I sat down in a corner of the hall waiting for Liam to walk past the hall. The hall was crowded with werewolves that had come to dine or take their meal, I am an Omega and the specific one that doesn't have a special ability like others, Most of the omegas have healing abilities, skills in the making of weapons, others are very smart in creating wars plan, I didn't have any ability, werewolves like me are usually put in the kitchen to cook for other werewolves that were my role in the Halfmoon pack.

I looked around the noisy hall, I could see that I wasn't the only one waiting for Liam, other female werewolves were dressed in the most seductive way possible.... "if only they knew that Liam is my chosen mate" I said

I and Liam have been dating for two years now, Liam is the son of our Alpha and he is my mate, the chosen mate that was given to me by the moon goddess, I can still remember how happy I was when I found out that the hot and charming looking Liam our Alpha son was going to be my mate, I jumped for joy when my wolf Rihanna told me.

Unfortunately, Liam wanted to keep it a secret so we started dating secretly, we love each other very much but he was scared of what the public might say since I was just an Omega who had no ability of any sort, how could I be the Luna of such a great pack that is filled with strong werewolves? Even I was a little scared or maybe a lot... I was already bullied by some betas and other better omegas, especially by Ricky, a known and strong female beta. She was in love with Liam and she showed it, sometimes I can't help but imagine when she finds out that I am Liam's chosen mate, how would she react to it and what would she do to me?! I was scared just thinking about it, I quickly brushed the thought off my mind.

"Oh my goodness, is that the person I am seeing that must be Lily" I heard the person voice that I hated the most, Ricky with her loyal friend or should I say dog by her side, Sara who always follows Ricky everywhere she goes just like a fly. She does whatever Ricky says.

"Speaking about the devil and she appears'' Rihanna my wolf says

Ricky wore a short purple dress that revealed her breasts and curves, she was here to seduce Liam as usual but I doubt that she would succeed, she never did and she never would.

"Don't tell me you are hiding in this corner to spy on my man, on my Liam" she said to me

I shook my head vigorously "No no I'm just relaxing a bit" I said to her or more of lied

If It is revealed that I am waiting for Liam, she wouldn't hesitate to beat the hell out of me in this public arena, and not even Liam who do a thing about it. I've gotten used to her so I know how to move around her.

Before she could make any more comments her loyal friend Sara whispered some words in her ears, she smiled blissfully and then looked at me "I will be going now I have some more important things to do but do not worry, we shall continue our discussion" she said and bounced off

I gave a sigh of relief, I gave myself a mental note to wait for Liam without thinking of anything else especially not Ricky.

After waiting for what felt like an eternity, I went in search of him but making sure no one knew I was looking for him, I went to his favorite spot in the park where he likes coming to spend some alone time, I miss him and wanted to see him, spend some time with him but on reaching there, I stop on my track bewildered, shocked, confused.

Liam and Ricky were in a passionate kiss and embrace. What the hell is going on? Rihanna my wolf immediately sprang into jealousy and possessiveness, with the will of my wolf and I, I screamed at them without fearing the consequences "What the hell are you doing?!"

They separated in shock "Oh my god, it's just you, why did you scream that way, goddess!" she exclaimed "I almost thought something bad had happened" Ricky rolled her eyes

I look at Liam ignoring the presence of Ricky "What is going on right now? explain to me what you were doing kissing Ricky of all people! why?!" I demanded heartbroken, I could feel the tears lingering tears in my eyes, the pain of betrayal is this what it was? I thought.

Liam didn't look like he even cared what I was saying he finally spoke after a few minutes of staring at my face without showing any emotion, he said "don't you know I'm tired of you already, I thought because of the mate bond, I will never grow tired of having sex with you but I'm wrong besides I never really wanted to make you my mate, I just wanted to enjoy you a bit before discarding you" he said the words that I never in a million years would think he will say to me.

Without even letting me speak or comprehend his words, he said "I'm tired of all the pretense I was doing, I already had a test of my mate, can you now accept to be my Luna?"He said to Ricky

Rihanna was already whimpering, while I placed the pieces together, Liam and Ricky planned this together, to break me. To hurt me? But why? What have I done to them to deserve such treatment? He is my chosen mate for goddess' sake, why would he.....

"You are forgetting something, we need the bond to be completely severe, to be able to choose me as your mate," Ricky said with a smug smile on her face, she likes it, she likes seeing me struggling, in pain, seeing me heartbroken why? why did they go as far as this, just to hurt me? what have I ever done to her? ever since she laid her eyes on me, she has been my nemesis and she has been doing so without a cause.

"Okay, that's easy, I, Liam Sherlock Reject you, Lily as my mate, "Liam said

As the word left his mouth, I felt more hurt emotionally, this was the most gruesome betrayal that he could ever do.

The tears I was trying to hold, rolled down my cheek "Can I ask you one question?"I said

He frowns slightly "Hurry up, don't waste my time"

"Did you ever love me? During our time together didn't you feel even the smallest feeling of love for me?" I asked him

He stared at me for a long time without answering, then he said " Never, the only thing I felt was the mate pull, which made you look sexually desirable"

I nod with uncontrollable tears" I, Lily accept your rejection"

Immediately I said those words, I felt an immense emptiness, like a void that was shortly accompanied by the immense pain that comes with breaking a mate bond.

I screamed out and fell on the ground holding my chest, I heard Liam groan in pain also.

The mate bond has been severed
