In the two years, one week, two days and some hours_ that jumoke has lived in her apartment, she had never had the impulse to move, to just drop everything and relocate, as strongly as she did now. It wasn't even that crazy workout obsessed dude that lived three doors down. Or the fact that the 'NO PETS' policy was blindly broken by the almost toothless old lady who lived in the floor above hers. Not even her perverted grey-haired landlord, that had the tendency to 'drop by' whenever he wanted to, had jumoke driving up the walls. It was the new tenant that had recently moved in next door. George.

With difficultly concealed annoyance, jumoke stormed out of her room and walked the five paces, to stand at the apartment door of George. She knocked loudly, pouring her anger out on the door and cursing under her breath. Her knocking wasn't loud enough to be heard over that obnoxious music. The vein on jumoke's temple was about to explode. She knocked even harder, adding a kick for her own pleasure. Finally that blaring music was turned down and steps could be heard approaching the door.

Jumoke took a step back and waited for the door to open. Her face in a scowl, dark almond shaped eyes narrowed, and her hands fisted at her sides. The metal door at last opened to reveal a tall, dark skinned man. He was almost a foot taller than jumoke, and she was far from short. Jumoke hating the fact that she had to look up in order to lock her eyes with the brilliant light brown eyes that were george's,braced herself for what she planned to say.

The words died however, when her eyes dipped down, the man was only wearing blue silk boxers. Who on earth answered their door only wearing boxers! George had fine skin, a muscular stomach, and a black birthmark near his left hip bone. It wasn't the first time jumoke saw the guy this way. George had the audacity to walk to the gate outside and back in only his boxers…or a towel.

The guy had no shame.

Jumoke further narrowed her eyes. George looking back at her with a blank expression. "Turn that goddamn noise, that you call music, down! Some of us have something more productive to do" She snarled.

The young man leaned against the doorway and gave jumoke a grin. "Oh,don't like heavy metal?" He leaned in toward the her, his face breaking out into a sultry smirk. "Is there a way to convince you otherwise?"

This guy was also a flirt.

Jumoke's glare intensified. She was not in the mood. "I've told you this before. These walls are thin. Your bad choice in music is not freaking appreciated." She struggled to keep her voice leveled, refusing to show him that she was affected by him in any way.

George tilted his head in fake innocence. "Did you? I had no idea."

This guy was also- a stupid imbecile.

"Turn down that music, I have work to do." Jumoke turned on her heel, fed up with this.

"You didn't say 'please'" George called after her, his bald head sticking out into the hallway.

"To hell with that!" She shouted, entering her own apartment and slamming the door behind her.

George smirked to himself and whispered. "Hm. Feisty huh"

In the two years, two weeks, two days- that jumoke has lived in her apartment, she had never had the unbearable urge to kill, to just burn everything and relocate, as strongly as she did now. It wasn't even that weed smoking freak that lived right opposite her, with his noisy early morning prayers and clapping, being heard clearly throughout the floor. Or the fact that every some weekends jumoke would find chinyere, the landlords daughter burning some sort of incense at the backyard that sickened jumoke with the smell, try as she could,to talk to the landlord about it, he adamantly refused to do anything about it, he said his daughter was a spiritualist,he was a liberal father who would love and support her no matter what. How sweet. Not. It wasnt even the gossipy lady that lived with the almost toothless old lady above, always trying to pry, to know what jumoke did for a living that made her possess a car despite been single, and how come there was no man in her life. It was the new tenant, George, who had just moved in next door.

With her almond shaped eyes scanning the page of her newly published book. It took every shred of jumoke's willpower to stop her hands from turning into fists around the hard book cover. She tried to take a calming breath but it turned into a sharp intake of air when she heard another resounding bang against her apartment wall.

On the other side of the wall was George. Grunts and cusses revealed that her finely built neighbor was fighting with someone. Groans and threats were being tossed back and forth. The fight wasn't even serious, jumoke could hear laughing. So freaking immature. Again She tried to refocus her attention on her book.

Another crash sounded through the wall. "Incoming!" dramatically shouted George's playmate.

Jumoke gritted her teeth.

"Hey that hurt!" George's voice" Take this! " A sound, like a punch.

Jumoke lost it, grabbing an empty custard bucket and filled it with cold water, someone needed serious calming down. She changed the bumshorts she had on to a baggy trouser and picking up the bucket ,moved to the door with every intention of going over there and just knocking them both out cold. She didn't even take three steps…the wall connecting the two rooms collapsed like paper. George and stranger went flying through the wall and landed in debris on jumoke's apartment floor.
