It was a huge festive like arrangement for the wedding of two grand families in east city. The two heirs of Matthew groups and MM corporations Albert Matthew and Magdalene Edwards.

It is complete arranged marriage. They were not forced but still it was not their choice.

Magdalene's POV

I’m hell nervous. I know that I don’t know anything about him except his name, his family and alma matters but why the hell my parents don’t understand that and keep asking that “do you like him” “how’s he” and blah blah blahs. And specifically my cousins they are overreacting because this is the first wedding of our generation. This just annoys me. Its true that I’ve gone on 5 dates with him but still.

I’ve wore my bridal gown, the wedding tiara with the net and my 3 inch white heels. The only thing that’s remaining is I’ve to get in the car, dad has to take me to the wedding altar and I’ve to say “I do” and that’s it.

“Daddy” “daddy” I’m shouting at the top of my lungs but no-one’s responding. Did they forget I’m the bride they should take care of ‘oh god I feel like escaping from here’. At last someone’s at the door.

“You why and how did you come here?”

Why does bride has more restrictions than groom? That’s what I’m thinking now because the person came was my going to be husband.

He said “I…”

I looked at him with my eyebrows raised in a questioning form.

He quickly said “I just came to see if my wifey got ready to be married”

Then I asked “how did they even allow you”

He said “Everybody is busy welcoming me”

I said “what a good luck, now get lost”

He said “miss angry bird I’m going to be your husband within 2 hours. You know what I can do then” while putting his hand on my shoulder with grin and lustful gaze.

I pushed him and pulled the tie and said “Mr hubby you are the who should be worried about marrying me because you are just an ant while I’m lioness” with a naughty grin

He turned my around and held my waist and rested his chin in my shoulder. I thought ‘oh fuch how I’m gonna manage his reflexes’.

He said “wifey lets see”

Both of us looked at the door when someone opened it. Oh shit dad. I just wanted the ground to swallow me. I know that they are gonna make fun of me. This bastard he can leave me but his grip tightened.

Dad saw this and finally said “dear son in law everybody is searching for you outside while you are here with my daughter” and Albert slowly left me with a awkward look and dad pointed at the door and Albert left with a defeated look. I chuckled.

‘Hah another big advice’ I thought

Dad started his advice “in this house nobody knows that you’ve gone not on 5 but 25 dates with him apart from that pickup from office and all. Thank God that it was me who came and not your mom nor your aunts.”

I cut him off saying “dad I know it was him who came and I tried to shoo him but you know that pig knows how to take advantage of him”

Dad sighed and I hugged him and he said “love you sweety” and I replied “love you too daddy” I don’t know how and when I started crying.

Dad noticed it and wiped my tears while saying “don’t worry I will come and visit you often like I did when you were studying in Canada”

I smiled and I said “dad even you don’t worry I will visit you everyday and you will say we thought that you will leave once and we will be free when you get married but no”

Then the door was opening it was none other than my annoying brother Malvin only three persons knows about 25 days and pick up from work and that’s my dad, my bro and me.

He came to us and joined in the hug and complained

“Am I a part of this family ?”

I replied “nope pig you were picked up from a trash can”

Dad signalled me to keep my mouth shut and said “neither of you were born to me you were picked from trash can.”

Malvin and I said “daaaaaaad” in unison. We three laughed until mom came in while screaming “I asked Mr.Edwards to pick his daughter from room and then my son and here they hugging each other”

Malvin and I looked at dad with a ‘why did you marry her look’ and he chuckled and said to mom “we are ready darling, can I bring my daughter out?”

She looked at dad with ‘am I fool who’s roaming jobless’

Me and Malvin laughed. Mom and dad gave a cold glare.

Dad came to me and took my hand. He guided to the decorated wedding car and we sat. The car started, after 10 minutes of drive we reached the church. My cousin Felisha gave me the heavy flower bouquet and straightened my gown. Dad held my hand led me to the the church. The priest started saying the prayer and led me in, the weight of that garland made my head down. I was cursing everyone who selected that garland. Calvin notice dit and held my garland at backside of my neck and held my hand in other hand. I was grinning to have such nice father hold balanced the weight of the bouquet and brother for balancing the weight of garland.

After a short distance but felt like a eternity of walk, we reached the wedding altar and my uncle Ebenezer put another garland. I was giving a “are you serious look’ to him and he chuckled seeing that I wanted to give him punch on his nose, which I couldn’t because of my good girl look which I was giving.
