The story begins by telling about two sisters and their family, all living in a small house in a more isolated part of the forest in the Aftermoon Kingdom, the place is full of legends about hideous creatures that roam the lands since ancient times, Cateline and the middle sister of the Forth family, she fervently believed in these legends, the ancients told that the Kingdom and the rest of the world had suffered a curse that had left all infertile women, and so the current generation could not reproduce.
Many did not believe when it all began , but when all of the kingdom saw with their own eyes the women failing to generate more life, they were completely terrified.
One night after a party in the village, Cateline a young virgin peasant comes across a strange man who completely bewitched her, not understanding why that intense feeling of attraction the young woman just surrenders, leaving something to happen unexpectedly next.
Even with the infertility curse cast on the world, Cateline will become pregnant with this mysterious man, and she will only find out by noticing strange changes in her body.

The younger brother is called Martin, is a very curious child and loves to discover new things, this makes him always get into trouble when they go to the nearby village to sell some of his goods.
