When the golden sunshine silently went through the curtain to the bed, Xian Anan opened her deep black eyes.
She rubbed her misty eyes and slowly straightened up. She left the bed without wearing the shoes. She just stepped on the wooden floor and went to the window leisurely.
After drawing the curtain aside, Xia Anan cozily stretched.
Out of the window, the birds were singing and flowers were giving forth their fragrance. The golden sun gradually rose from the horizon.
“Another new day. Fighting, Xia Anan!” Xia Anan opened her mouth and murmured to several birds which were staying at the window.
Those birds seemed to understand her words. They all chirped and twittered.
Xia Anan was really in a good mood after watching those birds twittering. She turned around, wore the slipper and went downstairs.
She packed up for a while and went out of the room.
She looked back. This old house was tumbledown, but it gave her infinite warmth.
Xia Anan smiled. She went to the corner of the wall, pushing a rusted bicycle.
The she ran into Mrs. Wang who was carrying a basket.
“Good morning, Mrs. Wang.” Xia Anan sat straddling her bicycle and carried her back bag.
“Anan, are you going to send the breakfast milk?” Mrs. Wang looked at Xia Anan with worry.
Xia Anan was really adorable. Her parents died in a car accident. She grew up with the help of the neighbors. As one of her neighbors, Mrs. Wang witnessed her growth. Xia Anan was strong—willed and independent. All the neighbors felt pity for her.
“Yes, Mrs. Wang. Time is up. I need to go. Goodbye.” Xian Anan waved her hands to Mrs. Wang and rode her bicycle away. She gradually disappeared from Mrs. Wang’s sight.
Xia Anan tied the baskets of mild at the back of her bicycle, and sent the milk to every family. It was 7:30am after she finished her work.
“Come here, Anan. This is your salary for today’s work.” The boss saw Xia Anan moving down the empty baskets from her bicycle, and then handed a few hundred yuan bills to her with a smile.
“Thank you, uncle Huang.” Xia Anan smiled to him.
Though the salary here was not very high, this job was a daily settlement. So, she was satisfied with that.
Xia Anan watched the electronic watch when she was riding. Now it was 7:40am. Only 10 minutes left, otherwise she would be late.
Xia Anan rode to the alley. She smiled while she saw the exit which was not far away from her.
But at this time, several hooligans with colorful hair entered in the alley from that exit. Xia Anan hurriedly wheeled the hand brake and she glared at those hooligans because they got in the way.
“Go away.” Xia Anan said reasonably.
Those hooligans just finished their drinking and returned. They didn’t notice that there was a person in such a dirty alley. Moreover, they thought Xia Anan was good—looking after they heard her voice.
