Chapter

I have never felt so much pain in my lifetime.

This pain feels like when my dad died newly, I thought I would die that I wouldn’t survive it. I sold everything

including dropping out of school to take care of my sick father, but at the end he didn’t survive it…

The only person who kept me going was fred

My boyfriend..

fred and I have been dating for almost 3 years now, he is sweet, caring and makes

Sure im happy so it was easy to love him.

I genuinely love and care about him we’ve always talked about getting married and having 3kids I have always wanted that with him until I got the shock of my life.

He is always working late, he asked me to move in with him after he asked to marry him and I agreed because it was the right thing to do since we’re getting married.

On this beautiful Tuesday, I checked my watch and it was past 3pm and when I checked my phone to see if fred had called, nothing…

Fred and I made an arrangement with the wedding planner to meet up by 3:30pm to make some arrangements about the wedding but as usual I guess he is busy.

I decided to stop by his office and wait for him so we could go together.

When I came downstairs the security man Mr Patric greeted me as always the man is always happy and he asked if am going to need a cab I said yes, so he stopped one immediately for me.

I gave the driver my location and he immediately drove off. When I arrived at my location I got out of the car I took

my time, check my makeup to make sure everything is still sleek.

I favor my mom she’s very beautiful, tall and very thick. I am fine I know …

but beauty doesn’t put food on the table. Fred is the assistant manager of rockview hotel it’s a very beautiful hotel one I would like to have my honeymoon if fred was working there. I walked into the hotel lobby the receptionist smiled warmly when she saw me . Everyone knew I was fred finance.

When I got up to his office his secretary wasn’t on her sit so I walk straight to my man’s office with the intent of surprising him.

But the sight that greeted me made me froze.

I couldn’t speak couldn’t look away I was stone frozen.

My man or the man I thought was my man has his head buried on his secretary’s pussy. The sound he made while he ate her pussy was so animalistic.

She ached her head back with want like this wasn’t the first time they’ve been doing this.

God why me? What did I do to deserve this level of hurt and humiliation from Fred?

I thought we were perfect?

Everything was okay.

Then why? What did I do wrong?

Im a good woman I know that.

I don’t cheat, I communicate with him well, and our sex life is perfect at least that’s what I thought.

What hurt most is that everyone in his office knew me. So I have been walking around his office each I come to visit him with so joy and pride about my man.

How do I heal from this kind of pain? How do I survive this? Am I not good enough to be loved properly?

A lot was going through my head I felt so ashamed of myself at that moment.

I was frozen I didn’t know how many seconds or minutes went by before his secretary turned her head and saw me and smile pushed his head deeper and started mourning his name so I could hear.

I don’t know why I couldn’t move it’s was like I was paralyzed I couldn’t feel my legs. I didn’t even realize that tears was running down my cheeks. Until …

The sound of angry voices from the reception downstairs snapped me back to reality.

I blinked, as if waking from a nightmare.

No…

This couldn’t be happening.

Fred slowly turned around, his eyes meeting mine. The color drained from his face. For a split second, guilt flashed across it before disappearing into panic.

“Rose…

My name rolled off his tongue like a desperate prayer.

I couldn’t answer.

My throat had closed.

I… I need to get out of here because if I stand here longer than this I might faint from shock.

The engagement ring on my finger suddenly felt like it weighed a thousand pounds.

Three years.

Three years of loving him.

Three years of believing every promise, every kiss, every late-night conversation about our future.

Three years of imagining our wedding… our honeymoon… the little house with the white fence… our three children running through the backyard.

Was it all a lie?

How long did Fred intend for this affair to last? No wonder he says so many good things about his secretary.

The way he showers her with praises I never read any meaning into it because I trusted him so much.

Every dream shattered in one heartbeat.

His secretary didn’t look ashamed.

She looked victorious.

A slow smile spread across her lips as she casually adjusted her blouse, as though I was the one interrupting something ordinary.

“I’m sorry…” Fred rushed toward me, his voice shaking. “Baby, this isn’t what it looks like.”

I let out a laugh.

A broken, hollow laugh that didn’t even sound like my own.

“Not what it looks like?” I whispered.

Tears blurred my vision until his face became nothing more than a shadow.

“I… I can explain.”

I finally found my voice.

“No.”

It came out barely above a whisper.

“No… you can’t.”

I slowly slipped the engagement ring off my finger.

The same ring he had placed on my hand while promising to love me forever.

I looked at it one last time before placing it gently on his office desk.

“I buried my father,” I said, my voice trembling. “I survived that because I believed I still had you.”

Fresh tears rolled down my cheeks.

“But today…”

I swallowed hard.

“Today you buried every part of me that still believed in love.”

Without waiting for another excuse…

Without giving him another chance to lie…

I turned around and walked away.

Behind me, I heard him calling my name over and over.

“Rose! Please! Listen to me!”

His footsteps echoed behind me, but I never looked back.

Because sometimes…

The best thing you can do for yourself is walk away…

stepped out of the hotel and into the pouring rain.

My phone vibrated.

Unknown Number

He was never yours

He is mine… and will always be.

You can never make him beg or scream your name

While he pound you from behind over and over again.

I froze.

Before I could reply…

Another message appeared.

You’re nothing special.
