The establishment stands gleaming in the evening sun. The skies form beautiful shapes as the clouds moves in an unhindered manner.
In one of the offices, prisca sits with her two office mates, typing away on their laptops and scrutinizing files. A cup of coffee stands on her table half filled.
Prisca,26, beautiful, hardworking,5’6 and smart. She has the looks of a Hollywood actress. Her friend and colleague, Daniella often tease her for being a runaway princess. Her natural curves can drive any man crazy. She has a killer and banging shape. About that though, all of her siblings has the killer shape. It is a thing that runs in the family.
The closing alarm went off. Everyone sigh in relief.The activities in the room change from focus and efficiency to lightness and chats.
“Girl! it has been a long day. Goodness, I was waiting for that sound” Daniella said turning to prisca who kept her laptop and mouse away.
Someone giggled. It is Joe, the third staff in the room.
“You can say that again, I mean I am starving” Prisca said bringing a mirror from her bag.
“So what plans do you have for the evening?” Joe says glancing at prisca.
Prisca scoffs.
“Well, it should be none of your business” she says as she apply lipgloss on her lips.
“That was harsh” Daniella giggles.
“Joe turns to prisca. “You know sometimes, I wonder if you are an adult. You always behave like a kid” Joe said. Prisca ignores him.
“I know you would say that since she rejected you again “ Daniella says.
“Whatever “ Joe exclaims and leaves the office.
Prisca glance at her side. The quartz clock reads; 6:09. She sighs.
“And what is the problem?”Daniella asks checking out her look with prisca's mirror.
“Home, I'm thinking of the place I call home” prisca grumbles. The sound of opened and closed doors emanates all around.
“I don't feel bad for you, you know. I have adviced you several times. Find a house, you can afford it or better still move in with me!” Daniella says as prisca rolls her eyes.
“I'm in my father's house for crying out loud. I should not feel less” prisca says taking her handbag.
“I'm so sorry, your lordship” Daniella said faking a bow while prisca ignores her.
Just then, the HR enters the office.
“Gosh, not now!” Daniella exclaims as she sights Mr Joe
“Of course, I just want to say something important. Where is Aiden ” Joe asks
“He left already, can't this wait till tomorrow?” prisca whines even though she knows Mr Joe won't go away.
Mr Joe is a workaholic who likes to work very hard. He actually deserves the post of the office HR. Somehow, Daniella has a crush on him.
“ It is about our new boss” he started. “I'd fill Aiden in about this. I still have his digits.
“Okay? What about him?” Daniella said.
“He is resuming tomorrow” Mr Joe says. “You know, Mr Declan has been busy with other things and his son would be coming to take on things” he announced and the duo gasp.
“Wow, I don't even know how to feel” Daniella says and Mr Joe gasps at her.
“Feel? what business do you have with feeling? Mr Joe asks while prisca giggles.
“Don't mind her, perhaps she is thinking of crushing already “ prisca says and Daniella gasps.
“You brat” Daniella blurted while Mr Joe giggles.
“Actually, I am here to tell you this, I don't know about crush or kill or whatever” Mr joe says in sarcasm.
“Whatever, can we go now?” prisca says and Mr Joe nods leaving the room.
“Why do I feel connected with the new boss already?”Daniella says dreamingly.
“Because you are crazy, You don't even know who he is, perhaps he is some ugly silly creature “ prisca says while Daniella shakes her head in disbelief.
“Come on,Mr Declan has a good gene, I doubt if he can ever procreate nonsense” Daniella argues.
“I see, to think you have even sized his father up. Daniella, can you please get a boyfriend?” Prisca says in disgust.
“But it is hard getting one, not to talk of the one that'll stay. Come on, you know this just like anyone else” Daniella says rolling her eyes.
“Well, I know, but that doesn't give you the right to flirt around. What about the neighbor guy, what is going on between you too?” Prisca says glancing at the clock. 6:17. She sighs. She could just go with Daniella to have dinner.
“ I don't know about that. I'm gonna fuck around till I find the man that wants me. It is risky wanting a man. No one will take me serious” Daniella said.
“Whatever, that does not still justify infidelity. So should we go have dinner?” Prisca asks.
“Oh sorry pinky, I have my plans. I met a guy at the gym and we are hanging out tonight. Tomorrow maybe” Daniella said.
“Oh! I see, I guess I will just see you tomorrow then” prisca said taking her handbag again and leaving the office. Daniella follows suit.
The office is almost deserted as only few staffs are still around.
Some people are seen walking in and out of the office conference hall. The secretary Gina came around.
“Hey Gina, what's up” Daniella said.
“Daniella, how are you? prisca, Are you not going home?” Gina said.
“What is going on there, why are there people in the conference hall?” Daniella asked ignoring Gina's question.
“Oh, the new boss is resuming tomorrow, so we are preparing a little welcome party. The decorations is being done” Gina said and the two friends nodded in realization.
“Okay then, see you tomorrow Gina” Daniella said and the two friends walked out with Gina going the opposite direction.
