Introduction
Carolina, the real heiress of the Watson family, had been sent to the countryside due to mental illness. Five years later, she returned home, transforming from a shy, timid girl to a fiery, unstoppable force, ready to take revenge on those who had harmed her. A miraculous doctor, a designer, a company president... These were just a few of the identities she held. So, she feared no one. One day, when she was relaxing at home, an anonymous message appeared on her phone. "Look outside." Walking to the balcony, she saw a familiar luxury car parked down below. She hurriedly tried to escape, but when turning around, she bumped into the man's arms. "Sweetie, you've had your fun. Now it's time to come back to me..."

"Carolina Watson, you wretch. Get lost!"

"Your family promised they'd pick you up by noon. It's past that and no one's here! You've been freeloading off me for years without a single penny from your family!"

A burly, middle-aged woman erupted in harsh curses, emerging from an old countryside house.

In her hand, she gripped a freshly washed white rucksack, which she then flung into the yard.

A young girl stood in a lonely corner.

Her lean figure poised against the wall, her complexion radiant despite the ghostly pallor, and her eyes held a gloomy stare.

The woman's harsh words seemed to have no effect on her.

"You think I wanted to take care of you? If that old witch hadn't forced me before she croaked..."

Bang!

Suddenly, a wooden stick sailed through the air, slamming into the woman's vicious mouth.

The woman sneered and wanted to chastise her, but she went silent after staring at Carolina's face.

With a set of indifferent brown eyes, Carolina raised her head slightly. Her gaze was icy. Her look was clearly that of a teenage girl, but it had a note of arrogance to it.

She didn't look like a child raised in the countryside at all.

She was 18 years old and had been in the countryside for five years.

Back then, she caused harm to others when she was thirteen, and she was diagnosed with severe bipolar disorder. Later, she was sent to the countryside. She was supposed to have been transferred to the sanatorium here to recover.

In fact, no one cared about her for many years.

Until yesterday, the Watson family finally sent someone to pick her up.

But those people were still nowhere to be seen.

Carolina straightened her body and approached Nina.

"When I first arrived here, I had a quantity of money that you forcibly confiscated from me. Grandma constructed the house behind you. She mentioned before she departed that if she died, the house would belong to me."

Nina was startled for a moment when she heard this, "Bah! What bullsh*t you're talking about? This is the gift my mother-in-law gave to me. What kind of person do you believe you are? Who, after all, has taken your money? I'm not even sure if I've seen it!"

"All right!" A trustworthy, dark-skinned middle-aged man emerged from the room, walked over to Carolina's side, and handed her 500 yuan.

"Here, take the money. You can go home by car. It's a waste to stay here."

Nina was furious as soon as she saw this. She scolded immediately, "What exactly do you mean? Why should we give this ungrateful rascal our family's money? Return it now!"

After that, she rushed up to grab the man's arm and squeezed it hard.

The man took a deep breath in pain. He dared not speak out his anger.

Carolina watched this scene with cold eyes. Then, she lowered her head, picked up her backpack, and patted the dust on it.

"Keep the money. I don't need it."

After that, she lifted her foot and walked out of the courtyard.

Outside the yard, the sound of tyres pounding on the ground was audible.

Nina shivered, and her expression immediately changed. She said happily, "Did someone from the Watson family come?"

Since the Watson family was here, she could get a lot of money from them!

She quickly ran to open the door.

However, she was taken aback by the Santana at the door.

Wasn't the Watson family very rich? How could they drive such a run-down car?!

Carolina slung her knapsack over her shoulder and regarded the broken car with a chilly gaze.

Nina scowled at the car and clenched her teeth, exclaiming, "No! After all, we have helped the Watson family. They had to return our favour!"

After that, she was ready to rush over to ask for money.

Justus grabbed her and reprimanded in a low voice, "That's enough! Forgive and forget. Let's not make a big deal out of it. Carolina has funded and helped to the construction of the residence. Also, you've taken her money, and you know it!"

"Besides, it's been two years since we've seen Carolina. Don't you feel ashamed saying that we've raised her?"

Nina was rendered speechless by him, and her face turned red.

"If our mother finds out that you bullied her like this, I'm scared she'll crawl out of the coffin to kill you!" Justus declared.

The villagers believed the most in ghosts and gods. Therefore, Nina was silent when she heard what he said.

The corners of Carolina's mouth twisted into a frigid smile. She casually went past them while holding her backpack in one hand. She was about to get in the car.

At this moment, an adorable voice suddenly came from behind.

"Carolina!"

Carolina paused and slowly turned around, only to see a little boy running out of the room.

The boy was about five or six years old, with a lot of snacks in his hands. He dashed over to Carolina with his cheeks flushed.

"Are you leaving again? Here, these are the snacks I have hidden for a long time. Eat them on the way."

Carolina's expression changed. She lowered her gaze to look at him and was about to pat his head.

Nina's expression abruptly transformed. She raced forward and yanked the kid away, "You ungrateful son, why waste our food on her?" she yelled, pulling his ear.

The little boy was in pain and felt wronged. He pouted and began to cry. "Let me go, I want Carolina! Carolina!"

Carolina's expression darkened. She approached Nina and yanked her hand away.

The little boy immediately threw himself into her arms with grievance.

Meanwhile, Nina still wanted to make trouble, but her husband dragged her away.

"Carolina..." The little boy raised his head, revealing his tearful eyes.

Carolina remained silent. She quietly took a lovely Agate necklace from her suitcase and placed it around the little boy's neck.

Then, she reached out and gently rubbed his head. After that, she turned around and walked out of the yard.

The little boy cried and wanted to chase after her, but he was picked up by Nina and carried back to the room.

Carolina came to the shabby car, opened the door, and went in.

The driver was preoccupied with how tough it was to operate the car and he failed to notice her.

The winding mountain road was too difficult to navigate. His car came to a halt halfway there and his engine dies.

They would not be able to get the highly skilled doctor that Mr. Puckett was looking for if this continued.

"Let's go." Carolina said lightly, which almost scared the driver away.

In disbelief, the driver spun around and stared at Carolina's cold and arrogant demeanour, his eyes wide with surprise.

"Is this the doctor that Mr. Puckett is looking for?"

She was too young! Also, when did she get in the car? Why was there no sound at all?!

The driver froze and did not move.

Carolina glanced at him indifferently. "Didn't you come to pick me up?"

The driver came to his senses and nodded hard. "Yes, I'm here to pick you up to Corsus."

Carolina replied faintly. Then, she closed her eyes and leaned back to rest.

After the car vanished at the end of the mountain road, an old man with grey hair ran over with a medical kit, panting.

He was perplexed when he looked at the deserted road and the current time.

Didn't the driver agree to pick him up at this time? Where was he?!

Nina stepped out to take a look and came face to face with this man, who made her close the door in disgust.

Nobody knew who would be the next victim of this doctor. His poor medical skills had put the lives of a dozen individuals at jeopardy. Despite this, there was a rumour that he was a highly skilled doctor, which was so ridiculous.

......

The car drove for a long time on the high mountain route, and the driver almost puked by the trembling car.

However, Carolina was still sitting in the back seat with a calm face, holding a mobile phone in her hand.

In her private chat group, a user named Van was frantically sending her messages.

"Boss! Someone inquired about your identification behind your back. The other party paid a considerable fee to request that you care for his dying grandmother. Is it something you want to do?"

"What the f*ck, boss! Your identity has been replaced by someone else, and that person took this task with your identity!"

"Boss, do you want me to help you get it back?!"

After reading the message, Carolina's slender fingertips quickly tapped on the screen.

Nine: No need, I won't take this task.

The other party answered very quickly.

"Boss, think twice! The other party is offering 10 million yuan!"

"Boss?!"

Three seconds later, the group chat interface showed that Van had been removed from the group by the admin.

Van: ...

After turning off the phone, Carolina put the phone into her pocket and looked up at the window.

The sky was overcast. It had been dull before the storm.

She remembered that the day she came here, it was the same cloudy day.

After five years, she would no longer be as vulnerable as she used to be.

The driver took the opportunity to glance at the rearview mirror.

The girl in the mirror was softly leaning against the window. Her eyes were chilly, and her demeanour was cold and arrogant, giving her a mystery appearance.

How could such a lovely young lady have been nurtured in such a poor and isolated location? Was she really a doctor who performed miracles?

It was really strange!

During that time, Carolina took a nap.

There were many pictures in her dreams, which were chaotic.

She didn't open her eyes until the driver jolted her awake, and there was a spark of cruelty in her gaze.

Her bloodshot eyes were giving her an icy appearance.

The driver was shocked and said cautiously, "Doctor, we have arrived at the Puckett family's residence."

Carolina grimaced and shifted her gaze to the window. In front of the vintage old gate, there was a horizontal board hanging above.

Two big words were written on it: Puckett's Residence.

Carolina's eyebrows slightly lifted.

It appeared that she had mistakenly gotten into the wrong car!
