Montclair Private Hospital, the most prestigious medical facility in Deer City.

In the delivery room, Iris, after carrying her baby for ten months, was finally going into labor.

"Quick! The baby's in a breech position, we need an emergency C-section!"

"What now? The mother's hemorrhaging! Surgery can't wait - we might lose both of them if we delay! Has Mr. Montclair arrived? Someone get him now!"

"He's here! Mr. Montclair has arrived!"

The pain was unbearable!

Starting from her tailbone and spreading through her entire body, Iris felt like she was being crushed by a massive weight.

She had no strength left.

But when she heard Orion's name, a tiny spark of hope flickered in her dark world of pain and despair.

Since their wedding, Orion had kept his distance, unhappy with their arranged marriage.

Now that she was in labor, he'd finally shown up!

Iris, with tears in her eyes, bit her lip hard and tried to lift her head. "Orion... our baby... Kelsey? What are you doing here?"

Through her blurry vision, she saw Kelsey standing there in a dazzling designer dress, wearing a smug smile of triumph.

Click-clacking in her heels, Kelsey approached the bed. The ruby necklace around her throat caught Iris's attention painfully.

Iris couldn't understand why her long-lost necklace was now adorning Kelsey's neck.

But before she could think further, Kelsey leaned in close and whispered, "Oh Iris, did you really think the baby you're carrying is Orion's?"

Those mocking words turned Iris's blood to ice.

"What do you mean?"

"Let me share a juicy secret with you - the man who slept with you that night wasn't Orion at all! You know what? I personally planned your drunk episode just to get you into another man's bed. How's that for destroying your life? A woman who betrays the Montclair family by having another man's child doesn't deserve to be their daughter-in-law. And you claim to have loved Orion for ten years? Yet you couldn't even recognize his voice or body?"

Cold sweat trickled down Iris's face.

Iris shook her head in despair, "No, that's impossible..."

But that night's encounter... The man had been more muscular than Orion. She'd dismissed it as her drunk imagination, or maybe because she hadn't seen Orion as an adult...

The truth hit her like a ton of bricks.

Between the bone-chilling cold and labor contractions, she could barely move.

"Why would you do this to me?!" Tears of blood rolled down her cheeks.

"Why? Because I'm the real LeBlanc heiress! I should've been the one to marry Orion! You're nothing but a fake who stole twenty years of my life and my rightful place as Mrs. Montclair. Now that I'm back, everything should return to me!"

"That old lady at the Montclair house just had to favor you! She wouldn't let Orion divorce you! But now, with everyone knowing your baby isn't a Montclair, and those viral photos of your scandal with random men... Guess what? That old woman at Montclair mansion collapsed from rage!"

"You know how Orion can't stand betrayal. What do you think he'll do to you now?"

Iris tried to get up from the delivery bed in fury, "Kelsey!"

If she weren't bleeding out and nearly unconscious from this difficult labor, she would've torn Kelsey apart!

She never meant to steal Kelsey's life.

Their switched lives - she was a victim too, only discovering the truth a year ago.

In the past, she had always thought she was Kelsey, the young mistress of the LeBlanc family. The LeBlanc and Montclair families had arranged their marriage long ago. Despite Orion's dissatisfaction with the marriage, she still chose to marry him without hesitation.

But after marriage, she discovered a shocking truth - she wasn't the real LeBlanc heiress. The real Kelsey, their biological daughter, had returned.

She had mentally prepared herself to give up her position as Mrs. Montclair to Kelsey whenever needed.

What she never expected was that Kelsey would plot against her in such a cruel way.

At this moment, her whole world came crashing down.

The pain was unbearable. Just as she reached out her hand, she was violently shoved away!

Her heavy body tumbled off the bed in a messy heap.

As her belly hit the ground hard, Iris's vision went dark, and she coughed up a mouthful of blood.

"Iris! What are you doing!"

A deep, ice-cold voice filled with rage cut through the air!

It was Orion!

He had arrived!

The operating room doors burst open as Orion strode in, dressed in an elegant black suit, surrounded by bodyguards.

His sculpted features were hidden in shadows. Though impeccably dressed, he appeared like a creature of darkness, holding the power of life and death over her.

Iris clung to her last breath, writhing in agony.

She struggled to look up, only to see Orion rush to protect Kelsey, pulling her possessively into his embrace.

He didn't even spare a glance at her blood-covered form.

Kelsey's fragile voice echoed through the delivery room, "Brother Orion, don't blame Sister Iris... She couldn't have done what the rumors online say. She loves you so much - you must believe in her!"

These words of comfort only fueled Orion's rage!

He tenderly comforted the woman in his arms, "It's alright, you should go outside! Leave this to me!"

After speaking, he handed Kelsey over to his assistant to escort out.

Only then did Orion take slow, measured steps toward Iris.

Iris clutched the hem of his pants with her weak, cold fingers. Her voice trembled as she pleaded, "Orion... I didn't... Kelsey is behind this..."

She had never meant to betray him.

But Orion coldly shook off her hand, his eyes filled with nothing but deep disappointment. "Even now, you're still making excuses? How dare you try to blame Kelsey!"

Looking down at her with contempt, he ordered, "Get those bastard children out of her now! I want a DNA test!"

In that moment, Iris felt her world shatter.

"No, please don't!"

She tried desperately to resist, but every movement sent excruciating pain through her abdomen.

Blood flowed unstoppably as she lay there helplessly, watching the doctors cut open her belly.

Her consciousness started fading.

The pain had become numb.

But her mind was flooded with memories of everything she'd done for Orion over the past decade...

She'd saved his life with her own blood on that snowy night, fallen in love at first sight with that handsome young man on the sports field, given up everything just to stay by his side...

She'd endured criticism to marry him, tried her best to make amends with the LeBlanc family and Kelsey!

But what did it all amount to?

The LeBlancs resented her for taking twenty years of Kelsey's life, Orion blamed her for stealing Kelsey's position as the Montclair family's wife, and Kelsey - the one she felt most guilty towards - had schemed against her!

Yet what had she done wrong?

She didn't even know who that man was that night!

"The babies are here! It's twins!"

"Mr. Montclair! The DNA results are in! The children... they're not yours!"

Rage blazed in Orion's narrow eyes.

He threw the DNA results at Iris's pale face, along with divorce papers!

"Get rid of this woman and her bastard child! Dump them in the trash! She's no longer the Montclair mistress! I can't even look at her without feeling disgusted!"

"Make sure everyone knows - anyone who helps her is against the entire Montclair family!"

Iris tried to fight back, but her voice failed her completely. She desperately wanted to open her eyes to see her baby one last time, but her eyelids felt like lead weights.

The freezing rain pelted down as they tossed her broken body outside like garbage. Through her fading consciousness, she caught a glimpse of Kelsey's smug, triumphant smile.

Then suddenly -

The sound of footsteps crunching through fallen leaves broke through the darkness. Someone with bloodshot eyes lifted her carefully from the ground. "I'm so sorry, Boss. I failed to get here in time!"
