Auckven, Melnyfield

"Hello, the number you've dialed is temporarily unavailable, please..."

Listening to the prompt tone from the phone, Alicia Davies felt unhappy. She was getting engaged tomorrow, what was Andrew Watts doing?

Stepping out of the taxi, Alicia, carrying a bag of fruit, walked towards Andrew's apartment.

Using the spare key that Andrew once gave her, Alicia opened the door and was about to change shoes in the hallway when she saw a pair of bright red high heels and black stockings tossed on the floor.

Alicia was a little dazed for a moment, not yet able to react to the situation, when she heard sounds coming from the bedroom.

Stepping towards the bedroom, she pushed open the door and froze at the sight she was greeted with.

"Andrew, Lexie Nicholson, how... how could you... How could you do this to me?” Alicia was too furious to articulate her words.

One was her boyfriend whom she had loved for three years since college, with whom she was supposed to get engaged tomorrow. The other was her stepmother's niece, also her college roommate; they were actually....

Andrew calmly put on a bathrobe while Lexie used the quilt to cover herself, revealing only a charming face.

"Alicia, why are you acting so surprised? We've been together for a few months now. You bumped into us today, consider yourself lucky. As for tomorrow's engagement ceremony, I'll be the fiancee!" Lexie didn't have to hide anymore, directly confronting Alicia.

"You-" Alicia, looking at Lexie's nonchalant demeanor, didn't know what to say. She shifted her gaze to Andrew, "Andrew, we've been together for three years. Was our relationship all a lie? Why are you treating me like this? Why?"

The last three words were almost roared in repressed anger by Alicia, she really couldn't accept, couldn't accept this reality.

"Alicia, who gave you the right to shout at me? Yes, we were together for three years, but apart from holding your hand, what else have you given me?" Andrew began to get angry, staring at Alicia with fury in his eyes, one hand pointing at Lexie, "Lexie gave me her all, I am happy with her."

"Heh, happy?" Alicia let out a bitter laugh.

"Yes!" Andrew emphasized again, slowly approaching Alicia, his facial expression utterly distorted by now, "You're just a traditional woman. Lexie is a charming woman. The woman I want as my future wife should be like Lexie. Alicia, you're unworthy!"

The affirmation in Andrew's words was perceived as mockery by Alicia, but in Lexie's ears, it was praise and acknowledgement.

"Tsk tsk, Alicia, perhaps you should take a good look at yourself. Flat-chested, no curve to your back, a plain country bumpkin. And you aspire to marry the noble Mr. Watts? I'm telling you, I'm the one who's going to become Mrs. Watts." Lexie venomously spat out, her eyes, still somewhat blurry after the exercise, now even more cold and malicious.

"You... doing such things... will receive retribution." Alicia broke into tears, throwing the bag of fruit she had in her hands onto the ground and running away.

...

In the bar, Alicia was drinking alone, pouring down glass after glass, the alcohol numbing her nerves. But compared to the pain in her heart, what were these alcohol-induced tingles?

"Andrew, you're a total jerk."

"Lexie, why are you treating me this way?"

"Hehe, I, Alicia, am a joke, a huge joke..."

The wild rhythm of the DJ's music still echoed in Alicia's ears. She felt nausea creeping up and immediately covered her mouth, rushing to the restroom.

However, before she could reach the restroom door, Alicia bumped into what seemed like a wall of muscle.

"Why are you in the way? Move!" An impatient Alicia tried to push past the figure blocking her path, only to have her hands grasped by a large hand.

"It's you?" Sean Watts stood still, looking at Alicia, the surprise in his eyes was palpable.

"Oh, it's Andrew's big brother. Let me tell you. Andrew has betrayed me and is now with my college roommate, Lexie. I saw it with my own eyes." Under the spell of alcohol, Alicia disregarded the cold air Sean emanated and continued, "Your brother Andrew is a bas-..."

Before she could finish her sentence, with a retching sound, Alicia couldn't hold back and ended up vomiting directly onto Sean's high-end suit.

Sean's face had been completely dark, the damned woman, he had never been so embarrassed.

Alicia vented, feeling much better, and sighed in relief. "Um, I'll wash for you..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Sean directly grabbed her arm and headed towards the emergency exit.

He took out his phone with his other hand and dialed the assistant's number, "Book the presidential suite at the Rhine Hotel, prepare a set of clothes."

"Yes." The assistant responded and then left.

Sean shoved Alicia into the car and got in himself, staring out the window with a gloomy gaze.

Since Andrew did something to her that was regrettable, whatever he did next would be justifiable.

At the Rhine Hotel, as soon as a Rolls-Royce Phantom stopped in front of the door, the hotel manager proactively came out to greet them.

"Mr. Watts, the room you requested is ready," said the manager, handing the room card to Sean.

In the presidential suite, Sean was looking at Alicia who was lying on the bed, emanating a sense of intoxication, and he had been suppressing a burning desire within him.

Ten years ago, at Melnyfield Marquis Middle School, I remembered you, Alicia from grade 8, class 3. But, ten years later when I returned to the country, at Watts family, you stood next to Andrew which made me remember you again, and so, I will not let you go.

...

In the morning, the sun seeped in through the gaps of the curtains, Alicia lazily rubbed her blurry eyes and slowly opened them.

Looking at the unfamiliar ceiling and then looking around, she was completely unrecognized.

Feeling a gaze focused on her, Alicia slightly lifted her head and met Sean's eyes.

"Awake?" Sean asked.

"Mr. Watts....." Alicia, a bit anxious, was about to rise when she felt a wave of debilitating pain course through her body.

Staring blankly at the ceiling, Alicia tried to recall the events of last night. Despite her intoxication, she vaguely remembered some bits.

Once she managed to piece things together, Alicia's expression finally changed, "Why did you do this to me?"

"It seems you recall." Sean got up, gradually closing the gap between them. He was certain that it had been her first time last night.

Gripping the quilt tightly, Alicia bore into Sean's eyes. Never had she imagined that she would be involved with this God-like man. Yet, everything that happened last night made her head explode in an instant.

"Since you've already become my woman," Sean sat at the edge of the bed, asking, yet his eyes were unyielding, "How about I give you a title?"
