My name is Sarah Nathan. I'm the daughter of Rafael Nathan and Rachel Nathan. I'm the first born in my family and I have a younger brother too. I am 24 and my parents are trying to get me married. So my mom has registered about me in lot of blind date websites. She is earnestly looking a good match for me. Most of the guys she sees has rejected me for various reasons. Because of that, I already feel inferior about it. But my mom without thinking about my feelings she goes on with her game of matchmaking.

One fine morning, I woke up like everyday and felt something is off in me. As usual, I got ready for my work but my mind was completely bothering me. Anger is building inside me and I couldn't vent it out on anyone. While taking a shower, I was pondering whether to talk about it to my family or not. Finally I decided to speak up. After getting ready, I went downstairs to have breakfast with my parents.

My mom was busy in the kitchen and dad was having breakfast. I too filled my plate and started to eat.

Then my mom came and said, "I don't think the boy we saw last time is a good match for you or our family".

I was so tempted to shout but still I stayed calm.

I then said, "I want to remove my picture from all the blind date websites".

My mom was shocked to hear and said, "that's none of your business. I'll handle everything so you don't worry"

I was fuming here and thought "She has seen countless guys and everyone rejected me, so why would she still bother about it ".

I again said, "I want to remove my pictures from all the blind date websites today". And added, "I don't want to get married at all. Let me just work and stay with you ".

My mom got mad upon hearing that, "You don't have to work anymore. Stay in home. Why should you work when we can afford you? Stop being stubborn and obey my words".

I got angry too.

"Why should I have to stop working? Can't you see everyone is rejecting me so why would you want to marry me off? Are you that eager to get rid of me? Then I will go".

"Where would you go? Do you think your job will get permanent? ".

"Even if it's not permanent, I want to work".

"No you are not going to work today. How dare you to talk back!! "

"Let's see how you can stop me"

She got angry so much, "I will lock the doors "and she went to lock the door with padlock.

I said, "As if I can't jump the walls"

Then we both went to the gate. She was fuming and I too was hot with anger. At that time, my dad interfered, "Stop both of you ".

He scolded my mom to let me go. And chided me as well.

Then I came back inside and had the breakfast with angry face.

After that I didn't speak anything and went to my work that day.
