# Chapter 1: The Mysterious Trader
The rain had been falling since midnight.
Amelia Carter stood beside the window of her tiny apartment, watching the city lights blur behind the streams of water running down the glass.
Her laptop was open on the small table behind her.
On its screen were rows of numbers, candlestick charts, and currency pairs.
EUR/USD.
GBP/USD.
USD/JPY.
She stared at the screen without blinking.
Her account balance was almost empty.
Again.
Amelia sighed and leaned back in her chair.
“Maybe I'm just not made for this.”
For two years, she had studied forex trading.
She had watched countless tutorials, read books, practiced on demo accounts, and spent nights analyzing charts.
But whenever real money was involved, fear took over.
She either entered too late or closed a winning trade too early.
Tonight, however, something was different.
A notification suddenly appeared on her laptop.
**NEW MESSAGE FROM: UNKNOWN TRADER**
Amelia frowned.
She had never seen the name before.
Curiosity made her click it.
A simple message appeared.
**“Stop trading with your emotions.”**
Amelia stared at the screen.
“What?”
Another message appeared.
**“You have been watching the GBP/USD chart for thirty-seven minutes.”**
Her eyes widened.
“How does he know that?”
Before she could respond, another message appeared.
**“Buy nothing. Wait.”**
Amelia hesitated.
She looked at the chart.
The market was moving quickly.
A few seconds later, the price suddenly dropped.
She gasped.
If she had entered when she originally planned to, she would have lost money.
Her heart began pounding.
Who was this person?
She typed:
**“Who are you?”**
The reply came almost immediately.
**“Someone who knows the market better than you do.”**
Amelia rolled her eyes.
“Arrogant.”
She typed another message.
**“Then prove it.”**
There was a short pause.
Then a message appeared.
**“Tomorrow. 9:00 a.m. Central Tower. Thirty-second floor.”**
Amelia froze.
Central Tower was one of the most expensive business buildings in the city.
Only major banks, investment companies, and wealthy businessmen had offices there.
She typed:
**“Why would I meet you?”**
The answer appeared.
**“Because you're about to make the biggest mistake of your trading career.”**
Amelia's expression changed.
She stared at the message for several seconds.
Then she typed:
**“And what mistake is that?”**
No response.
She waited.
One minute.
Two minutes.
Five minutes.
Nothing.
Finally, she closed the laptop.
She tried to convince herself that the mysterious trader was simply another arrogant person hiding behind a computer screen.
But deep inside, she knew something was bothering her.
He had predicted the market movement perfectly.
And he somehow knew what she had been doing.
The next morning, Amelia arrived at Central Tower ten minutes early.
She stepped into the enormous lobby and looked around nervously.
Everything about the building screamed wealth.
Marble floors.
Golden lights.
Expensive suits.
Businessmen speaking quietly into phones.
Amelia checked the message again.
**Thirty-second floor.**
She entered the elevator.
As the doors closed, her heart began beating faster.
When the elevator reached the thirty-second floor, she stepped into a silent hallway.
A receptionist looked up.
“Can I help you?”
“I’m here to see someone.”
“Who?”
Amelia hesitated.
“I... actually don't know his name.”
The receptionist raised an eyebrow.
Before she could explain further, a deep voice came from behind her.
“She's with me.”
Amelia turned.
And for the first time, she saw him.
He was tall, dressed in a perfectly fitted black suit, with dark hair and an expression that revealed almost nothing.
He looked younger than she expected.
But there was something about him that made the entire hallway seem to become quieter.
The receptionist immediately stood.
“Good morning, Mr. Blackwood.”
Amelia's eyes widened.
Blackwood.
She had heard that name before.
Everyone in the financial world had.
Alexander Blackwood.
The mysterious billionaire investor who had built a fortune through international markets before the age of thirty.
Some people called him a genius.
Others called him ruthless.
Nobody seemed to know much about his personal life.
Alexander looked directly at Amelia.
“You came.”
She crossed her arms.
“You invited me.”
A faint smile appeared on his face.
“I wasn't sure you would.”
“Why did you contact me?”
Alexander turned toward a large glass office.
“Come inside.”
Amelia followed him.
The office overlooked the entire city.
Multiple monitors covered one wall, displaying forex charts and financial data.
She stopped walking.
“This is your trading floor?”
“My private office.”
She looked around.
“You trade all these markets yourself?”
Alexander sat behind his desk.
“No.”
Amelia raised an eyebrow.
“Then who does?”
He looked at her calmly.
“People who work for me.”
She suddenly understood.
This wasn't just a trader.
He was an entire financial empire.
Alexander opened a file on his desk.
Inside were several pages containing Amelia's trading history.
Her eyes widened.
“You investigated me?”
“I studied you.”
“That sounds worse.”
“It depends on how you look at it.”
Amelia reached for the file.
Alexander stopped her.
“Before you touch that, answer one question.”
“What?”
“Why do you want to become a successful trader?”
Amelia went silent.
She had expected him to ask about her strategy.
Her risk management.
Her experience.
Not this.
“Because I want freedom,” she finally said.
Alexander watched her carefully.
“Freedom from what?”
“Everything.”
He leaned back.
For the first time, his expression softened.
“Good answer.”
Amelia frowned.
“What does any of this have to do with me?”
Alexander pushed a contract across the desk.
“I'm offering you a job.”
She stared at the document.
“A job?”
“Work for me.”
“I don't even know what the job is.”
“You'll learn.”
“And why me?”
Alexander looked directly into her eyes.
“Because you have something my other traders don't.”
“What?”
“You don't know how powerful you could become.”
Amelia stared at him.
She couldn't tell whether he was serious.
Then Alexander said something that changed everything.
“There's a trader inside my company who has been stealing millions from me.”
Her expression changed.
“And you think I can find him?”
“No.”
Alexander's voice became colder.
“I think you're the only person he won't suspect.”
Amelia slowly looked down at the contract.
She had come to Central Tower expecting a lesson in forex trading.
Instead, she had just been offered a position inside a billionaire's financial empire.
And she had no idea that accepting the offer would pull her into a world of money, secrets, betrayal—and a man whose greatest secret was far more dangerous than the markets themselves.
