Introduction
He's a tycoon formidable enough to rival nations, the ruthless and cold-hearted CEO of the Empire. Despite his usual demeanor, he holds deep affection for her, spoiling her to the core. Whoever dares to scold or tease you, without a moment's hesitation, he swings and flings out his knives, swift as lightning. She warned him, "Don't claim that you know me; don't be ostentatious, stealing kisses in a live broadcast; don't appear publicly with me!" Yet, he repeatedly breaks these promises, "Every day we sleep together, yet you claim we don't know each other? Now that the lights have dimmed, I want a live broadcast of us kissing." Her petite body couldn't withstand the nightly pressures and she smoothly made her escape, not realizing a tiny life has already started growing in her belly...

"Who sent you?" A cold, profound growl seemed to echo from the annals of time, suddenly ringing in her ears and causing them to hum.

A sudden shiver ran through her. Startled, Mo Qingchu was lying there trembling from head to toe, just sobering up from the previous night's alcohol.

At that moment, a faintly strong smell of blood mixed with a hint of distant fragrance rapidly intertwined and intensely stimulated her entire body's sensitive nerves.

She suddenly realized something and parted her parched lips. "You... who are you?" she said, somewhat confused and mostly frightened.

The smell of blood?

A man's growl?

She lay straight on the bed, hands tightly clenched into fists.

Although she couldn't see anything in the pitch blackness, she guessed the man was leaning over, staring at her.

Suddenly, a gust of frigid air rushed towards her face, in an instant engulfing her and filling the surroundings, forcing her to encircle her arms over her chest to resist the bone-piercing chill.

Only then did Mo Qingchu realize that there was not a stitch of clothing on her body...

At that moment, there was a burst of frantic knocking on the door by her ears, each knock more urgent than the last, like a rain of fists crazily pounding on the door.

Thump, thump, thump!

All of a sudden, the chill at her neck vanished.

Mo Qingchu heard the man getting off the bed and cautiously followed the sound with her eyes. The bathroom light was turned on, casting an orange glow.

In a pool of molten gold color, a tall, burly figure walked through the golden light and vanished in the blink of an eye. The bathroom door was shut with a resounding snap.

Her body cold, she hurriedly pulls the blanket over herself with both hands.

When the knocking on the door becomes increasingly frantic, Mo Qingchu gets a very bad feeling, as if she's been caught in the act. She raises her hand and finds it feels numb, like she's been drugged...

What on earth is going on?

Just last night, she was forced by her father to have drinks with Chairman Zhang. She left halfway through. How did she end up here?

Without time to ponder, she manages to put on her clothes. With light, uncertain steps, she nervously arrives at the entrance hall.

Just as she was about to remind the man who had entered the restroom, she finds the door to the room cracked open with a click.

A crowd streams in one after the other, the room fully lit up as if it is daylight.

Mo Qingchu does not have time to react when her eyes are blinded by the flash of numerous cameras, and she's forced to close her eyes.

"Oh, isn't this the daughter of Governor Mo? Behaving so scandalously?"

When she opened her eyes again, she found herself completely surrounded by reporters, their cameras slung over their shoulders, like a clown performing a one-man show.

"Where's the old man?"

"Let's find him, such a shameless pair!"

Mo Qingchu's face turns ashen, her fists clenched, her lips trembling. Is this a sting operation?

"What are you doing?"

What is going on? How did these reporters know she's here?

And who is that man?

Suddenly, she remembered the man was still in the bathroom!

Panic and terror grasped her throat like a demon that kills without spilling blood, leaving her speechless.

She bit her lip corner desperately, and just as blood seeped out from the corner of her mouth, a group of reporters were whispering: "Why haven't we found Mr. JIAN?"

Achieving nothing, the group of reporters left dejectedly.

Once again, an oppressive silence fell.

In the empty house, only Mo Qingchu was left, standing alone under the colorful crystal chandelier with bare, white feet. Her face was as pale as a wandering spirit.

Her body swayed slightly, but her eyes were fixed dead on the slightly ajar bathroom door, as if intending to pry a crack open to see where he was.

Why was no one there?

Impossible!

There's only a shower and a basin in the bathroom! Nothing else?

Could it be that, that man could burrow into the ground and rise through the ceiling?
