During the rainy season, the weather can change without warning. One minute it's clear skies as far as the eye can see, the next there's a thunderous downpour.

Li Xiangyang had been fishing in the pond, and was about to catch a fish when heavy drops of rain started to pour down with a mighty rustling sound.

Given the situation, it didn't seem like it was going to stop anytime soon. In a state of panic, he got out of the pond, grabbed his clothes and bucket, and ran towards a nearby cave.

The cave, known as Ling Mountain Cave, was believed by the old people of the village to have been left behind during the sacrificial rites in the reign of Emperor Song ShenZong.

Due to years of neglect, it had fallen into decay, and aside from a stone statue of an unknown personage, there was really nothing to see.

Over time, it had simply become a place for villagers to shelter from the rain.

Once he had taken shelter in the cave, Li Xiangyang took a moment to calm his racing pulse before checking on the fish inside his bucket.

These were for his mother, Wei Hua, to help her regain her strength. He wondered when her health would finally improve...

Thinking about this, Li Xiangyang felt quite distressed.

His mother, Wei Hua, had been involved in a car accident while working when he was eleven years old, leaving her bedridden for life.

Although it is often said that poverty forces a child to mature early, Li Xiangyang had always been economical, taking on farm work during holidays and even working for others. Still, these efforts barely covered the needs.

In order to afford her medical treatment, their original savings had long been exhausted, and they were now in debt nearly ninety thousand yuan.

Li Xiangyang understood the financial pressure on his family. He dropped out of high school before graduating to help at home.

His father, Li Feng, didn't have much to say about it. He remembered that his father only patted his head and sighed at that time, and the next day he followed the others in the village to work outside.

After all, more money could be made outside.

Therefore, the heavy burden of the family falls onto Li Xiangyang's shoulders.

During the day, he works as a laborer for others, and in his free time, he catches fish and wild chickens. In short, he never misses any chances to make money.

Despite the hardships of life, he never complains.

"Seems like this rain is going to last for a while."

Li Xiangyang sat on the ground, his back leaning against an unidentifiable stone statue, idly closing his eyes.

Just then, the sudden sound of hurried footsteps came. Following, a thoroughly soaked woman came into view.

It was Chunhui, the woman next door.

When Li Xiangyang saw Chunhui rushing in his direction, he was about to greet her, but then quickly closed his mouth.

Because of the rain, Chunhui's original red dress was tightly knit to her body, and the white bra inside was clearly visible...

Li Xiangyang looked very clearly, and involuntarily felt a dry throat, just looking dumbly at the side of the stone statue, and subconsciously moved closer.

Yang Chunhui was famously beautiful across several villages, but unfortunately misfortune befell her. Less than a week after her marriage, her husband died of illness.

Nevertheless, she was kind-hearted, not only taking careful care of her mother-in-law, but also carrying the entire household chores on her own.

In the village, whenever Chunhui was mentioned, everyone gave her a thumbs-up.

But her mother-in-law, Dame Shen, did not think so. She always felt that Chunhui was the cause of her son's death, always glaring at her without giving her a gracious face for a day.

"This damn weather, just starts raining without warning, hope grandma doesn't blame me!"

Yang Chunhui didn't notice there was someone else in the cave due to her vision being obscured by her flowing hair.

With her clothes soaked and clinging uncomfortely to her body, she instinctively lifted her long skirt and bent over to wring out the water, hoping they would dry quicker.

Seeing this scene, Li Xiangyang was completely dumbfounded, his mouth agape.

Her perfectly rounded and fair buttocks, her full, long legs...

He truly didn't mean to peep, but everything happened so quickly.

Li Xiangyang was only twenty this year, an age when blood runs hot, and such a scene was too much for him to handle.

Crack!

He subconsciously tried to slowly turn away, to avoid future embarrassment.

But who knew his leg would go numb, causing him to trip. In the spacious cave, the sound echoed sharply.

Upon hearing the noise, Yang Chunhui instinctively turned her head, only to see Li Xiangyang awkwardly bent over in front of her.

"Xiangyang, when did you..."

Yang Chunhui hurriedly lowered her skirt in panic, her face flushing an instant. She pressed hard on her skirt, unsure of what to do.

"Chunhui, I, like you, was here to shelter from the rain. I didn't expect you to rush in too. I didn't mean to..."

Crack!

Seeing her uncomfortable expression, Li Xiangyang stuttered, trying to explain for fear of being misunderstood.

Just as he was halfway through his sentence, he suddenly heard a loud crash. He initially thought it was thunder, but quickly realized that the sound seemed to be quite close to him.

Li Xiangyang turned his head to look and saw this stone statue starting to topple over.

The direction it was falling towards, was indeed where Yang Chunhui, who currently had a stupefied expression on her face, was standing.

"Sister-in-law, watch out..."

Li Xiangyang didn't have the time to worry about anything else as he swiftly jumped over, embracing Yang Chunhui and rolling away.

Boom!

The statue fell with a loud thud. As luck would have it, the head of the statue happened to hit Li Xiangyang's head.

Blood followed the ridges of the statue, flowing to the heart section of the statue...

"Yang, are you alright?!"

It took Yang Chunhui a while before she regained her senses. She pushed the statue to one side and anxiously asked him.

"Cough… I'm fine."

Li Xiangyang clasped his temples, pressing hard. Apart from feeling a little dizzy and in pain, there didn’t seem to be any serious problems.

"Are you okay? You're bleeding. Are you saying that you're alright? Does it hurt…"

Seeing the fresh blood on Li Xiangyang's forehead, Yang Chunhui's eyes were filled with anxiety. Gently, she used the corner of her clothes to wipe it away.

Considering how close they were, Li Xiangyang could not only see her red undergarments but also a glimpse of her chest.

"Is this the scent of a woman?"

Li Xiangyang was gradually losing his composure, not wishing to embarrass himself. He quickly stood up and said, "Sis, I'm really okay... Ah, the rain has stopped!"

The rain had stopped at just the right time!

"Are you sure you're okay? Maybe later we should see a doctor, just to make sure there won't be any after-effects."

Yang Chun-hui was fully concerned about Li Xiangyang, not noticing his embarrassed state.

Seeing Yang Chun-hui's worried expression, Li Xiangyang felt a warmth in his heart. He reassured her, "Sis, don't worry, the rain has stopped, let's go home."

Li Xiangyang, worried that his sister-in-law Chun-hui might notice something off, kept his head down.

Seeing that he seemed genuinely okay, Yang Chun-hui was slightly relieved.

Following behind her, Li Xiangyang would steal glances at her every now and then.

Yang Chun-hui sensed something, quickened her pace, and when they reached the start of the village, they parted ways without further words.

Back home, just as he opened the door, he heard a feeble voice ring out: "Yangyang, the rain was so heavy, you weren't drenched, right?"

Hearing her mother's concerned voice, Li Xiangyang picked up a towel to wipe his face and walked into the inner room with a smile, "Mom, I hid in a cave to shelter from the rain, as you can see, I'm fine."

His mother Wei Hua, weakly lifted her head. Seeing that he was fine, she fell silent.

Li Xiangyang sighed silently, didn't say anything more, and returned to his own room.

Just as he closed his eyes and laid on his bed, suddenly, a voice echoed abruptly in his mind: "Spiritual Mountain Cave Mansion's inheritance recognizes you as the master!"
