family. I'm going to the company to deal with some work. I won't come back at night."

Zachary left in a hurry.

Only the three of them were left at the dining table. Emmalyn lost her appetite and said lightly, "Take your time. I'm full."

After that, she packed up the bowls and chopsticks, turned around, and walked up the stairs.

Below, Alice said with a bitter face, "Nicole, is Emmalyn angry with me? It's all my fault..."

"Oh, she's just like that. Don't talk to her..."

Emmalyn went back to her room. After closing the door of the bedroom, she collapsed on the bed.

She couldn't help recalling what had happened in the past three years.

The first time she met Zachary was in school. She saw Zachary who was giving a speech for ten thousand years.

Since then, she had been thinking about marrying him.

But after she really became his wife, she knew how difficult it was to maintain a good marriage.

Zachary was very gentle, but he had never been gentle to her.

Zachary was very powerful, but he never protected her.

In order to be with him well, she let go of all her pride and worked as an ox in the Mitchell family. She took care of her parents and took care of all the household chores in the Mitchell family.

His mother and sister had made things difficult for her countless times. She had always gritted her teeth and bore it. She had never put him in a difficult position.

She always felt that as long as she was thoughtful, as long as she was attentive, there would be a day when Zachary would see her good.

She always thought that he would appreciate her efforts and began to care about her feelings.

But he didn't.

She had been waiting for them to get married on the third day of their marriage, so she had brought her mistress with her.

She crushed her love to pieces on the ground.

"Thump thump thump!"

There was a knock on the door.

Emmalyn got up and opened the door. She looked at Alice's pretended pitiful and aggrieved face again. "Emmalyn, is today the anniversary of your marriage with Zachary? I'm sorry, it's my fault. I didn't know that I disturbed you..."

"That's enough."

Emmalyn looked at her coldly and said directly, "Since Zachary is not here, you don't have to pretend. Just say it."
