"Serena Mallin, just drop the idea, I will never marry a woman like you in my lifetime!"

Her fiance's words kept ringing in her head, and Serena wandered the streets like a lost spirit.

Waldo Russell said he would never like a vicious-minded woman like her.

She was never vindictive. It was Waldo being blinded by Phyllis that he couldn't see her good side!

She had given up so much for him, but he only had eyes for Phyllis!

Ha-ha, for over twenty years, she had been living like a fool.

She never knew her half-sister from the same father would resort to such tactics.

Zephyr was the largest entertainment venue in the imperial capital.

Without hesitation, Serena stepped in and booked a private room.

She didn't know she could drink so much until she saw the numerous bottles and cans littered all over the ground.

She felt a sudden urge to pee, so she leaned on the wall and left the private room.

Staggering, she was about to reach the restroom when Serena slipped and fell backward.

The drunken Serena didn’t show any fear or take any protective measures. She just fell straight backward.

The next second, Serena fell into a warm embrace.

She let out a hiccup, casting a glance at the handsome man before her and letting out two silly giggles. "Waldo, I don't need you in my life. Wait until the day comes when I marry a handsome man and show you. I'll marry anyone but you, you jerk!"

Richard watched the drunken woman in front of him, frowning slightly as he helped her up.

Serena grabbed onto the sleeve of Richard Macy, grinning as she said, "Handsome, will you marry me?"

Richard looked at Serena and asked, "Are you serious?"

Serena looked outraged, "Of course! I am as serious as it gets. Let's get our marriage license right now and piss off that blind fool, Waldo!"

Richard pondered for a moment, then slowly opened his mouth, "I don't care what your reasons are, whether it's spite or impulse, once you marry me, there is no way out. No regrets."

Serena shook her head, "No regrets, I won't regret it! What I regret the most is wasting so much of my youth by Waldo's side!"

Taking hold of Serena's hand, Richard declared, "If you have no regrets, then let's go get our marriage certificate right now."

When Serena woke up, her head felt like it was going to explode.

She sat up, rubbing her head, when she caught sight of a figure in the room from the corner of her eye.

She immediately sobered up, staring warily at the man, "Who are you? Where is this?"

Richard, seated at his desk working, lifted his gaze to look at Serena and calmly replied, "Your husband, our marital home."

Serena was stunned. Was she dreaming?

She pinched her thigh fiercely, the pain almost causing her to bite her lip.

Seeing Serena's reaction, Richard, who was usually quite composed, felt an unusual urge to laugh.

"If you don't remember, take a look at this." After speaking, Richard tossed the marriage certificate onto the bed.

Serena hesitated a bit before opening the red booklet. To her astonishment, the photo inside was one of her and the man in front of her!

In the photo, she was leaning joyfully onto his shoulder while he had a slight smile on his lips, both of them exuding an aura of happiness.

The female's name was Serena, and the male's name was Richard.

Could it be that she had lost her memory? How could she not remember such a significant event as being married?

No, wait a minute.

Richard?

This was Richard!

Although Serena hadn't met Richard in person, she had seen his photos in magazines. Macy Family was one of the wealthiest and most prominent families in the capital.

Raising her head to examine the man before her, Serena confirmed that he was indeed the same person from the photos. Moreover, he was even more attractive in person, to the point where it felt as though he had transcended the ordinary.

It was rumored that Richard was cruel, ruthless and bloodthirsty.

However, upon seeing him now, it didn't seem like the rumors were entirely accurate.

"It looks like you've forgotten about last night." Richard fiddled with his phone for a bit before placing it in front of Serena.

As Serena watched the video on the phone, her face turned increasingly red. She felt so embarrassed that she wished she could bury herself underground.

Who on earth was this crazy person?

She had never been this drunk before, it was a drunken mistake she'd regret for a lifetime.

She was initially skeptical about the marriage certificate, could they really get one in the middle of the night? But obviously, as Richard, he would of course, find a way to get it.

Richard sat down beside the bed, looking at Serena, "Regret it?"

Serena shook her head quickly, "To be able to marry into Macy Family, of course, I wouldn't regret it!"

More so, she didn’t dare to!

But after all, this was something she had done impulsively when drunk, she couldn't accept it that quickly.

"Mr. Macy, I made a drunken mistake and dragged you into marriage last night, you were so ready to agree, there must be a reason, right? Although we are legally married now, the reality is bound to be different from a normal couple. So, may I put forward a few conditions?" Serena asked pleadingly.

Richard did not answer Serena's question, instead, he retorted, "Can I put forward a condition?"

"Yes, of course." Serena nodded eagerly.

Richard’s thin lips slightly parted, "Call me husband, or by my name."

The expression on Serena's face was as if she had been struck by lightning, "Mr. Macy, you're joking, aren't you?"

There are rumors that Richard has no interest in women, so Serena felt that the reason he married her was probably just to ward off suspicions and deal with his family.

Richard said very seriously, "It's not a joke, that's my only condition for now, it's your turn."

Serena nodded, fortunately, Richard's condition was simple.

"Firstly, I hope our relationship will not be publicized so soon, I'm not ready yet."

"Secondly, I normally live at my own house."

"Um, for now these are the two conditions, I will inform you if I have more thoughts about other ones later."

Actually, Serena wanted to add a third condition, which was they should not engage in matrimonial matters before they fall in love with each other. However, she thought it was unnecessary because Richard wasn't interested in women in the first place.

Otherwise, why didn't he touch her while she was so drunk last night?

Upon hearing Serena's conditions, a few lines of frustration crept onto Richard's forehead.

This girl, she's so blunt when it comes to laying down conditions with him.

Little did she know, it was rare for someone to dare to negotiate conditions with him.

"That's fine." Richard picked up Serena's phone from the bedside table, "What's your password? Let's exchange phone numbers."

Serena promptly grabbed the phone, quickly inputting some commands and then looking up at Richard, "When's your birthday?"

Richard said, "November 11th."

Upon hearing his response, Serena couldn't help chuckling, it turned out he was born on Singles' Day.

"What are you laughing at?" Richard could tell Serena was thinking about something weird.

Of course, Serena dare not tell Richard what she was thinking, "Oh nothing, from now on my password will be your birthday."

Richard's phone had previously not been password-protected, but now, he was setting one.

Noticing this, Serena was taken aback, "How did you know my birthday?"
