The night was vast as the cold biting wind was blowing, cloaking the city in darkness. Rowena Quartley dragged her tired body towards the gorgeous but frigid villa. This was her marital home with Harrison Jordon.

She had married the wealthiest man amongst the younger generation of Zuckbery men. Still, the truth was, her husband on paper, Harrison, had never regarded her as his true wife.

When Rowena walked to the villa's living room, she unexpectedly heard Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat major being played smoothly. She was stunned. Harrison was supposed to be on a business trip for a week. Did he return? Why had he suddenly become so interested in playing the piano?

Rowena couldn't help frowning. Soon, the music stopped. A woman's happy laughter could be heard, her voice was so soft that Rowena could imagine the woman's joyful look. The woman then proceeded to exclaim, "Harrison, we haven't seen each other for a year. You're improved since we last met!"

Rowena's heart suddenly sank. She stood there in a daze as her blood froze in her veins! Her husband actually brought another woman home? Furthermore, this woman's voice sounded very familiar...

She recognized that voice. It seemed to be Harrison's rumored girlfriend back when he was in college, Louisa Lawson.

Rowena slowly suppressed the anger in her heart. Her lips curled into a bleak smile. Hah! When did Harrison and Louisa get back together? Rowena thought of how Harrison had been a sweetheart to her in college. Yet, he began to distance himself from her because of Louisa's interference.

It was also because of Harrison's grandmother, Loraine Jordon, that Rowena and Harrison got married afterward.

"I practice regularly," Harrison's voice was gentler than usual. Sure enough, his tone was immensely different when he was with his first love.

Rowena stood there with a sarcastic smile plastered on her face. Meanwhile, the two of them sat with their backs to her and didn't notice her return at all.

However, Rowena didn't really want to see them together. Just when she was about to walk upstairs, Louisa's tone suddenly rose sharply as she shrieked exaggeratedly, "Rowena? You're... back?"

Rowena froze. She had planned to head upstairs quietly, but she didn't expect Louisa to notice she was there.

Rowena felt incredibly pitiful. Her husband and another woman were chatting away and laughing together in her new house, but she didn't even dare to say hello to them.

After all, Harrison usually acted indifferently towards her. He didn't even bother to spare her a look and acted as if she didn't exist. He would pretend to love her when he returned to the Jordon Mansion or show off his love in front of the media. However, in their cold marital home, they were like deeply acquainted strangers.

Rowena looked callously at the tall and beautiful woman who had stood up. She forced a smile on her face and said, "Hello, Miss Lawson, nice to meet you. I didn't want to interrupt you two since I noticed you were having a good time chatting."

Louisa's expression froze, but she was secretly pleased. It seemed that their relationship was not as harmonious as what the media had portrayed. If Rowena and Harrison really got along well, how could she have such an expression on her face now?

Rowena and Harrison's relationship seemed to be strained. Real couples naturally would not act like this. There would at least be an intimate atmosphere when they saw each other. Of course, this was ruled out if they had a bad relationship.

Harrison looked at Rowena nonchalantly and finally said, "Sorry, my wife is tired. Miss Lawson, let me see you out."

Louisa chuckled, "Sure. Rowen, we haven't seen each other for so many years. Let's meet up when we have the time..." She maintained a gentle smile, but in her heart, she was secretly smug. She had her ways to create more opportunities to get along with Harrison.
