"Sigh."
Chen Ziyun woke up from his dream, his clothes already soaked in sweat.
"What…is this?"
Just as Chen Ziyun opened his eyes, he was frozen in disbelief of everything before him, like a scarecrow stupefied by shock.
Looking at the passengers inside the bus chatting happily, and listening to the song "Those Years" playing, Chen Ziyun could ascertain that this was no dream. Everything was real.
After calming himself for a long time, Chen Ziyun revealed a trace of sorrowful smile on his face. The scenery outside the vehicle, the song playing and his own memories, made it clear that he had time-travelled back to the year 2012 when he was 18 years old.
He thought about twelve years later when he would become the most famous fortune-teller in China, feared and respected by all nobles. His life was filled with glory, but it was short-lived and in just one year, a strange car accident took place. The next time he opened his eyes, he found himself here.
Chen Ziyun wasn't sure what exactly had happened, but now that he had a chance to do things again, he would seize everything he had lost once again.
"Even if the sky wants to oppress me in this life, I will crush it and break the chains."
Chen Ziyun's eyes sparkled, a murderous light beginning to shine. If he hadn't been wearing an ordinary outfit that didn't garner attention, everyone surrounding him would have been shocked. In just a moment, his aura had changed significantly.
"Hey, what are you doing? Have you no shame?"
At that moment, a woman's voice came from inside the bus. Everyone followed the voice and turned their heads, only to see a woman with a slightly red face, indignantly yelling at a man next to her.
The man was dressed in a black jacket, blonde highlights in his hair, and he seemed to be in his early twenties, with an earring in his ear. He took back his hand that had been behind the woman, his expression changed in an instant.
The passengers inside the bus quickly understood. If their guess was correct, this was a harassment incident. However, the man looked like a small thug and even though some passengers were watching, they dared not say much.
"Damn it, you can't handle a little touch?"
The man, seeing that the passengers in the car didn't dare to speak, became even more brazen, taking a step forward towards the woman, his hand openly reaching towards her.
"What... what are you doing?"
Upon seeing this, the woman felt somewhat dazed, a look of fear on her face.
Seeing this, Chen Ziyun shook his head and sighed.
"If you back off now, it's not too late."
His voice wasn't loud or soft, so that most people in the car could hear it. This included the young thug, who looked back at Chen Ziyun in disbelief, the boy sitting there with seeming indifference.
Quite a few of the passengers shook their heads, thinking that this boy was sticking his nose in where it didn't belong, wasn't this seeking death?
"Kid? What did you say?"
The thug cast a glance at Chen Ziyun, a playful expression on his face, completely ignoring him.
"I said if you back off now, it's not too late, or else, you're going to die."
Chen Ziyun glanced at the thug, then withdrew his gaze, seemingly too lazy to look at him again.
And this was to be expected because when Chen Ziyun looked at the thug, he noticed a trace of dark energy shrouding his forehead, nose tip, and both sides of the jaw, which in physiognomy, almost indicated that he could barely live for three days. Normally this wouldn't matter, after all, the guy still had two days left to live.
Sadly, as the saying goes, one can avoid divine retribution, but not self-inflicted calamity.
At that instant, the bus was passing by the site of the 731 troop station in Songbei city. You should know that even in summer, if you get close to this place, you'd feel a strange chill, it is a notorious place filled with restless spirits and so-called evil energy in FengShui.
Moreover, the bus was moving from North to East, with high buildings on the right and low ones the left, forming the White Tiger configuration in FengShui. The bus was entering this White Tiger configuration from outside, thereby drawing in the evil energy. Under normal circumstances, even if one entered, it wouldn't have any notable impact.
The punk was already on the brink of death, the capricious nature of his life drawing him ever closer to his final day. Had he lived quietly through this White Tiger Killing Formation, he may have survived, but his rising fury at this point is stirring the malicious energies within the formation, accelerating his impending demise.
"Young man, are you seeking death? Do you know who I am?"
Upon hearing this from Chen Ziyun, the punk's face twisted into an expression of rage. Ignoring the woman next to him, he strode towards Chen Ziyun, raising his fist in an attempt to strike.
As for the surrounding passengers, their reactions were mixed. Some thought the youth should not have interfered, some thought the punk overstepped his bounds, but the majority were angry but dared not speak.
"Returning on the first day and witnessing death, such bad luck."
Chen Ziyun didn't even look at the punk, but watched the scenery outside the window. As the bus had now entered the heart of the Killing Formation, the punk's wrath was reaching its peak. Chen Ziyun was certain of one thing — the punk was as good as dead.
"You're asking for it."
Unable to control his temper, the punk's fist was about to come crashing down.
"Screech."
Just as the punk's punch was about to connect with Chen Ziyun's head, a child suddenly darted out in front of the bus, prompting the driver to slam on the brakes.
The bus came to a swift halt‚ the inertia causing many passengers to scream in fear. Fortunately, most were seated and even those standing grabbed to hold onto something. Chen Ziyun seemed to have anticipated these events, having earlier braced his feet against the seat in front of him and clung to the nearby handrail.
Unfortunately, the punk was not as lucky. When the bus came to a sudden stop, he lost his balance since he was about to strike Chen Ziyun. The punk's body flew forward, his head smashing into the windshield, causing a hail of blood and resulting in a large hole in the glass.
He died on the spot.
The passengers inside the bus were stupefied at the scene before them. As they remembered Chen Ziyun's earlier comments and looked back at him, their eyes filled with a mixture of fear and awe.
Chen Ziyun, however, remained unperturbed. He stood up and immediately left the bus. It was his first day after rebirth and he didn't want to spend too long in the company of a dead man.
