This was the delivery room in Angelic Aid Hospital in City S.
Hailee Potter lay on the operating table, disheveled and pale. Her sweat was profuse while blood kept gushing from her vagina with her legs wide open. The blood stained the white bedsheet.
In the pool of blood lay a baby, and his umbilical cord was still connected to his mother. With his eyes tightly closed, his face was turning purple. His small mouth was slightly open while his tiny chest heaved up and down slowly.
Cecelia Potter turned the baby with the forceps and said maliciously, "Oh dear... My little nephew is so tough. He survived my drug and the premature delivery."
Kason Nelson sneered and then shot one glance at the baby. "So what? He will die anyway. I won't allow a bitch like her to be the mother of my child, the future heir of the Nelson family! Hmph!"
Hailee glared at the two people right before her, and hatred grew like wild grass. With flames of resentment burning in her eyes, she cursed through her gritted teeth. "Both of you will go to hell!"
This curse amused Cecelia so much that she laughed. "Hailee, don't you understand? It is you who will go to hell right away... Together with your baby son! Kason and I will lead a happy life from now on."
Hailee trembled with fury, and her nails were deep into the flesh of her palms because of her clenched fists. She ground her teeth. "If you hurt me, my father..."
"Oh dear, I'm so scared." Cecelia deliberately snuggled up to Kason. With a bright smile, she said, "I forgot to tell you that your father is my biological father."
What?
It astonished Hailee that her adopted sister turned out to be her half-one!
While Hailee was still in shock, Cecelia said triumphantly, "By the way, Oscar is my biological brother. After you die, he and I can rightfully inherit the wealth of the Potter family."
"My cousin is my half-brother!" With this thought, Hailee concluded that she and her mother had been jokes all these years. She hatefully glared at the gloating Cecelia.
Right then, Kason asked in a cold voice, "Do you want to see how your son will die?"
Hailee struggled to get up, but the difficult labor had consumed all her strength. She was so feeble that she fell back to the bed before she sat up. Therefore, all she could do was shout indignantly. "What are you doing? I warn you..."
Her warning was interrupted by Cecelia. "Your mother is dead, and Dad doesn't like you. You have nothing but the last breath, so can your warning work?"
"Please! I beg you! Spare my child..." The heavy blows came one after another, and Hailee finally broke down in tears. She pleaded with Cecelia.
Kason cut off the umbilical cord connecting Hailee and her child, grabbed the baby by the leg, and flung him to the operating table. Hailee finally got one glimpse of her child, who hadn't cried after his birth.
Cecelia patted the face of the baby. "To save this bastard? No way! Open your eyes and look at him carefully, or you won't recognize him in hell."
The baby's purple face broke Hailee's heart. Hailee wished to touch the face of her child and bring him up, but she was in such a miserable state that she couldn't protect herself. She could do nothing but watch him die right before her.
In agony, she heard Cecelia say, "Dear, I'm smart, am I not? I killed her mother, and now she will die with her child..."
"That car accident Mom died in is an intentional murder." Hailee thought. The truth infuriated her. "Kason, Cecelia, never will I forgive you even if I die!"
The agonized Hailee felt herself floating in the air. Then, she saw a figure resembling herself lying on the operating table with tears of blood around the wide-open eyes. Obviously, she wouldn't rest in peace.
