Chapter 1

　　Dawn -

　　I stared at the toilet feeling like I would soon fill it.

　　Finally my smart watch vibrated and I knew it meant I had five minutes to be in the Head Mistress’ office.

　　I stood up straight and took a deep breath in attempts to calm myself.

　　Before leaving the restroom I examined myself in the mirror.

　　‘You’re here for a reason. This is what she wanted for you.’

　　Without wasting more time I exited the bathroom and did my best to navigate the hallways from memory.

　　No one was at the secretary’s desk so I just took a seat when I reached my destination.

　　Just a few moments later the Head Mistress’ door opened and I was stunned.

　　Expecting a cliche older woman I was taken entirely by surprise when a beautiful young woman walked out.

　　She was short, brunette, both slim, but curvy, with incredible brown eyes.

　　Head Mistress: ‘Are you my eight o’clock?’

　　I quickly stood.

　　‘Yes Ma’am, Dawn.’

　　She turned and headed back into her office while raising her hand over her shoulder, using her index finger to signal me to follow her.

　　Head Mistress: ‘I’m the Head Mistress here, Head Mistress Lovelace.’

　　As I entered her office she stood at the door that read Head Mistress Lovelace until I was inside and then shut it.

　　‘Yes Ma’am.’

　　Head Mistress: ‘Sit.’

　　She went around her desk and took a seat as well.

　　Head Mistress: ‘As you are aware freshman orientation is in an hour. I typically do not meet with students on the first day, but you are in fact a special situation.’

　　‘Yes Ma’am, I apologize for my late application.’

　　Head Mistress: ‘First you need to stop apologizing unless there is a genuine reason to do so. Because you submitted an application when I would typically be away before the start of a new school year we have not met yet. Also, an application submitted during the time I typically take my leave would not be accepted, however your entrance essay was so moving that my summer staff felt the need to interrupt the time I take off every year before the start of school to contact me and have me review it.’

　　‘Again I’m very sorry Ma’am.’

　　Head Mistress: ‘I will repeat myself, which I do not enjoy doing. Stop apologizing unless you know that you have done something wrong. In this environment you have to be confident in yourself. You have listed yourself as a potential submissive meaning if you are not careful there are plenty of people who would love to take advantage of your willing submission. I read your essay and I am aware of the reasons for your application to be so late and personally feel that you are the one deserving the apology for the traumatic summer you experienced.’

　　‘Thank you Ma’am.’

　　Head Mistress: ‘Typically I would not have any meetings before orientation but since I was away and not able to hold your entrance interviews I just wanted to touch base with you. As I said your essay explained the great loss that you have experienced lately so I want to make you aware of the counseling services we have available at all times. I also want to ask you one time and only one time if you have any hesitation about taking this next step in your life?’

　　‘No Ma’am, my head went a lot of places over the summer. I not only lost my wife after only a few months of being married, but I also lost my parents that were the only family I had left. I feel like the absolute best thing I can do for me is to educate myself and discover who I really am. As my essay stated my late wife and I had only begun exploring a power exchange when we discovered her illness. It was her wish that I would continue to explore the submissive side of my heart after she was gone. The only reservations I might have had would have been my parents which you are also aware were both lost in a tragic car accident not long after I said goodbye to my wife. So I have no hesitation about this next step in my life.’

　　Head Mistress: ‘Very good then, I do not think it would be unreasonable to request you do speak to one of the counselors I mentioned being available regularly since you have been through a lot lately and are starting a huge new chapter in your life. All students are required to see a counselor a set number of times their first two years, however I do recommend that you increase that number with your special circumstances.’

　　‘Yes Ma’am I have no problems with that.’

　　Head Mistress: ‘Unfortunately I have more business to attend to before orientation can begin so this meeting must be cut short, however expect an invitation to my office again so that I can keep an eye on you.’

　　‘Yes Head Mistress, I look forward to it.’
