Introduction
**Prologue* After the tragic loss of her parents, Hazel's once-glamorous life as a wealthy heiress crumbled overnight. The family's inheritance, which should have secured her future, was seized by her cunning uncle. Stripped of her fortune, Hazel was left to fend for herself in a world that had turned cold and unkind. In her desperation, she was forced into marriage with Michael, one of the family's former bodyguards. Handsome but impoverished, Michael was known for his fierce temperament and ruthless demeanor. He treated Hazel with icy indifference, his arrogance cutting deeper than any words. Each day, Hazel endured the sneers of those who once envied her and the humiliating advances of women attempting to seduce her husband. Determined to rise above her circumstances, Hazel worked tirelessly to rebuild her life. But just as she began to find her footing, an unsettling discovery turned her world upside down. Lucas Donovan, the enigmatic heir of the Donovan family empire in Sky City—a dynasty worth billions—bore an uncanny resemblance to her husband. The resemblance was so striking that Hazel couldn’t ignore the gnawing suspicion. “Darling,” she asked cautiously, “are you related to Lucas Donovan?” Michael’s expression didn’t flicker. With his trademark arrogance, he replied, “I have nothing to do with that man. Look at me, wife. Don’t waste your time comparing me to some petty boy.” Yet the truth seemed closer than Michael let on. One evening, the Donovan family butler, overwhelmed with emotion, confided in Hazel: “Young Master Donovan is no ordinary man. He is both cruel and brilliant. His jealousy is as intense as his wrath, and his temper spares no one—not even me.” Haunted by the revelation and fueled by curiosity, Hazel began to uncover fragments of the truth. As she pieced them together, she realized that Michael’s connection to the Donovan family ran deeper than she could have imagined.

Chapter 1

Hazel was wearing a black raincoat and hurriedly walked into a hotel, head down and pulling her rain hat to cover her face as several people walked towards her.

As they passed, they chatted, "Have you heard? Hazel, the heiress of the Martinez Family, got married today and actually married a rough servant."

"The Martinez Family's daughter is beautiful and noble, why did she marry so lowly?"

"Who let her parents die last year? Now her second uncle is in charge, and her position in the Martinez Family is lower than that of a servant. Anyone can abuse her."

Hazel listened quietly, her eyelashes drooping and her eyes calm.

Since her parents died a year ago and her grandmother and second uncle took all the inheritance left by her parents, she was no longer the heiress of the family.

Now her second uncle forced her to marry a bodyguard from the Martinez Family, otherwise her parents would not be buried in the ancestral tomb, and she had no choice but to obey.

The crowd walked away.

Hazel finally arrived at a room and knocked twice.

The door opened.

A man walked out anxiously. Hazel entered the room and then reached out her hand, "Ryan, you called me here and said you wanted to give me my father's heirloom. Where is it?"

Ryan hesitated for a moment, "Hazel, you got married today and I am your ex-boyfriend. I have something to tell you, so I made up this excuse."

Hazel lowered her head and turned to leave.

Behind her, she heard Ryan gritting his teeth.

"Hazel, elope with me!"

Hazel was taken aback and turned around in surprise.

"The Martinez Family is marrying you off to a servant! It's a disgrace to you! Don't get married, come with me!" Ryan clenched his fists and spoke through gritted teeth.

Hazel hesitated for a moment and spoke softly, "You proposed to my cousin last week. Now you want to elope with me? Aren't you getting married?"

As soon as she finished speaking, a hint of embarrassment flashed across Ryan's handsome face.

"Of course, I'm getting married. I just want you to move into my house in the neighboring city. I can take care of you."

Hazel furrowed her brows slightly, "You want me to be your mistress?"

Ryan pushed up his glasses and remained composed, "In ancient times, men had three or four wives and concubines. After I get married, it's not too much to have one more woman. I am sincere to you, it's just a matter of status. You don't mind, do you?"

Hazel bit her lip lightly.

He really had the nerve to ask her to be his mistress.

She dug her nails into her palms without showing any emotion.

"Well, tell me your specific requirements, and I'll consider it."

Perhaps not sensing the sarcasm in her tone, Ryan became excited, "It's actually very simple. You don't have to work, just accompany me. Don't call me during regular hours, so my wife won't find out. If I need you, I'll come to you for the night."

"What if I get pregnant?"

"Of course, you'll have an abortion. It's not a big deal. You can do it alone, and I'll pay for it. By the way, I don't like using condoms. You should take pills."

He paused for a moment and added, "If you give birth to a son for me, that's fine. But if it's a daughter, you'll have to get rid of it."

Hazel couldn't bear to listen any longer and turned to leave.

She was only being sarcastic, but he took it seriously.

As Hazel was about to leave, Ryan's face changed, and he grabbed her arm. "Hazel, you would rather marry a poor man than be with me?"

"Let me go!" Hazel angrily pushed him away. "Even if my husband Micheal has nothing, at least he is willing to give me a status. He's not as shameless as you, having a fiancée but still cheating outside!"

Ryan was caught off guard by the slap and his handsome face twisted in anger. "Ryan, you're really cheap! You're taking his side, and you've slept with him, haven't you?!"

"No, I haven't! You're shameless!" Ryan was so angry that she trembled all over and ran away.

But as she took a step, her arm was pulled back heavily. She lost her balance and fell onto the bed, looking up in horror. "What are you doing?"

Ryan stood in front of the bed and loosened his tie, his face twisted in a grimace. "Hazel, you used to be a rich girl, and I let you have your way. I never even held your hand. But now things are different. If you want to marry someone else, you have to give yourself to me first. Let me sleep with you."

Hazel was filled with shame and anger, struggling desperately. "Ryan, you can't touch me! I have a husband!"

"Your husband? Michael is just a dog raised by the Martinez Family. He's my subordinate, and he wouldn't dare to go against me."

Ryan sneered, pulling off his tie and grabbing Hazel's collar. He lowered his head and asked, "Tell me, has Micheal ever touched you? I don't play with dirty women."

Hazel was humiliated and her eyes turned red. She kicked him with all her might.

She shouldn't have trusted Ryan and come to the hotel to get her father's heirloom. She didn't expect him to deceive her and try to take away her innocence. Ryan knew very well that she was getting married today and if she didn't return tonight, how would she face Micheal and tomorrow?

Hazel struggled in anger and grabbed the bedside lamp in a panic, ready to smash it down. Suddenly, there was a slow and steady sound of leather shoes outside the door. Hazel's heart tightened and she panicked. Who could it be?

Ryan also heard the footsteps and shouted without looking back, "Didn't I tell you to wait downstairs and stop Micheal? Get out of here!"

At this moment, a low and cold voice sounded in the room. "They can't stop him. Why don't we let President Wood try?"

Ryan trembled all over and froze on the spot. Hazel took the opportunity to push him away and looked up in a panic. At the door stood a man in a pure black suit, wearing black gloves on his right hand, and his tie was perfectly tied. He was tall, 1.9 meters in height, with distinct facial features and stunning beauty. He exuded a pure masculine and cold temperament, and his eyes were deep and black, with a hint of coldness.

With his arrival, the room was suddenly filled with an invisible pressure, making it hard to breathe.
