  CHRISTINA'S POV

HE held my hand when I was scared to jump into the water. He'd urged me to be brave, but my six year old self was very frightened.

He'd chant my name and the fear would go away and ask him to do it with me.

We'd count one, two, three and lastly jump! "

I can still feel the cool water on my skin

It feels like that memory was created yesterday, but it's years and now I am fourteen years old.

A dreadful tomboy and a nerd I hated wearing glasses, but they helped me to see better.

Ever since my parents died my grandfather has always taken good care of me. He was my compass to guide me whenever I got lost, he was the center of my world and he was a very kindhearted human being.

"Christina my dear how are your studies going?" he asked curiously while he sips his whisky even if his doctors forbid him.

I clocked a brow at him and kept my gaze on my cell phone.

"My studies are going fine grandpa and you have nothing to worry about" I said coolly assuring him and he nodded.

He acknowledges Eric with a stern nod you must be wondering who Eric is right?

Well I'll give you some legit details Eric Wilder is my best friend and bodyguard I like, like him,but he is twenty one years old while am seventeen years old his very good looking.

"Eric will be here to protect you and take care of you when I am gone my darling."

"Gone where grandpa? I asked curiously.

  He sighs deeply.

" I can't tell you right now, because you are too young, but Eric will be here for you just trust him OK. "

  I nod quietly.

" Whatever you say grandpa" I mutter coolly.

He gives Eric a stern look and excuses himself.

"I'll be back in a few minutes dear I need to have a word with Eric."

  NOBLE AUGUSTEN POV

I patted Eric on the back. I could sense the tension he had and for some reason he seemed nervous.

He looked like he had a lot of things on his mind.

"I saw the way you looked at my granddaughter Eric and that's not good."

Eric lowered his head and looked away. His silence confirmed my suspicion and that's when I knew that something was going on.

"Mr. Noble I don't know what you're talking about" Eric says quietly.

  I frown at him.

"Don't bother lying Eric I saw the way you looked at my granddaughter you like her and that will lead to bad consequences."

  He remained silent.

I sigh and stare at him.

"Son you're twenty one years old and she just turned seventeen years old less than two months ago she's a minor. She's off limits and your job is to only protect her and not fall in love with or later on get close to her inappropriately."

"This is a friendly reminder please stay away from her" I warn.

  He nodes meekly.

  ERIC WILDER POV

Christina's grandfather was pretty clear and I got his warning. I knew that I had to stay away from Christina, but it was going to be tough.

She was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen and whenever I am around her I am always nervous. I stared at her from a distance and her grandfather whispered something in her ear and she burst out laughing.

Two dimples appeared on both of her cheeks; she looked simply stunning and gorgeous.

When our eyes locked she smiled and waved at me when I returned her smile she suddenly blushed and looked away.

Noble warned me with his eyes and I looked away. Sometimes I wish he'd just simply give me a chance. I'd protect Christina and never let any harm come to her. Noble kissed his granddaughter on the cheek and summoned me.

"I have to attend a meeting in Hong Kong. I trust that you'll keep Christina from any trouble," Noble muttered sternly and I nodded.

"Of course sir as you wish."

Once he left I released the breath I was holding and slumped on the seat next to Christina with a deep sigh.

"So you're here to babysit a teenager? Christina murmurs coolly.

I smirk and shrug carelessly and sit beside her.

" Hey you're a mature young lady Christina you don't need me to babysit you right? I taunt and she frowns and chuckles escapes my lips when she frowns and a wrinkle appears on her forehead.

She just looks cute when she's furious.

" Of course not I'm not a child am old enough to take care of myself Mr. Willder" She murmurs in a soft voice and I grin.

"Alright Christina no babysitting then, but I'll keep an eye on you."

She snorts and gets up from her seat.

"Let's do something fun and exciting Eric besides my grandpa isn't around to act all grumpy and bossy like I am fragile."

  I frown at her.

"Christina don't push your luck" I say coolly.

She makes a baby face and pouts her lips begging to go.

"Fine we'll go to the park, but just for twenty minutes?

She nods and smiles wrapping both of her arms around me.

I recover fast and wrap my arm around her slender small waist. Once I pull release her eyes lock and her cheeks turn a red rosy shade.

  I cleared my throat nervously.

"Ummm we better get going soon because I have to drop you off at home before curfew."

She tugs my hand and drags me outside.

Everything just seemed so perfect between us, but I knew that I had to remember my place and limits.

Protecting Christina was my only job. It brings me back to the day I met her.

I was just a fresh face in the town looking for a job to make ends meet and put food on the table.

And I was kinda lost too. I was new in the city and didn't exactly know anyone.
