Fresh air greeted Creed, at the airport exit. He looked around, expecting someone to pick him up. He couldn’t help but notice the scenery he hadn’t seen for quite a long time. The place has changed drastically since his last visit, back in high school days.
His eyes were occupied at the intersection, he was offered a cab, but he declined. Creed Galvez, was an impatient man, and he was nearing the point of annoyance when a black Mercedes-Benz stopped in front of him. The door opened and the man who was not far from his feature stepped out. The man was six and five inches tall. He wore a grey fitted shirt and khaki pants with a pair of combat shoes, same as what you have seen on a Columbian Soldiers movie is wearing. Damn! He looks different from what he really is.
“Come on, fucker! I know you missed me, but please get in the car before you lose yourself and kiss my ass,” he told him while carrying one of his luggage and placing it in the car compartment. There’s no single exchange of greetings between them.
He was Sebastian Del Fierro, one of his jackass friends. A gloomy one. He suddenly recalled the activities they were involved in lead of this fucker.
“Hey, you’re not giving me a hug, I miss you, man!” Del Fierro said with a wide smile and seemed to annoys him more.
“Drop it! You freak, don’t you dare touch me fucker!” he said as he staggered in disgust.
He missed his buddy, no doubt about that. And now he’s just really smiling. He was like a brother to him, and they didn’t break all ties, even though he’s been to Chicago and has been there ever since. He’s a good man and a friend to him.
“Ouch for that, Galvez!” Seb, laughed and acted like a depressed girlfriend. The son of a bitch even kissed his own chest like a broken fella.
“Where’s my car, Seb? I’d rather drive my own back to Pazo De Blas, rather than bother you here!” Creed said, he was referring to the car he bought before he arrived. It was better to travel alone. He knows how busy man, Sebastian Del Fierro, is.
“Alright, if that’s what you want man! It’s in my garage. See Dela Merced, and Ivanov, first before heading to your hometown. They’ll be glad to see you!” he said as the perception focused on their way.
He apologized for not being with his colleagues. He’s been too drained. Going home early is better than staying in Manila. One thing, is that they don’t know what he is going through. Lucian, simply avoids the interrogation that these may have done to him if they had the opportunity. He rather spent his time alone and buried himself on his ancestor's house. Perhaps he had the peace of mind he needed there.
“Please... Clarisse, don’t do this to me!” He begged.
“Please Creed, stop! It won’t work anymore let’s end this already,” Clarisse blatantly said.
“Clarisse, please! Don’t leave, I love you, hon, you know that!”
“My God, Creed, don’t stooped this low. Look at yourself. Could you please have some shame?” Clarisse irritated asked.
“I don’t care Clarisse, I don’t care if I may look shameful, just please hon, don’t do this. We can work these things out, together.” He cried. He even knelt down.
“Are you fucking kidding me, Creed? We can’t make things out.” Clarisse smirked while disgustedly looking below his thigh. “That thing can’t work out, it’s useless, Creed, accept it!” She, then walked with a wide smirked on her face.
“Hey, Creed! Wake the fuck up!”
Creed, open his chocolate brown eyes and blows a deep breath. A fucking nightmare, again. Really? At the middle of the freaking dark road.
“Hey, bro, are you okay? You are fucking groaning, dude!”
“Yeah, I’m fine. Just... ahm... bad dream.”
Creed looked at the window. He avoided to talk about that nightmare, because it was all about Clarisse Sanders. His supposed to be fiancé, they’ve been engaged for nearly three years. They’re going to get married until that tragic accident happens.
“I’m very sorry Mr. Galvez, but I can’t give you any assurance on that matter.”
“What are you talking about? That I can no longer use this,” Creed, said in disbelief, at the same time pointing in between his thighs.
“I’m sorry to tell you that! But maybe, yes.” The Doctor just drops the fucking bomb.
“No! For Pete’s sake, I can’t accept this. I’d rather die in that fucking accident than accept this cruel fate.”
“Hey, Creed! Are you sure you’re okay?”
“Yes. Just a jetlag, maybe,” he said and turns his gazed back to the road.
It’s have been a year ago. That’s the disaster. He has done everything. He was spending millions. He almost traveling around the world to find something that can get him back to normal. But there was nothing he found. And that was the reason, why Clarisse dumped him. Just because he can’t make her satisfied.
He continues to be broken and miserable. He’s littered with his ego and pride. His faith in himself has faded. In reality, it’s useless. What else can he do in his life.
“Damn it!” As he remembered the part of his life, he wanted to focus on in oblivion. Successive blows came out of his mouth. It’s been a year, but it seems like yesterday’s just happened. For him, all was still new. She left it for that reason. He needs a breath of fresh air. He wants to forget everything, and if he stayed in this place, he couldn’t do that.
There’s a lot of memories in their place.
Clarissa isn’t a woman that can be easily forgotten. The fact that he sincerely loves this woman. He even thought about having a family with her. He was thinking, but it wasn’t like what it was supposed to be. The woman discarded him like a used toy. Maybe because now he’s useless. What a pity?
Creed wants to escape from these tiring cities. He needs some space to restore himself. The fact that he was rejected by her made a huge impact on his character. He wanted to getaway. He wanted to isolate himself far from the humiliation that his ex-girlfriend had been subjected to.
