Introduction
When his posture tenses, his eyes darken "I have no issue tearing those off and flipping you over my fucking knee because you value me as your friend. As the alpha, you must obey my commands." Did he just mean what I believe he said? I could hear girls in the crowd talking about Alpha Knox and his fit body, but I was concentrating on something much more critical. "And who is your companion?" With sarcasm seeping into the cracks, I inquired. His hand gripped my butt tightly, his nose making contact with my sweet spot, which will one day be marked by my mate, his heated breath sending shivers up and down my spine. "I believe you are conscious." He went away from that.

"Rosette, your um... you have a wedgie girl."

I look over to my friend, Eli as he continues to stare at my rear end.

"Shit, I may be gay but that booty girl. You got a plump one." He laughs as I fix my shorts.

I sigh, "they won't stop doing that!" Frustrated, I try to pull my shorts below my hip bone in hopes the 'wedgie affair' would come to a close.

"Rosette, it's the last day of school. Do you really want detention for stripping? Or worse?" I catch my eye of Mrs. Freddie shaking her head at me while holding her plastic water bottle in the crook of her arm.

Mumbling a no, I grab hold of Eli's arm, practically dragging him to the cafeteria for lunch.

"Do you really think thats water in her bottle? I swear it has to be vodka, there's no way she's always so relaxed like that." Eli said in a single breath.

Grabbing a tray and walking into the lunch line, I simply shrug my shoulders. "I couldn't blame her if it was, stuck up and jocky wolves are a lot to handle, especially with the raging hormones. Besides, she wasn't so relaxed just now. She practically blamed me for stripping in the middle of the hall."

"Maybe she wanted you to. She could be a lesbian." Eli said calmly as he grabbed hold of the vegetarian options.

Which is one thing I'll never understand. Being a wolf, we practically crave meat... and he only eats vegetables and fruit. Might as well give him a bowl of grass...

After loading our trays with snickerdoodles and cheaply made school food, we go to our regular table and plop down.

Just as Eli was about to open his mouth, our principles voice echoed over the loud speakers.

"Attention Lunar High, I would like to make an announcement of a special guest that will be attending this years kick off to summers bon fire this evening."

Eli and I furrow our eyebrows, while holding eye contact. I knew we were both just as curious to know who was attending the annual bonfire.

"We will be welcoming, the Alpha of our neighboring pack, Alpha Knox. He is here for a short while, but I expect all of you to be on your very best behaviors and stay well mannered. That is all, have a wonderful and safe last day."

Eli gasped and squealed into his hands.

He's acting just like the other drama queens and kings at this school.

"What's the big deal?" I ask, taking a bite of my snicker doodle.

Slamming his hands on the table,

a bit dramatic but that's my bestie so... I'll take it

and looking at me as if I have chicken feet for ears.

"Biiiitch, he's like so hot. He's one of the most intense and feared alphas. How do you not know this? Did you not know he was coming?" He asked with a hint of shock in his voice.

I furrowed my eyebrows for a second as I thought of a way to answer. "My dad mentioned something about having an alpha come to our territory to discuss something on a treaty they've made. That's all I know. Since I'm not in line to be the next alpha, I guess he just didn't find it extra important to make a big deal?" I answered questioningly.

My dad being the alpha, who runs everything to be in a military order, usually only tells high command and those to be in command, things that would be taken as important. The higher the command, the more detail. Seeing as my older brother is next in line, he is up to date on everything and is usually assisting dad in meetings. Me on the other hand, the baby in the family, the only girl, I get coddled and many treat me as if I was made of porcelain. Too fragile for the real world.

But I'm not.

People just think that.

And it's fucking annoying.

"Yoo-hoo!"

I jolt in my seat and notice Eli has been snapping his finger in my face. "You gonna finish your snicker doodle?"

I take one more bite before giving him the rest, which he joyfully devoured.

"Maybe if you ate meat, you wouldn't crave these?" I snorted, knowing right away I was going to get under his skin.

"It's a choice. I love bunnies and kitties. I couldn't dare eat one." He said, popping the last bite of cookie into his mouth.

"Well of course you wouldn't eat a kitty, you're gay." I say, laughing half way through.

Eli jokingly smacks my arm before adding, "Gay and glittery. Don't forget it."

The last bell rings, letting us all out of school. Or hell...

I sit up from my seat and pull my shorts up, above my hips knowing that I'd be passing by Mrs. Freddie's class and didn't want her to think I was waiting for my shorts to fall off at any moment because they're so low.

Grabbing my things out of my locker, I pull my phone out from my pocket and see a text from Eli asking if I could wait for him outside.

I take one more look at my locker before removing the lock for the last time.

Being a senior, this was my last time using a locker. It's sad but exciting at the same time.

No more getting my hair caught in the locker door. No more failed attempts to open the lock. It's freeing really...

I place my book bag over my shoulder and keep my phone in hand to play games when I reach outside. I've been addicted to Candy Crush, and nows my chance to beat level fifty-two.

Leaning against the brick wall of the school, my book bag at my feet, I open my phone to play on it, only to have someone slam into me, causing me to drop my phone onto the non forgiving concrete.

"Shit! My bad, are you okay?" My eyes meet Conners, the schools favored football player and over achiever. He's always rubbed me the wrong way, so I've always avoided him.

"Yeah, but my phone isn't." I sigh, wanting to pound his face with my broken phone.

Picking my phone off from the ground, "Oh fuck. I can get it fixed, can I?" He asked, but something was off in his eyes. I didn't know what, but my gut... my wolf both knew something about this wasn't right.

"No thanks, I have a backup at home." I say, snatching my phone from his hands.

"I insist." His nostrils flared as his lips curled in a grinch-like state.

"No!" I shout. "Now, go."

With that, his eyes changed to 'oh shit' and he darted back to his friends.

I may not be the next in line to be Alpha, but I still have the gene. Omegas like him... actually... just him, have no choice but to follow alpha commands. It's in their genes.

Though I wish I scared him off... not just because of the alpha gene but because I don't want to be some fragile little girl who always needs to be cared for.

With that thought, I low growl echoes the courtyard in front of the school.

Catching my attention, I turn in the direction of the growl. My eyes meeting the darkest and most alluring set of eyes I've ever seen.

My breathing quickens as if I'm hyperventilating at the sight of the worlds most devilishly handsome man I have ever laid my eyes on.

Adjusting my sight, I take in his appearance. Maybe I'm in slow motion... I'm not going to rat myself out...

his hair was thick and dark brown, his face clean shaven, but his jaw... clenched and sharp. Extremely clenched... I wonder why.

He's dressed awfully nice to be at the school, I wonder what he's here for... with dark grey slacks and a blue button down with the sleeves rolled up, tattoos devouring both arms... The things I want to do to those arms-

"Oh shit." I screech as Eli jumps out from behind me, saying that he's ready for summer to begin. "I see you got your trumpet."

"Yep, and I'm ready to get out of here. We have to get ready for the bonfire." He says with pure excitement dripping off each and every word. "I call dibs on your sparkly silver top!" He says, clapping his hands together as if he just won a bidding at a horse race.

I roll my eyes and follow Eli to his car.

He asked me who the 'hunk in blue' was but not knowing myself, I didn't have much of an answer.

After filling him in on the phone incident with Conner, he parks in front of the pack house and takes the key out of the ignition. "What I would love to do to that prissy ball loving jersey wearing son of a bitch." He says as he smacks the steering wheel. "I don't understand his problem."

I mutter a "me either" as I sunk into the passenger seat.

"Maybe he wants you." He said while adjusting his mirror so he could apply his lip gloss.

"Then he's going the wrong way about it." I say as I exit the car.

Eli follows me inside and I greet Anderson, or as I call, mini alpha.

"Good last day?" He asked as he adjusted the collar on his dress shirt.

"I guess. Why are you so fancy?" I question.

His usual attire is Superman pajama pants and a white t shirt... some alpha I say.

Clearing his throat, he glances at Eli and I before searching around him for his phone, which he found in his hand... ding-bat. "I have to go up to the high school for a meeting. Dad, is over there showing Alpha Knox around and discussing the education we offer our pack. That's what our meeting is about. Well... one of the meetings. We have one tomorrow morning here in the discussion hall at nine."

"I bet he's the hunk we saw!" Eli screamed as he hit my chest, a little to close to the girls but I know it was just pure excitement that caused his hand thrashing.

I shrugged my shoulders, knowing all too well that if we continue speaking of the man in blue, that I'll end up blushing myself into a sweat.

Just as Anderson, mini alpha, opened his mouth, I grabbed hold of Eli's hand and dragged him behind me up the stairs to my room.

Eli looked at me with pure and utter confusion. "What? I want to get ready." I say defensively.

A total lie but he doesn't need to know that.

After a cluster on knocks on my door, it opens as Anderson's head pops into the room. "Dad said not to wear those shorts to the bonfire. He said Alpha Knox wasn't pleased with the peep show he saw when entering the school." With that he left and his steps echoed as he went in his way out of the pack house and to the high school.

What the hell? The show? Sorry my shorts ride up my ass. But these are cute. With the little bit of lace on the front... they're cute and in style. Besides, there were like four other girls wearing these kinds of shorts while he saw me in these.

"I'm keeping them on for the bonfire."

Eli made a 'yaaaassss bitch' face at me while grabbing my arm, "I love you so much for that girl. You are an independent wolf bitch, he probably just wanted to get a handful of your booty. He doesn't think he'll be able to contain himself at the bonfire if you wear those." He giggled as he searched my closets for my sparkly top that he called dibs on earlier.

After two hours of torture, and many subject dodges

all dodging Alpha Knox

Eli was glitzed out with glam makeup, outfit and a handful of breath mints in his mouth.

I on the other hand, slipped into a pair of wedges and a pale pink crop top and white bralette. And as promised, the same shorts. But pulled up higher so a bit more of buttcheek was on display.

No, I don't like showing off my body. Although I have curves in all the right places. I'm just proving a point.

I'm my own person and can wear whatever I want. No one. Especially from another pack, will tell me what I can and cannot wear.

After applying a little more mascara and a light pink sparkly lip gloss. I run a brush through my long wavy red hair.

"Ready?" I ask, turning to Eli.

"Have been, I don't know why you wait to the last minute but we look hot as hell."

"Agreed." I say, taking his arm in mine as we exit my room and head for the bonfire.
